fsType not honored when exporting as PDF
Hello,
I've noticed the fsType value in the OS/2 table of OTF fonts is not honored by Indesign nor Illustrator.
I've set the value of fsType to 0x0102 and this should prevent subsetting and embedding.
However, Illustrator exports to pdf, embedding . Worst, it gives no warning the embedding/subsetting isn't allowed for the current font.for info, I had flushed any font cache to be sure the font files are the good ones and deleted them from my disk before reopening my pdf to be sure they're embedded.

When exporting .svg from .ai file text kerning is not correct.
For example, the letter-spacing is not correct.

Remove welcome messages
Please remove the welcome messages "Let's design great graphics today, ... " and "Start a new file fast". They are unnecessary and become annoying when you see them all the time. Besides, to me it is totally irritating when a computer program addresses me with my name and even more when it is not at all intended to make a conversation with.

Dear Team, Need AI can save files faster when we all are working homes, in a lower network speed.
Adobe AI getting more slower in the aspects of saving even small files, when we all are working from home till now, it should be save much faster our files and can save some backup files even.

Kill switch
Would be great FOR ALL ADOBE PRODUCTS to create a kill switch at start-up. Don't know how many times I have launched AE when I meant to click on Illustrator, or really any product. Having a button to stop the software from launching after accidentally clicking on it would be great, locate the button on the start-up panel....

Why Print presets in points not mm?
Every time I create a new document from preset, I am thinking why is it in points not mm or inch. It is PRINT, not screen.

Please add weibei-TC-bold font back to adobe applications.
I am unable to use "weibei-TC-bold" in my previously saved AI files from 2018 and 2019. I have been using this font for my business logo for two years.

Separation preview with values on hover
Just like in InDesign there should be the value of each channel on the exact spot (while you are hovering over any point on your artwork)

It's hard to check color values without (at the moment you have to put the finished .ai into a InDesign document, activate separation view there and check each point.) Set Default File/Place Folder Location
Right now, AI doesn't offer the ability to change what folder opens up when you File/Place. It always go to the last used. Could we have an option to change it to where the opened file is? (I think PS offers this already).

Don’t include the stroke of the object when creating an object-sized artboard with Artboard tool
Create artboards to CENTER of stroke pleasssseee!
If I create a box with a fill and stroke, using (Shift+O) for Artboard tool, I double-click my box and a new artboard is created.
When I double-click my shape with the Artboard tool, it creates an artboard around the stroke width and not the actual bounding box or CENTER of the stroke.
I believe Illustrator used to perform this operation correctly in the past.12 votes -
Convert Psd to Illustrator Layer Fix
The issue. Photoshop not converting files for illustrator correctly.
excuses from locals: It works on in vectors... the arguing point to this... its art... and photoshop is being called a basic thing
If subject A is photoshop and Subject B is our layers. We have effects and other such various components such as shadows and shading. We are trying to bridge this over to Illustrator.

Ignore Groups and Clipping Masks
I lost about a Year of My Life double-clicking on objects within a group, inside of clipping masks. A less repetitive and MUCH faster way would be an option to "Ignore Groups and Clipping Masks" (i.e holding some key while clicking).
The option would temporarily (select-wise) treat grouped and clipped objects as normal objects, allowing direct click on an object through a clipping mask and ignoring groups. An "If you can see it, you can click on it!" approach for instant color and other adjustments.

Select same stroke appearance (Weight, Color and Brush type)
I am missing the option to select objects that have the same stroke weight, color and brush type. In a way I would like to have an extra option like "Select same stroke appearance" taking into account color, weight and type of brush.
Currently I only have the option to select same stroke color or stroke weight which is not specific enough for my current working method.
I can not use "Select same appearance" since the fill of these objects are different from each other.

Please Make a way to Undo Effects
It would help a lot if there was a way to reverse effects without using the undo button. I find myself many times regretting an effect I used and not being able to undo it because I saved and closed the file already.

Snapping unexpectedly disabled when drawing to an Artboard edge
When using the rectangle tool or other drawing tools, you can snap to the edge of an artboard, but you cannot snap to grid lines that intersect with the artboard edge.
This makes things complicated if you are designing relative to the artboard all the time with Snap to Grid or Snap to Pixel enabled. I have to workaround it, snapping inside or outside the artboard edge first, then moving the point an exact increment to match where the artboard edge and grid line intersect.

Copying a layer in a multi-layer file does not put anything on the clipboard for SVG
Select the top layer in a multi-layer file
Copy it to the clipboard
Use a clipboard viewer to display the "Scalable Vector Graphics" formatExpected Result: Well-formed SVG content to be on the clipboard.
Actual Result: The clipboard has no data for the format, even thought it advertises it as being available.I am a Microsoft engineer reporting this on behalf of a customer who is attempting to paste a layer from Illustrator into PowerPoint as SVG.

Better reflect tool functionality with option to add multiple instances similar to Macromedia Freehand.
Illustrator needs a better reflect tool that can add multiple instances. The way Freehand's reflect/rotate tool worked was IMO optional because it gave a live preview of the outcome and worked intuitively.
I know that similar thing can be done in effects -> transform, but you need many more steps to achieve the same result, often not knowing what to expect visually before you get the result.

Other pen enabled laptops compatibility for adobe fresco
I have a Dell laptop with a pen and I wanted to get adobe fresco. It seems like adobe made it exclusive for surface owners however I wanted to see if I could have access to it. There's little difference between my pen on my laptop and the pen on the surface laptops so I hope it wouldn't be too hard to add.
