1. Image export both type and art optimized

   For exporting web banners, my routine is to export one image art optimized and one image type optimized, aftwerwards stack them in Photoshop and unmask the type optimized version where text is visible.

   I would appreciate an option of "art and type" that automatically interprets the type as type and the images as images so that I can skip the whole process after the export.

2. 右クリック　メニュー

   オブジェクトを選択してすぐに、右クリックでメニューを出したくてもでません。数秒空けるか、カーソルを少しズラすか、control+左クリックであればメニューが出るのですが、CS時代の操作方法に慣れているので、オブジェクトを選択して即座に右クリックができる方が断然使いやすいので、改善してください。

3. Disable default shortcuts

   Illustrator has an insane number of available shortcuts all enabled by default. As a casual user of Illustrator, I end up accidentally pressing a random configuration of keys simultaneously, only to then have to spend half an hour figuring out what happened and which keys I need to press to undo my mistake.

   Some of the default shortcuts are simply too advanced for casual users and should be disabled by when starting on a new account.

4. Feedback on Invite to edit Feature (in Beta now)

   In our next feature update as part of cloud documents in Illustrator, we bring to you the “Invite to Edit” feature that is intended to help you share and collaborate with others.

   What is it?
   Collaborate with others with the Invite to Edit feature. Share your cloud document with other collaborators so that they can also edit your document. Find documents that others have shared with you in a new section called “Shared with you” which you can find on the Home Screen. You can also easily take a non-cloud document and convert it into a cloud document in order to take advantage of this collaboration feature.

   Feature details:
   1. To invite another user(s):
   Create or open a cloud document
   Click on the Invite to Edit icon in the app header.
   Type in the email address of the person you want to invite to edit your document. To test this out, please only invite others that currently in the prerelease program; otherwise, they will be unable to access this prerelease experience.
   Optionally, you can also add a message
   Send — an email will now be sent to the recipient(s).

   1. To access documents that are shared with you, go to the ‘Shared with you’ tab from the Illustrator homescreen where you can find all documents that have already been shared with you.

   2. Collaborators cannot edit the document at the same time. Only one user may edit the document at a time or a conflict may occur. If a conflict occurs, a copy of the Cloud document will be generated.

5. Transformations with constrained randomizations

   Randomize transformations but constrain them to multiples of set increments, eg 45°, 20° or 2mm, 10mm. Randomize colors. Apply transform to a percentage of objects (or a random percentage). Apply random to each transform individually, eg, rotate, move, not globally as now.

6. Alternative 'Object width/height' and gap options under Effect > Transform > Move

   A couple of checkboxes in that panel for the dynamic size of the object could be handy. A gap value would also be great for the static gaps around multiplied objects. I've experienced 2 similar cases where that option could save me time:

   1) Create an object and use 'Effect > Transform' panel to create copies, giving a horizontal or vertical move value. Then edit the object and change its bounding box. They either overlap or the gap between them widens.

   2) Create the left half of a graphic you want dynamically be mirrored onto the right side. To use the same panel first you need to copy the width of the graphic. Then in the panel, you input 1 as the copy amount, select 'Reflect X' option below and finally paste the copied width into the 'Move > Horizontal' area. So far so good. Now alter the graphic in a way the width of its bounding box changes. The duplicated mirror graphic will no longer stick to the left, editable part of the graphic. Again, they will either overlap or there'll be a gap between the two. Each time the bounding box changes you have to copy the width and edit transform values accordingly. Unnecessary time and effort.

   My suggestion: If there was a checkbox next to both move directions indicating 'object width/height' as alternatives, it would be much easier and time saving to accomplish such actions. Alternatively, for those who want to duplicate a graphic n times, a user input with the gap amount could make it easier to retain the gap between copies. I've edited the screenshot of the panel with my suggestion applied.

7. Allow tools to be constrained when using Perspective Grid with a key held

   I would like perspective grid snapping for either the brush and/or the pen tool.
   Although shapes can snap to perspective this is difficult to line up intersections and feels unintuitive to those of us used to lining up a ruler on pencil and paper.
   In my mind the snapping would work similar to holding down Shift to snap to 45 degree direction, but instead when you hold down which ever buttons enable the perspective snapping, the drawing tool moves in the perspective direction closest to how you move the cursor.

8. pencil tool - enable keep selection shortcut

   A shortcut to enable or disable "keep selection" for the pencil tool. Now it is quite laborious to open each time the tool option window and check "keep selection".

9. Stretching objects

   A stretch function allows to e.g. move a door in a wall. The door is moved, one wall is enlarged and the other wall is shortened. This is done by drawing a box through the walls and around the door, and then by moving the selection. Object that are completely within the selection are moved. Object that cross the selection box are stretched.

   Select points needed with the Direct Selection tool and move them altogether.

