Align to...BUTTON
In a past version of AI, the "align to artboard or selection" was a button rather than a menu. Please bring back the button! I switch between these two options hundreds of times a week and the menu wastes time that adds up.
Thanks so much always!
2 votesAlign To is now three buttons in Align panel instead of a dropdown list.

Remove canvas size limit
Can we please have the possibility to set bigger canvas size to incorporate large sized artwork.
(Please note: This item is NOT for more number of artboards per document)

Rotation of the Canvas
Like in Photoshop it would be great if an Artist could rotate the artboard/canvas in Illustrator. If you draw a line from left to right it's never the same stroke as from up to down.

Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.

Resize artboard&art inside it simultaneously
I just want to resize both artboard and art inside it.
Currently, I've used beta 22.0.0, I can multiple select artboards, but I can't just scale art with artboard, I need to scale each one separately. Or scale art, then select Object->Artboards-> Fit To Selected Art...But I want just like Ctrl+Mouse to scale them both.
319 votesHi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 29.0.1 .
Now you can scale you artwork with artboards using Artboard tool , Artboard Dimensions and Preset.

Copy multiple artboards between files.
Copy, merge and save artboards between files. For example select multiple artboards, copy to other file, or save as .artboard file... Option to paste or merge this file/clipboard to other open document. Makes it easier to maintain libraries, icons, style elements etc in one file to work with or to share.

Bleed View - a view mode that shows just the artwork
Add a view mode that shows only artwork on the artboards, like in InDesign. Where I don't see the bleed and the artwork on it.

Increase Bleed Limit!
1 inch bleed limit may seem extreme for offset (usually 1/8") or packaging (1/4"), but people use Illustrator for all kinds of projects! Textile vendors want much more. The limit makes proofing annoying because we need to get approvals without bleed.

Moving Artboards and Locked Layers
The latest CC updates' new feature allows locked/hidden layers to move when you move an artboard. This doesn't make sense since locked should mean locked. I am running into problems now because my company uses a lot of artboards to make print-production files, and sometimes you need to re-arrange the artboards while working on the file.
There should be a way to turn this feature on or off. Such as "keep locked/hidden layers locked when moving/duplicating artboards, or allow locked and hidden elements to move when artboard moves"78 votesAs you probably know, Illustrator today allows to change this behavior with a dedicated option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section.
However, it’s not that accessible, especially when you are already move and copy your artboards.
If you wish this option to be more exposed, consider upvoting this request: Display Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard option in Control panel and Properties while using Artboard tool / mode

Artboards do not snap to whole pixels
When the snap to pixel option is turned on and I use the Artboard Tool dragging the corner of the artboard results in random decimals.
Say if my artboard is 512x512 and I drag a corner out it will now be dragging at every pixel but with a random decimal rather than a integer. this decimal will be the same at every snapped pixel until I let go. at this point if I move it again a new random decimal will be added. These two screenshots show issue values. take not it is random and the X and Y values…

New artboard default to spacing set in Rearrange artboard panel
It would be useful if when you create a new artboard that the spacing between it and the previous one reflects the spacing you have defined in the 're-arrange artboards' panel.
Currently it defaults to something around 7/8mm which is annoying when you have artwork that spills over, as moving the artboard drags the artwork with it. I know you can turn that feature off, but the spacing defaulting to what you've already defined would still be very useful.
36 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Properties Panel Lack of alignment on single object
Hello the new properties panel is good however if you select a single object there is no option to align that object, if you select more than one it comes up...
THis would be very handy on a single object
27 votesHi Everyone,
Thanks for this feedback. This has been avialble since June 2020 release (version 24.2). Further, when you’ll select a single object/group, Align To setting will default to Align To Artboard.
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

To be able to make Illustrator a 3D drawing software as well.
I want to be able to have a 3D view of the artwork, because illustrator is based on paths I thought rather that it would be cool to navigate it in 3D.
2 votesLatest versions of Illustrator allow to covert flat vector objects into 3D ones and export them into 3D formats or flat images — with Effect > 3D and Materials effects, also accessible from Window > 3D and Materials panel.

Need to select all artboards and resize them at once by entering desired size.
Need to select and change all artboard size at once. Can we have this feature in Illustrator? Because after design we need to prepare artworks from same file so we need to increase artboard sizes to add crop marks and other details of instructions for printer, It will be easier if we can change this in artboard window or from document setup.
3 votesIn latest version we can select multiple artboards and resize each one at once.
Please comment back if it’s still not solved for you.

Move(select) multiple artboards with just a mouse
I just need to be able to select and move multiple artboards.
Thats so simple. Currently, I can select only 1, but I have 100 of them already and I want move some groups in my document, to easy re-arrange them. But I have to move one by one. AWKWARD.7 votesHi,

Allow more than 100 artboards
Artboard limits should be a "soft cap" of 100 or more dependent on the user's PC specs. The user should then be able to, at their own risk of performance, increase the cap of artboards to whatever number they feel is necessary, whether or not that is unlimited is up to the user. There was a suggestion to remove this cap over 5 years ago, I believe it is time to make the change.
I need currently 120 and it's really AWKWARD to create a new file and put resources there. I 100% need all my images in one file…6 votesHi,

auto arrange artboards on new
First, the workspace is Too **** small at this point, especially when working in pixels. And someone out there assumes 72dpi still. Stop it!
I'm creating 4K artboards to explore some ideas. I create 2 of them. And it won't let me create a 3rd without rearranging. Who's idea was That!?!?
The first thing you should do is just move the stinkin' workspace. What's with all the room on the left? Look, if you only work left to right, why are you always trying to center the artboards in the workspace? You'll never use the space above or to the…

100 artboards
Over 100 Artboards please. This has been talked about for 3 years now to no avail.
I'm creating UI and it requires more that 100 pages. Why are we being constrained?
