The choice of the type of a symbol is sticky in the latest version of Illustrator. If a user toggles it to Static, it remains Static when another symbol is created — and vice versa.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedStatic symbols make smaller files because they all refer to a single symbol that is stored only once in the file, change that symbol and all instances will change.
With Dynamic Symbols you have more editing flexibility, you can have more variation within the instances of that symbol. But these instances are all stored individually in the file, making it much larger. -

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedSorry Marcel, I was joking, the pixel problem is solved because there are no pixels, it is empty with x-1a.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedSaving as PDF/X-1a solves at least the pixel problem :-)

As per the comment, go to 'Preferences > User Interface > Share Button' and select 'Match Brightness' — it will no longer appear blue.
To achieve the same in Photoshop, try toggling 'Neutral Color Mode' in 'Preferences > Interface'.
If you still wish to just have it gone for good — please upvote this separate request.

Latest Beta Build 29.1.0.79 now allows to add gradient and pattern swatches into color groups. Simple as that. I am personally amazed it just works.
Please try it yourself in the latest Beta and see if it works for you as well. My congratulations, everybody. Vote more!

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedLooks like the resolution problem is back:

I assume by After Effects, PNG files from AE CC 2018 15.0.1 work fine in Illustrator CC 2018 (and older versions). Good!

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedIt is very easy to reproduce, any PNG file rendered from After Effects has this behaviour (since years).
But how do you attach a sample file here?Ton supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedAs a workaround:
Global colors, gradients, brushes and pattern swatches are not supported in CC libraries.
But as a workaround you can drag an object using a brush/pattern/gradient/spot or global color to the CC Library
You can also drag multiple items using different brushes/patterns/gradients/global colors together into a CC library to simulate a library.
The easiest way to add them to a new document is to hold down the Alt key when you drag them from the library and place them in a new document. The patterns/gradients/global colors automatically get added to your swatches panel.
You can hit escape before you click to place the object(s) or delete the dragged library items because the swatches and brushes are now part of the document.Ton supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedIt is a CMYK document. See the difference in values between a single click on the black swatch versus dragging the same black swatch.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedThere is not much to review.
The bug started with the introduction of the place gun, which adds another click.
It could have been left as is was (and currently still is in Photoshop) just drag and drop it where you want.An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedStill under review...
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedIt is labeled as a feature request, but it is a bug,

Star is now a live shape and available in the all the public builds starting from V 28.3.0.
You can now customise your star in any way you like; may it be changing the no of sides, corner angles, or even the corner radius.
Please try it out and let us know what y'all think !
