Scale hidden objects within a group.
Objects in a group that are hidden should scale along with the rest of the group, like they do in Photoshop. (Or it should at least be an option alongside the "scale strokes & effects" option.)
It makes absolutely no sense for them to be left behind.

I have a standard way of working and organizing windows, icons, and other tools in the Illustrator workspace, and I'd like these settings to be synchronized across my devices, given that I work on my laptop and desktop in different locations at different times of the day.

Asset/Object export needs more options
I wanted to export multiple assets/objects with their artboard position and quickly realized they will get cropped and there isn't an option to change that.
The possible naming is also quite limited. Every professional program should have wildcards for naming files.
It boils down to missing batch features. I found a developer who gave it a try once (TomByrne IllustratorSmartExport). That's everything the batch export could and should be and it should be an official inspiration for how the export in Illustrator should look/feel like. Preserve Text Formatting when using Paste
I would like to suggest adding an option to preserve text formatting when pasting content.
I’m aware of the Place Text feature, but it doesn’t fully meet the need of retaining the original formatting from copied text.This functionality would be especially helpful for my work, as I frequently design leaflets that include both English and Arabic text. Having a paste option that maintains formatting would save time and ensure greater consistency in my projects.
I would greatly appreciate your consideration of this feature. Thank you for the excellent work you do in developing Illustrator.

Improving Processing Performance for Large ESP Format Images
I am a scientific researcher who frequently uses this software to process images in ESP format. Overall, the software performs very well, but it becomes noticeably sluggish when handling scatter plots with a large number of data points, such as EPR spectra and fluorescence lifetime plots. Based on my experience, this may be due to limited compatibility in processing such datasets, as my Mac computer has 32 GB of RAM, which should be sufficient. I hope this issue can be addressed and optimized soon. Thank you very much!

Libraries Keep Freezing when I open a new document
I keep our company swatch colours in the adobe libraries but over the last two months the libraries would freeze where I could scroll through them. I would need to quite illustrator and reopen them to access them again.

Path Eraser tool option to keep the path closed
Maybe while holding Opt/Alt, could be a good way to do it.
I often use the Pencil tool, especially Smooth option while holding Opt/Alt, to clean points when there are too many of them and it works well on curves but not on straight lines (they become wavy).
Sometimes I use the Path Eraser tool, but as its name tells it, it erases the path and then I have to select points and Ctrl+J to join. I just want an option to give us the choice to keep the path closed or not. It would require many less steps to…1 vote -

タイトルの通りです。現在は｢透明｣パレットしかアクセスできないので、使い勝手をPhotoshopみたいにレイヤーパネル内で透明度の設定が出来ると、尚便利です。

One click flatten button, to Expand text and strokes for print/sharing
Hi everyone,
I'm a computer graphic design teacher at NABA. While teaching Adobe Illustrator, I’ve found it challenging to explain the concept of Expand Appearance and how to properly flatten text and lines for final output.It would be incredibly helpful to have a one-click solution that automatically handles proofing—expanding appearances, flattening both text and lines—and clearly indicates that the AI or PDF file is ready for print or delivery.

印刷工程時において、入稿用のデータにアウトラインがかかっていないことで印刷事故や再入稿が頻発しています。これはオペレーターの作業ミスによるものですが、データの保存時に「アウトライン未完了のアラート」があればかなり減らせます。世界中の印刷工程で起こっている問題ですので是非早急に実装してください。

Searchbar for layers or simple filters
The same idea what we can find in PS. Possibility to show just a specific layers depends type of the filter. For example showing just a lock layers will be nice or show layers with specific fill color. If I've got a huge amount of layers in the project, event if I try to naming them I spend too much time for looking for locked layer or some specific one.

A feature to copy the element as any file format and be able to paste it on any other software we want.
A feature to copy the elements in Illustrator as format, like if I create an icon I should be able to copy the icon as "SVG" or any other file format and be able to paste in any tool that I suite me. That way I don't have to keep exporting my Icons every time I create one. Figma already have that option. This is valuable for me because I work on multiple tools like Figma and Illustrator and I like to design my own Icons and I don't like Figma for designing my Icons I prefer Illustrator and exporting…
1 voteAccording to the team, SVG copy/paste was disabled by default as many customers see performance issues on Windows 11 (due to clipboard recorder). It can get enabled back again in Preferences > Clipboard Handling > Include SVG Code.

Pen tool work flow
I use several Adobe products and the Pen tool’s work flow in Illustrator is terrible. A lot of functionality is separated into several different tools that could all be wrapped together into one beautiful tool. The Pen tool’s work flow within Photoshop works so much better! (Make a line, Add or subtract anchor points, Add or break curves, move an anchor point, move a line, rotate a selection of anchor points.) Group multiple entities from multiple layers keeping layers
When you Group a selection of entities from multiple layers all comes in a single layer.
In many case it should be mandatory to group those elements in a new Group but keeping the layers or at least a new layer with the original layers as "sublayers" so you can still filter objects by layer, and select all at one by selecting master layer.1 vote -
Select with Pencil tool
I would like to use the Pencil tool as a lasso selection. So instead of drawing the selection you can create a shape of lines and when the loop is closed everything inside is selected.

Please provide an option to not create compound paths with Pathfinder's crop/clipping function.
When objects completely overlap, recent versions of Illustrator now use compound paths. While this method is indeed superior in that it allows for non-destructive re-editing, I preferred the previous irreversible clipping even when objects completely overlapped. If you can't revert it back, could you at least add an irreversible option?
