Allow appearances to apply to linked files
Linked documents (i.e. other .ai files) can't have their appearance modified.
I.e. if I have a vector design.ai, I can place it in another .ai document however no stroke or fill options actually apply to the file.
This makes scenarios where you have to invert the vector design.ai difficult without custom SVG filters to help try influence the linked document.

Please support Hebrew language
Hi
I’m using illustrator for first time and learning it in university and I noticed that it not supports on Hebrew language
That’s make problems when I’m trying to write in Hebrew
And because of it I need to buy computer … that’s why I think they u need to do Hebrew language support on the illustrator fonts and so…If it not support the language going backwards and not as she should .

Space or area to collect ideas, a scrapsheet, like Playbook
Sometimes when creating, brainstorming is a step! So an area for us to put our ideas while working on an idea would be cool. Maybe a tab to place items we could add, like a "shelf" with items we'd like to use on multiple places. I know you have the library right now, but there's a site called Playbook where projects can be organized, it would be great if it was something like this for Adobe rather than a third party.

Remove all references to websafe palette
The websafe colour palette has not been relevant for over two decades. You might as well support Macintosh bitmap fots if you’re going to include support for the websafe palette.

Drag-and-drop Glyphs to Symbols
Sort of niche QoL, but it could be great to be able to drag glyphs from the Glyphs panel onto the Symbols panel to create a new symbol automatically. The resulting symbol size could be a ratio based on a preset height or width, set as a preference or panel option, or entered at creation via. a modal.

I edit assignments, quizzes and exams, with musical scores in Illustrator, and add YouTube link symbols to them. For these links to work I have to open the PDF in Acrobat and insert the web links there. But if I later want to edit some text, object, or image and I open it in Illustrator, I lose all the links configuration.

However, the current limitations in Adobe Illustrator prevent users from easily customizing instances of symbols beyond their placement. Add "tight" leading to preset leading
From the beginning, Illustrator has offered an "Auto" setting for leading, plus specific setting numbers (12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, et al). What I wish that you would add is a setting for "tight leading," in other words, leading set to the same point size as the font itself. Like 10/10, 12/12, 72/72. Seems like an easy, one line of code kind of addition. And I, for one, would be eternally grateful for it.

"Dashed Line" does not work. At all. Even default brush does not respond. V28.3 on both OSX and Windows.

复合路径建立的剪切蒙版，如何把蒙版分割的对象分离成单独的对象。如图中，我用矩形复合路径通过剪切蒙版把图片分割，但是现在是一个整体，我想让蒙版中分割的每个对象成为一个单独的对象，请问有什么好办法吗？比如类似于“扩展”的功能。

Introduce a way to control the cross-section for 3D Inflate profile
For "Inflate", it would be cool to have a curves/profile editor to modify the cross-section more than the Volume slider currently allows. Currently it seems that turning down the volume essentially pancakes the object - and sometimes that's a good look! But it would be nice to have the option to retain an overall "bubble" feel like the object has at 100% Volume.

Copy and Pase Layer with sorted and named sublayer looses all the structure after pasting.
Keep the layer structure that is copied and paste it in the same structure after pasting into new location.

Option + Arrow to duplicate and move text
Please bring back the ability to duplicate and move text with the Option + Arrow keys. It was an incredibly handy feature. I used it all the time and it has been sorely missed.

An optional feature in which the Similar Selection tool only works in a pre defined space on the canvas
For example:
I have two copy's of the same layout in one canvas, but i only want to change similar objects in one of them.
I would love to be able to draw a box around one of the 2 layouts and only in the select area the similar selction tool should select the similar objects.That would be an amazing feature! for me atleast :D
