"Notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue
It would be a huge help to have a "notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue so we could include notes and other meta data about a given swatch to convey to other designers or collaborators.

Export revisions only
When making minor updates to an existing presentation or pdf, option to "Export Revisions Only" to an existing file name or pdf - similar to Adobe Acrobat's new feature to detect changes between similar documents, this feature allows you export/update only the pages with revisions into an existing .pdf file. This saves a lot of export time when a client asks for several small revisions to a 10-20+ page presentation or document.

Make Properties panel to have the same width as other panels
Properties is the widest panel among other panels in Illustrator.
While other panels by default have the same width (and some are resizable), Properties is too wide.It gets specifically disgusting whet it get stacked with other panels — they have to conform the minimal width of Properties and start looking ugly.
At the same time, the main content of Properties does not look like it needs all that minimal width — there is a huge gap on the right visible in 'properties_1.png' attached.
Sure, when you have some art selected, it look differently, like in 'properties2.png'... but look…

Save the Export Path to with Export for Screens Presets
Please, SAVE the "Export To:" path with the Export Preset.
I don't want to set my Export Path in Export for Screen every f*ing time I restart Illustrator.
I was hoping that Export Presets would have fixed this annoyance, but it didn't help at all.
It amazes me how impossible it seems for Adobe to get these simple things work like they should.

Option to assign chosen profile selection to all open documents in Missing Profile box
When opening a project, I frequently have to choose either not to colour manage or I have to assign a particular profile to the document due to working with a number of different print houses. As I can sometimes open 10-20 documents at a time to edit them, would it be possible to assign the designated choice to all open documents at the same time, i.e., have a selection box you can tick to 'Apply selected profile option to all open projects'?
Currently it is really laborious choosing the profile for each individual file as it opens.

3 votes -
Allow to reduce the height of panels even further to save screen space
Panels invading workspace.
At present, by default, this is how small the Layer and Artboard panels' sizes can be minimized to. They take up a lot of valuable screen room on my Mac. I still want to see these but don't want to dock them into the side as that takes up a lot more room. Currently it's too invasive to my workspace, even so when I am using more layers and artboards.
I would suggest making it possible to make these panels even smaller so I can have extra space to be able to see more of my work…

Bigger / resizable text field for artboard names
The size of the text input field for the artboard names is often too short - so when I want to change the last bit of an artboard name (often for a modifier like ...white, ...dark etc.), I have to marquee / hit arrow or end key to get there. That makes renaming more complicated than necessary.

Add search to the History panel
With 100 or more states showing in the panel, it would be helpful to have a search field. Type in Graphic styles, merge, drop shadow, or whatever the label is to find it. Not sure if it's possible to highlight all of the matches, like all states labeled graphic style - or if there would be an arrow button to let you page through all graphic style states it finds.

Streamline and improve node/anchor editing.
I have used CoreDraw for many years, but needed to move to Adobe for a new position. In Corel, you can manipulate nodes (anchor points) with the direct select tool. Everything you need to do - add points, remove points, move points along the path, curve the line, move the handles, etc. - can all be done with the direct select tool and the 2 mouse buttons. In Adobe, I have to keep switching between 3 different tools to do the same thing, and on top of that, not all nodes have handles! It's very frustrating and slow. Why does…

'Position-Lockable' Text Boxes/text
Would it be possible to be able to 'lock' the position of a text box/line of text, but for the text content still be editable? This would be great for templated work, or just to make sure nothing shifts on the artboard to keep consistency.?

Add Color Mode "BITMAP" to TIFF Options in FILE->EXPORT->EXPORT AS
Add Color Mode "BITMAP" to TIFF Options in FILE->EXPORT->EXPORT AS
I regularly export high resolution ( 1440 dpi ) black and white tiff images from illustrator. Right now they must be exported as grayscale and then I have to open them in photoshop and convert them to 1 bit images and resave.

Add a modifier key to Pen and Anchor Point tools to constrain an existing anchor handle’s angle while dragging a new handle out
What I ask for is the equivalent of "constrain path dragging on segment reshape" kind of behaviour, but accessible on the fly on the anchor point edit level, not segment level. As it is now, if I have an anchor with a long handle on one side and short handle on the other side, it is impossible to adjust short handle directly without seriously messing with the direction of the long handle, altering the curvature wildly.

Embed SBSAR 3D Material Into .AI File
The ability to embed a 3D SBSAR material into an illustrator file so that other designers can open and use the same .ai file. Currently, the material is lost and greyed out.
Especially if they are custom SBSAR materials made in Adobe Substance Sampler.

We need separate snap options for Artboards vs Objects
Currently, 'Snap to Pixel' affects both the artboards and objects on them.
However, there are some issues with this:
Artboards can snap to .5 pixels. It's VITAL to snap artboards to pixel as the 'Export for Screens' will add extra unwanted pixels otherwise.
Objects can snap to the whole pixel, not the half pixel.
While snap to pixel for artboards is vital for certain features not to break, pixel snapping for objects is not.
The solution? There should be an Artboard snapping option, separate to the one that affects all objects.

Force GPU use. Disable auto GPU > CPU performance.

It's impressive to have a RTX4090 slept waiting for Illustrator CPU performance...

Export for Screen Preset system is a FIASCO
As comments for this thread are closet, I start a new one.
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/32015539-custom-presets-for-asset-export-export-for-screeThis Preset thing is a disaster. It doesn't fix any issues I have with Export For Screens.
It doesn't save the Folder for the export. So I have to set it every time I open my document, as Illustrator set it to the same folder as where my AI document is. This was, and now still is, my major problem with Export for Screens.
Also, I have to select the Preset every time I open my AI file. The least I was hoping was that the settings…

Printing one artboard multiple times on one sheet
It would be very beneficial to have a feature that allows you to save a pdf with multiple copies of your artboard on one sheet with cut marks. Something similar to the attached screenshot (that was manually created).

Make Recolor Artwork freely draggable
The initial Recolor panel cannot be dragged around on small screens (that you need to set up for recording tutorials or for whatever other reason). The controls are hidden. It would be great if this panel would behave like a normal panel when dragging around.
In the screenshot the monitor is set to 1280 x 720 and the dragstrip is not available. For even smaller screens, some control might get out of reach.
