1. Text Selection

   When I go to edit text, I select a spot to type. When I try to delete a single letter, it deletes the whole text box.

2. Pencil 2 Brush disappeared

   I drew a stroke with the Pencil 2 Brush. After duplicating the artboard, I noticed my strokes had disappeared. The path was still there, though - as was the applied Brush 2. However, even in the brushes panel, Pencil 2 seemed to have no attributes. It was just blank, not even showing a sample/preview stroke. I changed the path to Pencil 1, and all was fine. Though, several days later Pencil 2 brush is still missing.

3. App crashes or freezes when trying to create a new file

   I can not create a file on the ipad mini6, and importing from the files app also didn't work.

5. Connections and synchronisation issues

   Illustrator doesn’t seem to keep connected to the Creative Cloud, saying I am no longer connected and it doesn’t synchronize my work. I have lost multiple works this way.
   Impossibility to synchronize, save or stay registered (screenshots are in French sorry but this is basically what it says).
   Of course I tried login/logout and multiple other attempts to synchronize.

7. illustrator type bugs

   I am Korean Ipad illustrator user.
   Recently I exprienced some very important bugs to me.
   Suddenly I am not writing Korean any more.
   I already reset Ipad and this app, but it was useless.

8. Full iPad trackpad support

   This is driving me crazy with the Magic Keyboard, instinctively try and grab an object with cursor, nope, try and grab with my finger, nope, try with Apple Pencil, yep that works. Do I have to have Pencil to even use the app? Just so weird now with the track pad, some taps work, others don’t, sometimes the menu doesn’t work, but try with my finger and also doesn’t work. Half support is almost worse.

11. Apple Pencil Issues in Illustrator IPad

    When I try selecting a shape with the pencil or my finger, it will not let me select the item. The pencil is fully charge and the tip of the pencil is tighten. Most of the time it’s when I am trying to duplicate an item and the only way I can get another shape is to create it if I am lucky. Most of the time I will have to exit out of the program on the IPad and reopen it and it will work for a few but then I have the same issue again and again.

    It seems to be only when I try selecting an object which is my main problem , I can use the pencil when to hit the layers on the side and click the different tools, but I can make shape and use the tools but once I am done with the tool I can not select afterwards..

    Hi,

    Make sure you have selected Selection tool while trying to select an object. If you still faces the problem please share a video with us. You can turn on “Show taps as a blue dot” from Application Settings > Input.

    Hi,

    You can copy art from one document by clicking copy in “Edit” menu in the right bar, then go back to home and open new document. Do a double tap or select “Paste” option from edit menu.

14. Illustrator for iPad crashes after iPadOS 26.5 update / Cloud sync issue

    Device: iPad (256GB, over 160GB free space)
    iPadOS: 26.5
    Illustrator: Latest version

    After updating to iPadOS 26.5, Illustrator for iPad frequently crashes.

    Symptoms:

    • The app crashes when opening existing documents.
    • The app sometimes crashes when creating a new document.
    • Reinstalling Illustrator did not fix the issue.
    • Storage space is not an issue (over 160GB free).
    • Other apps such as Procreate work normally.

    Additional observations:

    • Illustrator can be launched successfully when the iPad is in Airplane Mode.
    • After launching in Airplane Mode, turning Wi-Fi back on sometimes allows the app to continue running.
    • Document lists are sometimes incomplete after launch and later reappear.
    • If I edit a document while offline and then reconnect to Wi-Fi, the changes I made can disappear while the document itself remains.

    I found multiple Adobe Illustrator crash logs (.ips files) generated during these crashes.

    This appears to be related to cloud document synchronization or startup synchronization after updating to iPadOS 26.5.

15. Crashing consistently tried everything

    My iPad is up to date, I deleted and redownloaded the illustrator app, the app opens up and once I click one a template and it attempts to oPen up, the app crashes. I’ve tried a lot of things and need help getting this resolved asap.

16. Why is an app from $1 billion company freezing every five minutes?!?!

    I can’t go five minutes working on a file without the art boards freezing and not allowing me to zoom in and out. This is ridiculous coming from $1 billion company like Adobe. Tell me how Affinity can provide a software for free and it’s 1000 times more efficient and bug free than Adobe software. It’s crazy.

17. Keps crashing

    My illustrator app (on iPad 12.9 inch, 4th gen) keeps crashing every time I open a specific document which is not overly complicated or even heavy? As soon as I open it Illustrator shuts down.

18. Fix the performance and stability issues that make what could be an wonderful design app into an unusable disappointment.

    The stuttering when drawing or panning the screen, the freezes, the crashes all erode what could be a wonderful way to design vector graphics on the iPad. I LOVE some of the UX details such as how when you delete a node it matches the existing curve as close as possible (I wish this feature was in the desktop version), or the smoothness of the drawing tools (at least until the become horribly laggy).

    Sadly, Illustrator on the iPad sits there unused, only opened briefly when a new update is pushed in the hope that it actually fixes the performance and stability issues. Guess I'll go back to working in Affinity Designer on the iPad while I wait for Adobe to stop playing around with AI nonsense and actually get back to making software.

19. Photos are no longer appearing when added (started about 1 week ago)

    Hi there, I am having trouble adding photos to a project. This is a new issue where the photo does not appear. You can see the screenshots attached. I’ve restarted, removed the app and re-downloaded, all the basic tech troubleshooting, but it is still not working.

20. App freezes and crashes, data lost

    The app will freeze up and then crash on me and doesn’t save and my work is lost. Not only is this a huge inconvenience but it makes it extremely frustrating especially when hours of work are lost.
