Hi Everyone,
This functionality has been shipped in June-2021 version of Illustrator.
The option "Paste without Formatting (Alt+Ctrl+V)’ has been added to the ‘Edit’ Menu.
Thanks for your feedback.

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
PDF is now available as type in File > Export > Export As dialog.
However, File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, similar to one InDesign has, to allow even quicker export, is absent still.
If you want to have it, please upvote this new request here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48670088

Hello all,
This functionality is now available in all the public builds starting V29.0.
To use this functionality, simply select colors from your swatches panel and click on 'create gradient' in the swatch panel options.
Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks

I see that a lot of housekeeping has been going on in the uservoice. Does anyone think that someone at Adobe might actually respond to this three year old request?

Check out what I just found buried in this article: https://medium.com/adobetech/creative-developers-summit-2019-report-bfbed73561db
"Although it was a bit unorthodox for Creative WOW, there were a couple of sneak peeks from Adobe.
... another Adobe employee gave a sneak peek of Project Lincoln, an app which makes it easy to create infographic charts."So it sounds like "Project Lincoln" is still being developed. So thats pretty cool.

Agreed. The tool has been practically unusable since its inception a decade ago. At least let us know if you've just decided to abandon it.
Someone below mentioned "Project Lincoln" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX1BBMyY1bc
That is what I want. Even a beta version.Theresa supported this idea ·

Thurid & Deller. I've actually been using it for a few months, and really like it. Not without its own bugs, but a thousand times better than anything adobe has given us.
