1. Selecting options in panel dropdown menus always activates the item below the menu

   This bug has been affecting me for many months through multiple updates. It happens consistently. When I click an item in a dropdown menu within a tool panel, no matter how careful I am I end up activating whatever option is BELOW the menu at that location.
   
   EXAMPL (see attached video): In the gradient panel I select the Location option, which opens a dropdown menu with 10 options (0% to 100%). When the Location menu opens, it hangs down over the tool panel below. In this case, Swatches. I select 80%: the physical location of that option in the menu is overlaying a swatch in the swatches panel below. When I click on it, I momentarily see the 80% selection take effect, then immediately my gradient is changed to the swatch BELOW the selection menu.
   
   To be clear: this happens all the time with many menus on many panels. I am not accidentally double clicking my mouse. It happens 100% of the time, makingit impossible to use any of the dropdown menus. My only option is to view the possible optoins then actually type them into the box, OR, pull the panel away from other panels so nothing is below. This appears to be an issue with how the program is processing mouse clicks. It seems to read the click, activate the releavnt menu option, close the menu, then read the mouse click again. There is nothing that I, as a user, can do about it.

3. The pointer has gone crazy!

   -iMac 27 inch (mid 2010)
   -3,2 GHz Intel Core i3
   -Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
   -ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB
   
   -MacOS 10.13.5
   -Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 v22.1.0.312

   After updating the last MacOS 10.13.5 system, the cursor/pointer decides to randomly click on the work area. (it's not a mouse problem) This problem is very serious, because it doesn't make me work.

4. Crash when applying stroke

   Illustrator often crashes when apply stroke to simple path or compound path. Crash seems random and inconsistent but happens 6-10 times a month.

5. global color slider occasionally stuck

   We work from a preset set of colors that I have set up as global colors so that we can easily use percentages of each color in the projects we work on. I have found that not infrequently the global color slider will get "stuck" on the initial percentage it is set to. Trying to change the percentage by typing in a new percentage will get set back to the percentage that it was originally set to (I was just working on a project where I set it to 30% initially. That looked too faint so I typed in "40" but the slider kept going back to 30% when I hit return.) To get out of this I move the slider a few degrees using the pointer and then I can type in the number and have the new number stick.

   We work from a preset set of colors that I have set up as global colors so that we can easily use percentages of each color in the projects we work on. 6. creating a simple box crashes the software

   More often than not when I go to create a simple box Illustrator crashes forcing me to FORCE QUIT the software and try again.

7. Opening CC 2015 files that have missing links causes the program to hang/crash

   Old 2015 save files which have a missing linked file cause CC 2018 to hang when opening the file. Opening the file in 2015 bring up the dialogue box 'missing file, do you want to continue to open'. It seems 2018 cant show the dialogue box or some strange bug so it hangs.

8. Missing Layers

   Opened my document this morning and all the correct layers were there, closed out because I made no changes so there was nothing to save. reopened my document again all my layers were gone! only showing the orginal base image. Help

10. Rearrange All Artboards does not move artwork with it when spacing is adjusted

    1. OS X / Adobe CC 2018 (OS X is where this document ran into this issue, but if it helps troubleshoot, it is being passed back and forth between a Windows 10 machine).

    2. I have a document with multiple artboards. I needed to increase the spacing between them. I went to Rearrange All Artboards where "Move Art with Artboard" was already selected from multiple previous re-arrangings. I changed the spacing from 20px to 60px.

    3. I expected the artboards to have the new spacing, with art in the same location.

    4. The artboards had the new spacing, but the art on every artboard was shifted down and right (as if the Move Art with Artboard box wasn't checked).

    I undid the Rearrangement and tried again with the same parameters to the same outcome in case it was just a one-time error, but it persisted. Only when I unchecked and re-checked the "Move Artwork with Artboard" checkbox did it re-arrange everything as expected.

    I cannot reproduce this issue in a simpler document, so I'm not sure if it relates to how large the file I'm working in is, but if I hadn't thought to uncheck and re-check the box, it would have caused a lot of frustration.

11. Pantone colours not appearing correctly in email preview

    When I convert a CMYK colour to pantone and then rasterize it into an image (cmyk) to make it smaller for sending, in the email preview (gmail) the pantone colour appears completely wrong.

    file is saved as pdf (cmyk). file is created also in cmyk

12. Freeze during heavy detail

    I'm working on a macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.4 MacBook Pro on Illustrator 22.1

    When I have a detailed design - ie a palm tree with numerous branches. I try and resize it or copy paste it and the program freezes then my whole computer freezes and I have to restart the computer.

