Hello all,
The 'Apply to all' checkbox has been brought back in the Replace missing link dialogue.
'Apply to all' checkbox was removed when we introduced the 'Auto-relink' (search for missing links in this folder) functionality, as we though 'auto-relink' is going to take care of the 'replace all' workflow as well. But it didn't work as expected in few cases as pointed out by some of you.
Hence, with the latest release V29.2 (full roll out happens on Jan 9), we have decided to revert to the earlier experience whereby we are bringing back 'apply to all' checkbox and rolling back the 'auto-relink functionality.
Because of conflicts, both of these functionality cannot co-exist unless we make some significant changes to the relinking experience.
As we understand, 'replace all' was a important workflow for most of you, so we decided to quickly bring it back while working on the overall…

If you hide the Grid on your attached file it seems to then work fine. Should be able to use the grid though.

Illustrator 25.4.1 is practically unusable and has been for the last few versions, artworks continually greys out when zooming in.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

If this happens for you, please check the 'Use Preview Bounds' in Preferences > General. When it’s enabled, Ai will treat strokes and effects as a part of the object’s bounds.

Do you have Use Preview Bounds ticked under General in your preferences? If so deselect this option.

It is now obvious the issue was not fixed fully. The developers are aware of it now. Let’s hope it will be fixed soon enough.
If you have a solid order of steps which reproduce this behavior, share them in comments, because only some machines are affected. Please help the team to isolate it.

Illustrator 22.0.0
Entered a measurement of W - 600mm and H - 230mm in the transform tool box but the H measurement randomly changed to H - 544mm and H - 883mm, sometimes it will stay at 230mm but can randomly change to another number.

Starting with version 29.3, Illustrator got the 'Embed permitted fonts for file preview' option in the Illustrator Options save dialog.
Currently it’s disabled by default, because there were multiple confused complaints on the changed behavior.
When missing in your current system, fonts will render as previews in the documents that were saved with this option enabled — it 'bakes' these outlines in. When we try to edit one though, we get a warning and the font becomes substituted, as before.

However, this is not 'Convert text to outlines on open' as we requested it. The option does not provide a way to do that for all the embedded outline previews, and Ai still doesn’t allow to select these at once. I also would love to see this, until then have you tried linking the pdf in illustrator and then going to object - flatten transparency and tick Convert All Text to Outlines, can then save this as a preset from that point on.

You can still use the Grid guides if you changes the Style to Lines under Preferences - Guides and Grid and then play around with colour and subdivisions to suit.
