SVG scalable vector export option for use in Microsoft applications
Please include an .svg format without code or mobile device use that will hold clipping, gradients, etc. to use as scalable vector artwork to be placed in MSO applications. This was not an issue in previous versions of Illustrator.
I provide scalable vector artwork from my projects for my clients who work in Microsoft applications by placing "Picture from File" in a PowerPoint Catalog.
When exporting, I get an error message: "Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny" when opening them back up and the artwork is distorted.

AI Reference Guide - Downloadable
I would love to see a return of a downloadable reference guide / user manual. I want the ability to read through it offline, occasionally print the page that's pertinent to my task, and have a book that is physically on my desk (not the desktop).. FYI, on this page (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/faq.html), under Learning Illustrator > Where can I find the manual, the answer is: "You can find web and PDF versions of the Illustrator manual on the Illustrator Help page." I'm still looking for that PDF...

Ability to warp more precisely
I work in the label industry and we have to warp artwork for tapered containers.
We find that we need to be between whole numbers of a percent.
Is it possible to have the ability to warp 1.3% without it just rounding down or up to the nearest whole number?

Highlight last used field
Best feature in Indesign is to jump back to last used field using a keyboard shortcut. I think this should definitely be part of every application, including Adobe Illustrator. That is, similar to Indesign:
Activate last-used field in panel --- Default: Opt+Cmd+`
This should be a great addition to all the Adobe Applications.

Square ZIG-ZAG effect
I'm surprised that a zig-zag feature is missing a "square" effect (see photo). It seems pretty basic thing since you have other types of vawy lines. Shouldn't be that much harder to implement compared to other effects.

.obj asset file multiple group/layer hierarchy
It’s very cool that you can export 3d models as obj - when I try to import the obj file Into blender, the group objects become scattered and lose there positioning that I have created - please make it so that when I import the file all of the objects are together / grouped as I intended and not scattered - great job on the new update 👍🏻

For the love please make it an option to group layers like in Photoshop. Sublayers just get super confusing.
Just like you do in Photoshop, please make it an option to make a folder to group your layers. You can keep sublayers, it's just my layers are constantly getting mixed up because of sublayers and it's just not easy to use.

show swatch folders in recolor artwork panel
In the recolor artwork panel when you double click the color on the right to determine what the color is being changed to, you can choose from swatches by then clicking on swatches. But, it's just a list of all of the swatches with no indication of which swatch folder the swatches are in. This makes recoloring difficult at times

Pen tool - just double click last point to stop drawing (and leave path open)
It used to be (many versions ago) that if I was drawing with the pen tool, all I had to do is double click my last point, and it would end that graphic, leaving it open, and leaving the tool ready to draw another line. Now the only way to stop seems to be to hit return (which is awkward since I am right handed), go hit another tool, or use a keystroke. All of these take more time and break my train of thought.

Bullets & Numbering in Shortcuts
The menu items for bullets and numbering are not in "Edit shortcuts" At least not in the German version of Illustrator.
Could they perhaps be made available for shortcuts?

Make Global Swatches Retain Color Name When Added to a CC Library
It's important to clearly label color palette swatches for hand-off. It's especially important for CMYK production files. At present, a user would need to name the swatch twice. Once in the document swatch library and a second time when the swatch is added to a CC Library. An additional concern is that by default the CC Library saves the color as a HEX value even if the open document is in CMYK color mode.

Fast way to make multiple text boxes
I like to break up words and phrases in to multiple text boxes so I can move them freely. It would be nice to have a fast way while typing out the phrase to break it in to more than one text box. Like a “command + enter” type thing that instead of going to a new line it goes to a new text box.

Unnecessary rectangles upon embedding from the Library
After embedding an object from the library, it appears a transparent outline around the object itself. This creates issues while exporting in DWG for instance, but also in the drawing modification in Illustrator, as we have to remove manually this outline object by object

Stroke width profiles stored with files, not with app
Currently, variable stroke width profiles are stored within the app, not within the file. So when I want to work on a cloud file on another computer, I have to manually add profiles to the saved profiles dropdown again from existing strokes, because they are no longer available.
And while you're at it, add sorting, exporting and importing options to the variable width panel, it is seriously frustrating having to go through all of them every time - if you commonly use this feature, the list can get quite long.

Please make live paint more convenient!
To fill in my drawing outlines or an object, I have to select the section of outlines or shapes first, which is dumb, because in selecting the outlines or shapes, the color fill automatically changes to the color whatever is selected (the color of the stroke or shape's outline, that I want to fill in with a different color. This is made even more frustrating when I have to use the eyedropper to select a fill color, only for my color section to immediately change, upon reselecting the shape outlines I intended to fill in.
It is also a pain…

Update Artboard Default Sizes
The current list of default art board sizes are very old and spec sizes for products that are no longer in use. Please update the list to include modern formats like HD, 4K, iPhone 11, 12 and so on. I doubt many people still regularly use the VGA settings or the 'Nexus 7' any more.

Placed psd layer comps keep their visibility regardless of color space(s)
Make layer comp visibility overrides work regardless of color space. When placing layer comps from PSD, the color spaces for both documents need to be the same in order for the layer comp visibility overrides to be sticky in AI. If one is CMYK and the other is RGB, and the layer comps are changed, the placed comps do not keep their original comp visibility overrides.
