In some occasions it comes in handy to see all anchor points, even those of unselected objects. (to snap to e.g.)

Please make this possible. A small hint may be enough, to distinguish 'm from selected anchors.

In some occasions, it comes in handy to see where anchor points reside on non-selected paths (to snap to, or cut with the knife or whatever).
Please add a Preference to do so - a tiny hint of where the points are may be enough.

@Egor - For example when making big repeating patterns (e.g. to use as a texture tile or pattern tile).

To create a seamless tile, I need to replicate the element at the sides to the opposite sides. In stead of using the Move command to copy elements (and repeatedly enter the distance in the numeric field), I like to enter this as Keyboard Increment, to have it handy at all time.

Let's say the tile I am working on is 4096 x 4096 px - currently I have to use 1024 as Keyboard Increment and press it four times to reach the other side. I think 1296, is some kind of 8 bit leftover. Don't know why it is still a limit.

    I use Ai often as a texture-creator.
I create layers for color, bump, normal, reflection etc. to import in Cinema4D.

Since export to .psd / Write Layers does not work in every case, it would be nice to have the possibility to export Layers as separate images.

There are now several separate requests made, based on the feedback in this thread:

    1. Regarding adjustable color and opacity for 3D shadows:

    https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/47054086

    2. Regarding presets for each tab in 3D and Materials panels: Object, Materials, Lighting:

    http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/47350001

All those who commented on the topic until October 16, 2023, are already added as voters there. If this is something you want to have for 3D and Materials in Illustrator — please upvote it. If possible — create new requests and bug reports about 3D, rather than commenting here inside. This will help the team to better prioritize efforts on making the feature better. As always — thanks for the feedback! It helps.

Here is my example, requested by Egor Chistyakov | Admin:

    -Create a text
    -Create Outlines (cmd-shift-o)
-Choose 3D and Materials / Extrude & Bevel, keep the Default setting
-In the 3D and Material Panels, choose ‘Quick and ‘Expand as wireframes’
-Zoom in on curves of the created ‘wireframe’ and see how those of the extrusion don’t match those of the caps.
    (pic 1)

Do the same with Classic 3d and Object / Expand appearance, and see how the result perfectly matches. (pic 2)

Please make it as accurate as the legacy effect.

The new 'improved' effects' results have a lot of abberations in the paths.

Please make Expand work for these, just like for any other object in Illustrator.

I would like to expand 3d Extrudes as they look, just like in older versions was possible.
    Not 'as wireframes'.

I think it's due to general misconception of motion graphics workflows by the Illustrator team.
Illustrator has some video templates, but these are not very usefull.
When working in RGB for video, we need to start on black, and have 16bpc. Most of us do not need the green video rulers and center marks.

Each time, we adjusting a Swatch' color, we have to check 'Preview'.
Please let that setting be sticky. - once set, keep it active and vice versa.

The behavior of Ai to add -01 when exporting using Artboards should be more controllable. I have a lot of situations where there is only 1 artboard. I like to control how my exported file should be called. In the current version, when overwriting exports, I can end up with files called [filename]-01-01-01.png
Please add a checkbox to give us the possibility to skip the 'intelligence' and just manually type a name that will be respected and used exactly as we type it.
