   Please try to disable Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display > Zoom to Selection option and see if it solves the problem.

   I had the same problem today and just figured out why it happens.

   I have rotated my artboard using the hand tool (Shift + H).
   When you do so, cursor moves the items in the wrong direction (technically correct, since now the view is "rotated") and the Zoom to Mouse pointer also gets screwed because of the same issue.

   The Zoom function at least should be fixed as one cannot work like that.

   Is Adobe listening?

   When changing the alignment of an already present point text, the text moves to the left or right depending on the chosen alignment. This is frustrating and does not serve any purpose.

   It should be consistent with how Adbe XD handles this scenario which is that it leaves the text exactly where it is.

   Again, I am talking about Point text and not Paragraph text.