10. Option + Delete to erase whole words

    To speed up deleting words, I wish Illustrator has an option to delete whole words using the both delete keys (num keyboard).

11. Snap to middles of grid unit

    It would be useful to have the option when grid snapping is enabled, a hint or indicator that allows the user to snap the anchor handles to the middle point of the defined grid unit. A simple override to avoid having to enable/disable the snapping function.

12. More appropriate way of having straight lines and adding arrow head easily

    I am an academic and use straight lines and block diagrams for illustrating my methodologies. Although having a rectangle or square is super easy, it is not straightforward to create straight line or arrowhead. Please make sure these features can be used appropriately. Thanks

13. gestures

    Make it so Windows version of Adobe programs are capable of all gestures such as zoom and pan/scroll. This works perfectly fine on my MacBook, but on Windows I'm only able to chose if I can scroll/pan or zoom, but cannot zoom and pan. This makes working with the program extremely difficult and infuriating when it's such a simple feature that works in every other basic program.

    I don't understand how this is still an issue when this has been posted on every Adobe forum for several years now. Especially now that you can't just purchase and own the programs, paying a monthly subscription, these programs should be capable of the basic gestures that every other simple program has been able to do for years and that Adobe is capable of doing on Mac. It's ridiculous that this is even still an issue.

14. The Ability to paste an object precisely where we want it to be in the layers panel

    This feature, in particular, will be very time-saving cos I often find myself dragging the pasted object a good distance in the layers panel so that it is where I exactly want it to be.

    Currently pasting works such that when we try to paste an object, it gets pasted at the very top of the highlighted/targetted layer. We know that Illustrator already differentiates between "targetting" and "selecting" an object or layer, so that's great. But I'd like to make use of that so as to be more productive and save a lot of time for myself.

    I've attached an image if I wasn't clear enough by what's a "selected" layer and what's a "targetted" one. In the pic, the left one is a targetted layer with nothing selected. The right one is a layer that's all selected (It's also targetted cos you can't avoid it. Since we can't select anything from any layer without targetting the layer)

    Request: When we try to paste an object, I'd like the ability to highlight/target an Object within a layer, so that the new object gets pasted below the targetted object, instead of at the extreme top of the layer which gets kinda annoying at times.

    Similar flexibility should be given to groups. If we're trying to paste an object after targeting a clip group (or any type of a group), it should automatically get pasted within the targetted group.

15. Commemoratively change 'Edit in Isolation Mode' to read 'Edit in SELF-isolation Mode'

    For a little (temporary) comic relief during the pandemic and also as a small commemoration to the difficulty and pressure many of us are feeling from living and working in lockdown.

    Perhaps also a nice way to remind each other that, albeit socially isolated, we're also connected through this crisis too.

    Also, does anyone else emember when illustrator included Easter Eggs like; show number of clicks?

16. サブレイヤー

    お世話になります。
    いつも仕事で使わせていただいております。

    先日、複雑なデータをグループ化した際、あったものが消えてなくなるという不具合が発生し、危うくミスになるところでした。
    調べたところ、サブレイヤーが使われており、グループ化することによりオブジェクトが最背面へ移動し、なくなってしまったということが分かりました。現在は、どうしてもグループ化しなくてはならないときは「レイヤーを統合」してグループ化するなどして対策していますが、ネット上でも不具合として話題になっているようなので、グループ化する、マスクをかける、などによりあったものがなくなってしまうようなとき（重なり順が変わる時）にはアラートでお知らせいただければこのような事故が減るしありがたいな、と思いました。

17. Update Blob Brush Tool Please with Refined Corners

    Can you please add the feature of blog brush for clean drawings? Like no edges something like a paintbrush tool but an enhanced version. Please check the attachment for what I mean.. Just simply all lines joined together so it not create a mess. Thank You

18. Add Canadian English to languages

    Canadian English is missing from the language list. It has grammar and spelling rules of its own, and it is strange that despite its inclusion in InDesign it is missing in Illustrator.

19. Always show text panel option by default (always on)

    The fact that we now have to click a button to show optional items for the text panel in Illustrator hinders my workflow. It would be nice if we could make the options visible be default (always have them shown). For anyone creating logos or working with type, this is an absolute must!

20. Allow to pick tool from Customize Toolbar for temp use

    Customizing the tool bar has been a great addition. But there are some occasions where I need a tool (ex: spiral or grid). This is rarely used, maybe once a month or less, but when I do need it, I don't want to have to add it to my tool bar. Can we just choose the ellipses for customize tool bar, and when we click on a tool, it is activated. I don't need to see it added to the toolstrip, I just need it for that moment.

    Think of the three dots as a user experience hierarchy versus a way to customize the tool strip. "More tools here" and then anything that is secondary or tertiary is available without customizing anything.
