  1. A hotkey to jump to the first typeable box in properties panel would be great

    When something is selected, being able to type cmd-6 in Indesign gets you straight to the first typeable box, and from there it's easy to tab or shift-tab around quickly.

    I can't find anything similar in Illustrator, though the properties panel in here is supposed to make life easier.

    I work with a lot of hotkeys doing quite repetitive tasks, so being able to utilise this panel in a speedy manner would really speed up my workflow.

  2. The ability to open Fireworks PNGs as editable PNGs with layers retained in Illustrator

    We have thousands of Fireworks PNGs that are now useless having updated to Mac Catalina OS and finding fireworks no longer works. We really need to be able to open them in Illustrator as editable pngs with the layers still retained. I'm aware this is possible in Photoshop, but that's not suitable for our vector-based graphics. Thank you.

  3. Scrubby Zoom can still be used in pixel previews

    I enabled the "Pixel Preview" function in the "View" menu, and "Scrubby Zoom" is not available under this function. Please stay in pixel preview view and still use Scrubby Zoom

  4. Option for anti-aliasing in Outline View

    Please allow us to turn on anti-aliasing in Outline View. It’s a very useful view for path editing, but it can be difficult to assess the fidelity with all the stepping due to anti-aliasing being off. Making it a toggle would be ideal. Many thanks!

  5. Stop making new features the default.

    It's really annoying that you introduce a new feature that works in a different way to how it's been for years and then you make it the default. It seems like a bug or something's not working. Then we go online and google it and find out it's a new thing and to add insult to injury it's the default and we can't default it back to the old way, that we use a hundred times a day.
    The dynamic symbol is a great example of that. People have been complaining about it since 2017 and still the default.

    Save basic layer structure with the option to link a layout
    Example: Layer name 'Varnish', fill color 'gray', line thickness '1pt'

  7. The new Adobe 2020 is very unstable !!!

    The new Adobe 2020 is very unstable it can not handle graphics at all. Every time I save it hangs or crashes. Every time I even move an object on my page I get a wheel of death . this upgrade has been most frustrating. to the point where I have added a downgraded 2019 version

  8. Exchange entire Illustrator Team!

    Two decades of leading customers around with this (still) child [Illustrator] is enough. Just lay down your work dear current Illustrator Team! You won't get anywhere, and let new people start over. It is 20 Years now since I've started with Illustrator (post Macromedia (RIP) Freehand) and it still sucks so hard. Unbelievable that Shantanu Narayen (Adobe CEO) does not seeing this. Wasted companies money and nerves of millions of users. Get a life.

  9. Enhanced Shape Builder Tool

    Something that would be enormously helpful and prevent a lot of unnecessary backtracking would be expanding on the capabilities of the shape builder tool in three key ways, though if any are possible, the first one would be most helpful.

    1. Allow the use of the shapebuilder tool on objects contained in a mask.

    2. Allow the shape builder tool to operate on an object outside of a mask using objects inside a mask

    3. Allow for selective use of shape builder tool on specific objects in a group without ungrouping.

  10. Missing properties for properties panel

    1. When i select a text in a mask with direct selection tool or text tool the character and paragraph properties are not visible in the properties panel.
    2. Although align to artboard button is selected align panel is not visible in the properties panel if only one item is selected.
    3. Select same or object menu must be located in the properties panel like on the control bar.

  11. Can you focus updates to really work? Please do proper testing. I'm tired of contacting customer service very month

    I contact customer service at least once a month, and before, when i got the program without online creative suite i never had to contact anyone, it worked amazingly, and now.. literally every update is a nightmare.. please stop doing updates for the sake of doing updates, take the monthly money but make something that we can rely on. not a program that makes my life harder... now i can't open files i used 20 days ago because a plug in, Ai 2019 and 2020 not compatible? Please// this is ridic

  12. Illustrator not responding can not save files, crashes on two different computers

    Since illustrator 2020 was updated I can not work on it. It's slow, crashes and can not save files. I urgently need this fixed. I range adobe who said it was due to my lap top being only 8 gb of ram and they re set my settings, it became worse. I then tried it on a computer with 16gb of ram and same issue. No one can tell me the problem. I need to complete an important project.

  13. Poseable figures to aid drawing

    Have a set of virtual human figures - either stick people or in the style of wooden artists’ figures - that can be manipulated into whatever pose you need, then turned into a template layer so you can draw your character over them. Thus helping with poses and dimensions. This would be extremely useful for users who are not trained illustrators.

  15. Illustrator icon

    I don't know if it annoys anyone else but it drives me crazy the Photoshop icon has rounded corners and the Illustrator icon has sharp corners. Why aren't all the Adobe icons either rounded or sharp, just be consistent!

  16. Variables issues with images paths

    Hi all,
    am currently using "Data merge using the Variables panel". The following article does not have enough information for me: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html
    The issue lies with the photos
    My photos are not stored locally but in our company's shared google drive folder
    So instead of having a link: C:\Photos\BillTucker.jpg this is how an image link would look like: /Volumes/GoogleDrive/My Drive/Automation/scljwhj2uqvn8ajetqhn.png
    From the article, I've understood that it can not contain blank spaces. I wanted to know if there was a way around and if other users have had this issue.

  17. not grayscale color as default, or set other color setting as a default

    I know that you can change the color mode in color window. But it's really pain in the *ss to do it every time I create a new document.
    and the idea setting grayscale as a default for every document with every color mode is ridicolous . (why Illustrator not changing it since it's way too inconvinient)
    Idk the history of Illustrator etc. and I won't be bothered by it, I just want to have an option to change the default color setting. that's it.

  19. "Align to" [artboard or selection] button in the alignment dialogue

    I think it's a very simple thing to do for you guys: I'd really like to see the "align to" button (artboard or selection) added to the align-window.
    Actually surprised to see it's not..
