9 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.2.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

This issues is no longer reproducible, tested this on 26.1. Closing this issue, please add your comment if you still see this issue.
An error occurred while saving the comment I can’t reproduce this anymore. A sub-group now can be used as a key when in isolation mode, even if I select all the content of the group.

An error occurred while saving the comment Strange. I never get a prohibited symbol when trying using Paintbrush without choosing any specific brush, it just immediately switches to default Touch Calligraphic Brush.
Can you describe in details, how does it work for you? Seems like a non-ordinary situation. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ever since Pathfinder treats groups wrong.
Here's simple steps to prove it:
1. Create several rectangles or other paths near each other, overlapping and not
2. Group them
3. Draw an ellipse that overlaps group, crossing each path within it
4. Select everything
5. Use SubtractWhat do you think people want to do when they do this?
I think that people want an ellipse-shaped hole in every path of the group.What does AI do?
It deletes everything in group except bottom-most path and subtract ellipse only from it.Why would ever want to do this?
Pathfinder should treat groups as single object and all it's operation should work for all group's parts, not a topmost one and deleting underlying.It works right in CorelDraw.
It works right in Xara.

Unfortunately we are not able to reproduce this issue. Could you kindly provide the following information to help us nail this down.Please share the document in which this issue is seen by you.
1) Kindly share a video recording for the issue2)Please share your system details - OS, GPU etc.
3)Please upgrade to the latest Illustrator available on Creative Cloud , and check if issue is still happening at your end.

Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Actually, I am wrong, the issue persists in some way.
Take a look at the file.
The group does not have any pattern applied to any of its parts, therefore 'Transform Objects' option is disabled — because it actually relates to the option next to it, 'Transform Patterns'. Very confusing. And if you want to scale ONLY strokes & effects, but not the geometry, you can’t do that directly. E.g. you have to scale it up physically with 'Scale Strokes & Effects' option on and then scale back with the same option off.
If you apply a pattern to any object, the options are magically get enabled.
Finally, if you want to scale only strokes, but not effects, or vise versa... well, there is another request about that...

If you are experimenting, please record a video of you trying, with Appearance and Layers panels opened at once. -

An error occurred while saving the comment So far one can replicate a grid they need with four lines and some basic appearances applied. There is nothing difficult about it and it allows greater flexibility than any built-it way can now offer.
Here is an example file attached.
Please open both Layers and Appearance panels to study the solution.Still it requires 6 operations to tweak :)

Please, can you tell more about notebooks you are using? I know it’s W10, but anything more than this? Versions of Windows and Illustrator, RAM, disk details (total and free size), stuff like that? Without details engineers can’t even start dealing with it
Jason, what is the magnification your Windows using?
Can you record this behaviour, on video or GIF? I use www.cockos.com/licecap/ for quick recordings and https://getsharex.com for more major ones.
I personally hesitate to use scaling at all, except for the anchors/handles. My sight is probably going to demand it soon, and issues like this hold me off of it.
