We have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in the update.
Warm Regards,
Ashutosh Chaturvedi | Sr. Quality Engineering Manager – Illustrator
Adobe. Make It an Experience.PS: We are only referring to the issue that got introduced in CC 2018. As I can see there were few workflows that were existing even in older releases. Please log a separate request for it so that we all can track it better

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

An error occurred while saving the comment Paste without formatting is coming, but what else?
An error occurred while saving the comment Never say 'etc' here. Always expand your suggestion as rich as you can :)
Nobody know what do you mean except you until you use text to express it.Paste without formatting is done and coming it the scheduled release.
What else do you need and why (really, it needs to be explained) -

Can you please share a simple test file that demonstrates it, and a video of this behavior?
An error occurred while saving the comment Carl, they won’t if you go to Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display and untick Select & Unlock objects on canvas.
And many users actually asked for this feature, you are just not one of them. -

An error occurred while saving the comment It is not for me (but I am on Windows).
Revert is (was) bound to F12 for me, but I removed in in Keyboard Shortcuts long ago. Can you do the same? Ctrl+Alt+Z was empty for me form the beginning (taken now by a different command). -

As per the comment, it is still used in Animate.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jan, it is still used in Animate. So when you import an artwork from Illustrator to Animate, it is imported correctly. If you are not using Animate (yes, it is former Flash), then there is no difference.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, I get it.
I'll try to bring some attention to this issue. An error occurred while saving the comment As a workaround — work in chunks.
Try to use VectorFirstAid from AstuteGraphics (it gives somewhat better results but also staggers with these many lines on my machine).

An error occurred while saving the comment Generally PDFs can’t be 'opened' in Illustrator, they can be only imported. But if it is a file that was 'saved' in Illustrator as PDF, than you have two separate 'layers' inside of your document: native Ai’s and actual PDF. Therefore you can have a case like this. But you know it for sure :)
I get an error when I try to open 'Our File.ai' (because I don’t have a plugin you use).
Why the warning did not triggered for you, I have no idea, it usually does, indeed. But the AI and PDF (viewed or imported) look different. The box stamp layouts are not the same, text elements are missing, dimensions differ...

An error occurred while saving the comment Resolution is not how the scaling coefficient is applied to a 'large canvas' document.
It is done internally and a user has no control over it.
Whenever you create a file that is larger than a fixed size in points (all document in Ai are basically point-based internally), it is switched to 'large canvas' mode, that is basically a scaled tentimes:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/larger-canvas-in-illustrator-24-2-100x-more-space/td-p/11243556The fact that it is a 'large canvas' is not displayed anywhere on a surface, and your problem is definitely a bug.

Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
Thanks & Regards,
Raghuveer SinghAn error occurred while saving the comment Michelle, this is a weird file. It has a black background underneath, and cut holes in blue rectangles. Maybe your process requires it though.
But the problem is just a GPU rendering one, I see it. If you disable GPU (or just set Overprint Preview mode, which you definitely should when preparing anything for printing), it will vanish.
Still needs fixing!
An error occurred while saving the comment Danielle, it looks like GPU Preview issue. Try to change the mode: View > Preview on CPU and see if there's any difference. In any way, please send the file that has this text to the sharewithai@adobe.com fort hte team to investigate.
An error occurred while saving the comment Is GPU preview on? It sometimes leaves artifacts like this one you show. Try to switch to CPU and check again.

An error occurred while saving the comment Can’t confirm, works fine for me.
There must be something more to this... The bug is familiar to me, but it never is about Repeat objects (because I do not use them). It happens for newly created rectangles too an both for existing ones. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Wow. That is an unusual application of common commands.
Out of curiosity I’d like to know why do you need to view these many documents at once in a grid, using Illustrator? I suspect there are many other ways to achieve this, rather than adding a command 'Fit All on Artboard for every Open Document' that might confuse a lot of users. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Rinne, you definitely should record a GIF or a video that demonstrates this behaviour, for others to test it.

An error occurred while saving the comment What can be done, I suppose, is converting these former gradient fills to freeform gradient ones (triangular mesh inside), but this would require some fat math and doubtedly a thing you want.
A mode where a gradient would be kept live but thus displayed wrong on a rotated surface (because it is, even if you use 'Off-Axis Front' that looks quite similar, because it feels like rotating along one axis only)... well, maybe. But the 3D in Ai is terribly dated and will not be fixed until is completely rewritten, which I suppose is in the development, according to some public hints from the management. Let’s hope that it will not worse.
Voted. An error occurred while saving the comment Well, it the different story. This is not a bug. It is a completely normal behaviour.
Gradient in 3D gets distorted along two axes and thus can’t stay as a linear live gradient after you expand it.
That is why it warns you about it. So you do everything correct to workaround it.An error occurred while saving the comment What type of gradient are you talking about exactly?
This is not how it works for me.
Can you please provide steps and a test file or a video that demonstrates it?
Check what is inside of your clip group (it is, right?) Also check guides, they can be hidden inside of the group and prevent it from transforming.