    I expect this program to be able to handle designs with heavy detail and not freeze up every single time.

13. Ilustrator Crashes when printing to laser cutter.

    Hello,
    I typically use illustrator to print to our Epilog Mini Helix 24" Laser Cutter/Engraver. When printing, you go into setup, select the laser, then go into it's preferences to configure laser-specific settings. When you hit "Print" it sends the files to software provided by Epilog: Job Manager.

    This is an annoyingly repeatable problem, as I am not able to laser cut anything from Illustrator. It crashes every time.

    However, in the past couple days this has suddenly stopped working. No matter what file I try to send to the job manager, the whole program crashes when I hit "Print." I've tried different files, different settings, reinstalls, etc. The Job Manager software hasn't had an update recently, so I don't think that it is the issue.

    I'm using an MSI GS63VR laptop with an i7-6700HQ, NVIDIA GTX 1060, and Illustrator is installed on the C: drive, which is an SSD. That info may or may not be helpful but I figured I would include it.

14. Tools all become 'locked' requiring reboot (of Illustrator, not OS)

    Windows 10, March 2018 Illustrator (latest).

    This has happened maybe five or six times now, I think only since the latest update, apparently random occurrence (or I can't spot a common theme). Working on an unlocked layer, all drawing tools get a 'not available' symbol next to them. Can select objects in the layers panel but nowhere else. The only fix is to restart Illustrator - just closing and reopening the document (or indeed another document) does not unlock the tools.

    Al abrir mi Illustrator me aparece un mensaje de error "no es posible establecer el numero máximo de archivos que se deben abrir illustrator", esto ocurrió de un día a otro, el día anterior lo cerré normalmente, apagué mi mac y al día siguiente al abrir el programa me apareció ese mensaje.

16. Inaccurate paths

    Good day

    Before the big update back in 2017, Illustrator's paths were very accurate in terms of using pathfinder tools and intense zooming in. I'm not sure what the new updates were, but it's frustrating.

    Attached are screenshots of what I'm talking about. I punched 2 objects (namely black colour and green colour), using the exact same ellipse that I copied and pasted in front. I used to do this all the time, but with better results. Now it's as if it purposely goes out of the accuracy it once had. I'm zoomed in all the way with these screenshots.

    Hello,

    I use an illustrator file with variables with 100 datasets.

    Problem: when switching through datasets via the small triangle buttons recently gives strange popup "the actual values are not captured and will be deleted when switching , continue?" - was not the case before!! i never had this message since 1 year and i nothing changed, apart from the content of the variables.

    When clicking button "ok" the next dataset is shown without problem. The problem is that i cannot make a batch processing any more, because this useless message needs to be clicked every time.

    I dont understand which "actual values" are meant and "not captured". The values are fixed and not changed??!?

18. All Typekit fonts unavailable

    All of a sudden Typekit stopped working through Illustrator/Photoshop. I cannot open the CC app on my desktop either. I cannot uninstall it nor reinstall it as none of these functions will work. I am effectively frozen out of my desktop CC app and typekit. When I access Typekit via the webpage it shows my snyced fonts but I cannot access them on my desktop (PC). I am unable to complete my work. I have been troubleshooting this since Monday and would like to talk one on one with someone who can talk me through what to do. I am a self-employed designer with a delayed project due to this problem. I have tried to unistall CC and redownload but neither action will execute. I am extremely frustrated, especially at the near impossibility of finding an actual person to talk to.

19. Illustrator Distortion of Template and final art

    Yesterday morning or 3 prepress PC opened a billboard template, and it appeared distorted (Sketch Look). We checked all preferences and setting in both Illustrator and Windows and found no problems. Had artist build the billboard anyway. When the art was checked the numbers on the top and sides of the board extended beyond the live and bleed area. When doubled clicked on they came back within normal parameters. We check all Billboard templates with the other 3 prepress PCs and had no issues with the templates. Last night uninstalled and re-installed illustrator. The problem still exists. If I get another billboard built by this PC I will do a screen capture so the error can be viewed on a good PC with Illustrator.
