An error occurred while saving the comment There is a larger request about it: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32532658
It does not mention the color values, but feels relevant enough.
For some having these decimal spaced is crucial. For some — irritating. And for some — the current approach is the only way to get both at the same time :)
So I don’t really see a clear way to solve this. A way to customize decimal spaces is nice, but then it will require to have both the panel and the dialog to be mentioned, to maintain the current way it works... anyway, thanks for noticing and reporting.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

The problem got 'solved' by unplugging a Dell monitor connected to MacBook Pro. Changing the resolution also helps.
However, this is not a true solution, but a workaround. If you have this issue too — please vote and comment.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, you can send the file over to sharewithai@adobe.com — the team reads it all the time, but I personally doubt this can help, since you both say it’s not file-specific... correct?
Again, you were not able to verify if disabling the second monitor change anything. The bug is rare enough, and limiting it at your side can be very helpful for the team. Try to work with your MacBook only and unplug temporarily your Apple Studio Display. An error occurred while saving the comment The plot thickens :(
Thanks for keeping it updated...An error occurred while saving the comment I wonder what changes if the tool gets reassigned to, say, Shift+N instead? Will the error still pop up? This would allow to see if the tool is somehow faulty, or rather the hotkey N itself.
But I can see this is not comfortable at all, so it’s just an idea I’d personally test... -

An error occurred while saving the comment Does now happen for me at all on Windows though.
Do you have a chance to confirm that? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Richard, can you please check what settings do you have in Preferences > Clipboard Handling? Does disabling 'Include SVG Code' help?
Also — do you, by any chance, have any clipboard manager installed? They have a tendency to corrupt the buffer data from Ai. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Catarina, does it happen all the time with this specific artwork? Or was it only a one-time event?
Does it really crash or go unresponding? If it crashed — did you submit the crash report? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Alvaro, once you copy an image to the buffer (from the context menu, e.g.), you can paste it in Ai just fine :)
I suspect you mean something else, right? Then, please, write exactly what do you mean, in steps, with full details.
'Get inspired' is a very broad request and can't really be treated effectively. Please be specific. -

An error occurred while saving the comment A script would have to be run anyway. There is no way I know of to let Illustrator run anything automatically on a file open/create event.
So in any variant it requires an action from a user — to click a brush tip in a persistent library or to run a script (and as far as I know, scripts can't load or create brushes at all).
I'm afraid there is no other practical solution to this :/
The request seems valid though, I can imagine the benefits, and for other presets too, like swatches and styles. An error occurred while saving the comment There are several ways to have this in Illustrator today.
1. Saving your brush into a separate local brush library, opening it as a separate panel and then marking the panel as a 'persistent' one. But yes — this wild require to click on a brush tip in this palette for it to appear in Brushes (but you have to pick it anyway, right?)
2. Customizing existing document profiles or creating your own, to include whatever brushes, swatches or other presets. Illustrator stores these in a dedicated folder — try searching 'Print.ai' to locate them. This method will work for new files only, when the first one just adds a permanent extra palette.
3. Templates in .ait format are easier to create and work almost like document profiles. Same limitations apply.
Do these work for you? If not — why exactly?
Thanks for the request anyway, and please reply. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you please record a short video of this behavior?

An error occurred while saving the comment It took them long enough, Yasir... actually, I messaged the developers the moment I replied, a month ago. They replied a mesh will get converted to a raster image anyway. Mapping of a decal with a mesh in it surely can be improved later.
Thanks for the reply! It'd be nice to see the final result you had in Blender. An error occurred while saving the comment Oh, so by 'mesh' you mean not the '3D mesh in the OBJ format', but the mesh created with the Mesh tool! Oh, I am sorry, that was unexpected.
Now, with the image provided, it’s clear enough.Yes, there is no way currently to do anything with a mesh with 3D and Materials directly. You have workaround and rasterize it first and apply as a decal inside Illustrator or create a texture to used in Dimensions.

An error occurred while saving the comment The video does not really help, unfortunately, because the panel you click did not get recorded for whatever reason. Does the color swatch get added to Swatches though? Are you able to recolor the object using a local swatch?

An error occurred while saving the comment Feels very uncomfortable. The only workaround I can advise for now is to disable the Home Screen in favour of the classic File New dialog in Preferences… It feels like it’s somehow related to the UXP engine. Does the Properties panel in Ai works fine for you?
Marthe, this is bizzare :( It feels that like for some reason the type objects loose their coordinates and get reset to 0,0.
Most likely the team would need the file to test — can you please share a copy of it? Here publicly, if you are allowed, or privately, via sharewithai@adobe.com — in this case, please specify the link to this page for tracking purposes (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/46429945).
