Make Artboard for Selection
Currently, there's no way to add an artboard using the actions pallet. If there were, I would create the action that said:
Copy Selected Element(s)
Create a new blank artboard
Activate new artboard
Paste in Place.Essentially, it would create an identical artboard for whatever you had selected. This would be nice to have built in to the artboard options... if you have something selected when you add a new artboard, automatically copy it in its same location on the new artboard.

Allow to disable "Use Compression" option by default
The new change making 'Use Compression' a default setting under the Illustrator Options when saving new files has negatively impacted our team's productivity. We require full autonomy over our file settings and find the imposition of new defaults to be unnecessary. We strongly suggest reverting this to an opt-in feature so that professional users can maintain their established saving protocols without manual interference because compression sucks. Thank you!

Save and load a set of layers like paragraph or character styles
When working within a specific company's branding guidelines, EVERY document I create has the same set of layers: background, background key art, copy, brand, foreground key art, etc. It would be so great and really streamline doc creation and continuity to be able to load a "set" of layers in a new or open doc.
I've tried using the template feature, but each doc could be a different set of specs and it would be most beneficial to be able to just bulk-create layers or load a "Company X Brand Guide" layer set.

In Share for Review - Bleed view control
Share for review seems to be very glitchy lately, however it would be great to be able to toggle the bleed to be visible or not when sending drafts to clients.
Right now it's defaulting to show including the bleed but doesn't denote that to the viewer so you can imagine how messy that gets. Use case: when creating banners, signage, wayfinding, etc - one typically would use Illustrator as it handles large format print better. So you can see how the share previewing with the bleed can get a bit confusing for non-designers who don't understand that edge will be trimmed.

An ability to enlarge panels on mouse hover to have larger controls (dynamic and local UI scaling)
Using a 4k screen I find the palette to be small, and I struggle seeing them detailed especially when it comes to gradients.
It would be handy to have a feature to enlarge the palette when the mouse hovers on it. Potentially deciding on to which palette activate this. Like for me I'd like to activate it only on the gradient, swatches and colors palette. Maybe a temporary shortcut to press while hovering onto the palette. Thanks. Also having a better color picker on the color palette would be nice.
Thanks.

Transparency Panel - Mask Mode Overlay
When you enter the "Mask mode" in the Transparency Panel when adding a mask to an object. The background should switch colors or an outline around the artboard, similar to "isolated mode". To indicate that you're in that mode, right now you can click around thinking you're in that mode and not realize you have to switch back to normal mode by unclicking the mask.

Please fix the tutorial pop up, it is too sensitive and it doesn't disappear by itself. More I work on it, the more annoying it becomes.
Just let it go quikly and by itselfs

Retention of fillable form areas when editing and saving an existing PDF.
Illustrator used to retain fillable form areas when editing and saving an existing PDF. Pretty please. We need that feature back. It's wasting a lot of production time recreating the form fields. When you open and edit graphics in an existing PDF in Illustrator, the instant you save the file (not "Save As...", just "Save") all of the fillable fields are erased.
Since it's all Adobe, why can't they work seamlessly like they used to?2 votes -
Allow to bypass the Adobe print dialog, going straight to OS driver
When it comes to laser cutting -- make it possible to not use the Adobe print dialog box and go straight to OS driver as for each job. I have to go to machine driver and set up and do not use the print dialog box at all.

Ability to draw circles starting from a Tangent Point (Point on Circumference)
[The Problem]
Currently, the Ellipse Tool only allows drawing from the "Center" or the "Bounding Box Corner." This makes it extremely difficult to create a circle that precisely touches other objects (tangency).
For example, when I want to create a new circle that is tangent to "Circle A" and "Circle C," I have to draw a circle first and then manually move and rescale it repeatedly to find the tangent points. This is inefficient and lacks mathematical precision.[Proposed Solution]
I request a new drawing mode or tool that allows users to:
1. Click a point on an existing path (to set as a fixed tangent point).
2. Drag to expand the circle while that initial point remains fixed on the circumference.
3. Snap the expanding circle to another object’s tangent point.[Why it is important]
This feature is essential for professional logo design, iconography, and geometric construction (like the Golden Ratio). It would significantly improve workflow speed and ensure 100% geometric accuracy without relying on third-party plugins.

Move artboards in illustrator by clicking on the artboard title and dragging
This was standard behavior in the past and was a very intuitive option to me.

Save to cloud dialog: files in folder not visible
The new update(s) does not bring back the feature to view files in the folders and in grid view when saving to cloud. This has been causing a lot of problems and inconvenience. Reported few times and have been told that these will be brought back in the next update, but it never did. Frustrating and annoyed.

Advanced Image Trace Results for Cartoon/Comic Book Outline
Hello, I'd like to see enhancements done to the Image Trace feature. I am a cartoonist and draw comics. Whenever I scan my drawings in I see that the digital copies show the outlines rather jagged. I began looking for a way to have the outline show smooth. That's when I found out about Image Trace in Illustrator.
Now the Image Trace feature does smooth out the lines, however, it will merge the lines in a way I'd rather not have. I've tried many different options and have not landed on the exact look I want, unless I first do the Image Trace and then go in manually and edit the line with erasing and redrawing. I've attached an example picture. The third image is more exact to how I'd like the Image Trace to show the outline.
I am in the stages of finishing a large comic book that is about a hundred pages and it is taking a very long time to go through every single page with Image Trace and then manually smoothing the outline. If there's a way that enhancements could be done to the Image Trace feature, perhaps specifically for comic outlines, it would be valuable for me because it would significantly save a lot of time, speed up my workflow, and create a better looking end product. Thank you!
PS: I primarily use Photoshop for my drawings but in order to smooth out the outline I began using Illustrator. So even if there is a tool/feature within Photoshop that could do the same thing of smoothing the outline that would also be valuable.

Update / Preview Grid on canvas when the grid and Constrain Angle values change in Preferences, before hitting OK
I use grids all the time and I have to change the grid settings to fit my tasks regularly.
When I do this, the rendered grid updates only when I hit OK, and it makes choosing the step less convenient — if I’m not happy with the resulting grid cell size, I’d have to open Prefs one more, navigate to the section, try again.
Same goes with Constrain Angle — changing it won’t make the grid rotate until OK is hit.
Sure, it’d need a Preview option, to fit the way it works in other dialogs, enabled by default.2 votes -

Change layer thumbnail background so white objects are visible in the Layers panel
Currently, I'm working with white text for a logo design and because the layer thumbnail background is white and the text is also white, it is impossible to see what objects are in my Layers. Illustrator for ipad already has this feature, so why isn't it in desktop?

Proportional Push & Rotate Tool
I’m relatively new to Illustrator, not sure if such a feature already exists, but I’d like to suggest a tool that allows selected objects to be proportionally pushed away from the group’s center point or a custom pivot point — without scaling them — and optionally rotate them around that same point. For rotation, it would be great to have options whether the objects keep their own rotation (independent) or rotate as children following the group’s rotation. Additionally, it would be helpful to allow setting horizontal and vertical movement ratios (e.g., move 1 unit horizontally while moving 0.35 units vertically) for the push-away action.
