1. True customizable drawing 'angles' for all tools when using SHIFT key (pen, pencil, brush) — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48073562
2. Smart Guides and the Rotate Tool: Incremental Rotation Angles — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/39621259An error occurred while saving the comment Perhaps we just need a single field there, where we can just type something like '15, 30, 60, 72.5, 40 ...'
Ai should just parse the string and show the preview.
Or it should allow to add more fields than needed — but then it’d have to be limited to a number of fields, because I suspect this dialog is static as a tombstone. After all, we are used to this method, when we are forced to se numbers of exported artboards in Export As (without any help form Ai to assist with the choice, something that Export for Screens / Assets tried to mitigate).

An error occurred while saving the comment These strokes have miter joins.
To avoid these protruding sharp ends, you have to construct the art differently.
Instead of making closed shapes (image 1), open paths better be used (image 2).
No handy, sure, but Ai don’t have vector networks, to calculate which connection is more important than the other, automatically (and the request for vector networks specifically exists: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/43085403)Another method is just to use round joins.
An error occurred while saving the comment Nicolas, you just need to connect your segments in different way or change miter options for stroke.

An error occurred while saving the comment As a an option, and with a graceful degradation.
Some operations would be quite extensive to calculate, so Ai should somehow differ those which are not yet calculated from those are completed, to not confuse a user with 'hmm, this looks like nothing happens'. And surely it must not lag, and stop us from just using Ai: no progress bars, no dialogs, no slowing down... take all the power that is required to compute these in real time (and cache when possible), but never slow down UX.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mattias, sorry for the long reply, but I am curious about what do you mean exactly.
Can you make a simple mockup of the expected behavior, along with the explanation how do you try to achieve it and why it fails?Pathfinder has some very obvious problems, but I can’t tell yet if your request touches any of them.
Please reply. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Emilija, it seems like this bug is no longer happening. Did you see anything like it recently?

An error occurred while saving the comment Jakub, I wonder if any other places are immune to these... Swatches’ names? Graphic Styles? anything?
Plus — do you mean editing these directly in the panel, right? What about Name field in Artboard Options dialog? -

An error occurred while saving the comment It feels like Snap to Grid is enabled... It overrides keyboard increment, moving a selection to align to gridlines.
I know it’s too late for the comment, but I wonder if this was the case.
Kelsey, can you check it, please? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Making duplicates is hard because of this. If you want to make a copy of existing artwork with dimensions, you have to remember to lock the layer (which gets unlocked anytime you create a new dimension), and select only the artwork, or these live dimensions just die...
...but the dimensions don’t get copied over if you copy something with move dialog! There is no such an option in the dialog! And Opt/Alt moving won’t create these! And even duplicating an artboard!!!
Infuriating.
An error occurred while saving the comment Andreas, the dimension objects get expanded when moved separately (expected, since they no longer are attached to an object) or with the object (unexpected, since the relation is not disturbed).
Illustrator displays a 'shy' message about it, in a gray bar at the top of canvas, but it’s easy to miss it.There is a separate bug report about this, and I am merging yours into it.
The only way of keeping the dimensions alive is to move objects only, so that the dimensions accommodate.
An error occurred while saving the comment Did you move the dimension on its own or together with the object?

As stated in an update at forums, there is a solution.
A backend fix has been applied. Please restart Illustrator to see if the issue is resolved.
If it persists, follow these steps:
1. Close all Adobe apps, including the Creative Cloud desktop app.
2. Navigate to the following folder location:
Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Adobe/CCX Welcome folder
Windows: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CCX Welcome\
3. Locate the folder named CCX Welcome and rename it to CCX Welcome.old.
4. Relaunch the Creative Cloud desktop app, then reopen Illustrator.
Leave a comment if this resolves the issue or not.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jakub, do you see anything at all at the home screen, or it’s just blank? Gray?

An error occurred while saving the comment Aldo, try to open Preferences and disable 'Show Home Screen When No Documents Are Open' option.
Does it help to show File > New dialog?
If not — does disabling 'Use legacy "File New" interface' change anything? -
