Eslam, please tell more about the lag. What is lagging exactly, how strong, during which operations?

Dan, I can see the difference between zoom levels, yes, although I can’t say it’s extreme. Perhaps it is different on your machine?
Can you please measure the distance Ai scrolls the viewport at 100% and at something large, like 32000%. in screen pixels, after making one step of the wheel scroll? Or you can just provide screenshots, before and after, for both zoom levels.

Dan, scrolling horizontally using a mouse wheel requires you to hold Cmd/Ctrl. Shift can be used to make Ai scrolling faster.
Do you hold Cmd/Ctrl, or are you trying to hold Shift only, as the text of the report implies?

I am testing scrolling with a wheel, and I don’t notice anything strange on my Windows machine, at any zoom level, including extra large.

Can you please make a short video demonstrating the issue?
Please also provide you full OS specs.

Valeria, can you share the file you had this problem with and explain in details, what were you trying to do exactly? What were you trying to map, on what image?

Can you share the test file you were trying to open with both applications?
GPU does not influence opening a file, so you must be referring to panning and zooming probably?

Artelles, does it behave fine if you switch the grid from dots to lines, in Preferences > Guides & Grid?

Yeah, same deal. For some reason you can’t agree in Preferences, but can when you start using Generative Recolor.

Wow, what a knot, a mess! It’s a double-wrapped compound path, where each group has its own custom opacity.

Thank for the file, but you definitely should just have to untangle this knot to work with this, because I hardly believe this is something you really intended to create!
Start with ungrouping this, twice, and disabling Knockout Group option (again, you’ have to click the option twice as well, because it got inherited from its child paths). Ooph!

I have no idea about your intentions (like do you want it darkened violet, just violet, or maybe even just gray), your final goal, the level of your expertise with knockouts and isolated blending, so it’s hard to give a definite explanation, sorry,
What I can say is that using the Eyedropper with both Appearance marks checked can really make some unexpected results... If you are not into it — better disable these both Appearance options, or at least try to avoid picking from expanded legacy 3D: it does some very specific things to produce shading, and you hardly should use it for anything else.

Generally, GPU tends to calculate these wrong, and Safe for Web usually is doing them right...
It is a known (sadly) limitation, that GPU preview can’t handle thinks like overprints, knockouts, and isolated blending.

    That is weird.
Please tell more about these PDFs.
Do you save the PDF with or without the PDF compatibility? What settings do you use when you save the document?
Are these images linked or placed? What are these images, what format?
Can you share a package of this document, including images, with the team so they can investigate it?
Please send this package or the link for downloading it to sharewithai@adobe.com

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Nah, it’s OK. Being in rage is a common condition we stay in while working with Illustrator, sadly. The fact I don’t see Rich Tooltips (for some unknown reason), but I also don’t get normal 'poor' tooltips, is a real bug, and you did right reporting it. Thanks!

That is exactly what I offered you to do disable one comment ago :)
Glad it got resolved... but you are right, I don’t see Rich Tooltips when I enable them! Which means I don’t see normal tooltips as well.
    This is odd.

Gregory, can you make a list of tools which don't have tooltips?
Does it change if you go to Preferences > General and disable Show Rich Tool Tips option?

Liam, does not happen for me on Mac, I see all the tooltips on hover, with tools, swathes and Pantone swatches as well. I have to ask this – have you tried to to relaunch?

Kassun, sorry, I don’t get if. Can you illustrate it, please?
Now if you select an object without a fill or a stroke, Ai shows you that it has no fill or stroke — because fill/stroke chips under tools are indicators, and not a color bucket. If you want to fill or stroke objects, you should use the Eyedropper tool, using Alt-mode. Or am I getting this completely wrong?

Brad, Damian, does it help to disable GPU mode?
If it does — can you please provide the exact full spec of your machine?
OS build, GPU model, driver version?
Please also provide the actual test file in the .ai format, so the team can try to replicate the issue on their side and see what is wrong?

Lukas, the team would probably need to get the file to investigate... Can you share it? Here, if you can share it publicly, or via the email, sharewithai@adobe.com
Please also include the link to this report in the body of the email (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47070886) and attach some screenshots of how it looks at your side. Full OS details are also required.

Yep, this has not been asked.
    Makes sense.

Also I’d appreciate if Reshape tool received the same treatment, it can highlight points and they get completely obstructed by anchors, if their size are bigger than 1.
