The UserVoice support claims it is fixed now. So far no more new duplicates noticed, but please do comment if you still get them. We try to track and merge all of them.

An error occurred while saving the comment Stuart, which font fails, when? Can you please email details to sharewithai@adobe.com, with the source file that leads to the problem. Ask for a staff member to take a look it in a session, because it seems to be like a machine specific issue.

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, it failed completely for me, resulting a single line near the left edge of the image, and nothing more. There were definitely some changes made to the vectorization mechanism, with the best intents, which were quite a failure it seems.
I will try to bring some attention to it.
Thanks for the great usecase, this is going to help a lot. -

Have you tried to reset preferences, as AG advise in their article (https://astutegraphics.com/support/tutorials-and-troubleshooting/resetting-illustrator-preferences)?An error occurred while saving the comment You mean that it starts to work fine when you remove AG plugins from the Plugins folder? How do you know that AG plugins cause this?

An error occurred while saving the comment Ges, to sort something out, the team needs A) file that misbehaves, B) screenshots of how it behaves for you and your colleague. No evidence — nothing to solve. So please provide some.

An error occurred while saving the comment Changing Precision in Pathfinder options helps in most cases, true.
And as the 'Remove Redundant Points options' is sometimes gets reset to the default value. Thanks, Ten, for reminding me of that!An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, I can confirm that.
Even adding extra points for the arc does not help...When it happens, I use plugin tools to workaround this (Path Intersections from AstuteGraphics), but this is not a perfect way.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mika, do you send you crash reports to Adobe?
If you don’t, than the team knows nothing about your crashes at all.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, this option is designed for those who wants later 'open' PDF and edit them in Illustrator. Quite a lot of users find this very handy and surely will suffer if this 'mostly useless' workflow gets cut.
Yes, for both 'AI in PDF' or 'PDF in AI' the time taken is larger, depending on the number of artboards used.
Yes, CPU is barely used and this is not a CPU problem at all, but the 30-years old legacy format and a stream of data that has to be written. Some changes get made, especially for cloud docs, but legacy is legacy, and compatibility is something that has to stay.
So uncheck the compatibility option if you don't plan to re-edit your PDFs, and hope for the better with us.
Voted for the 'optimize' part :)
Chad, it seems like the problem is solved. Thanks for making a push!
