Japanese characters in Japanese fonts are misaligned in Vertical Text Alignment
Starting with v24.3, vertical text alignment is now available. This is a great feature we have been waiting for. However, characters in Japanese fonts are misaligned at the center and bottom, as shown in Figure-1.
This is probably due to the fact that the bottom edge of the character is used as the baseline.Maybe we need The Last Baseline option.It's a tough road. But the Illustrator team can make it happen, I am sure of it.

Add Plus buttons as the sides of a selected artboard to quickly add new artboards
Photoshop displays nice (+) buttons to allow users to add new artboards to any side of a current one.
In Illustrator, Add buttons exist only in Control and Properties, and always add an artboard next in a row.
Not fair.
And if you add these new Add buttons — allow to disable them too. Some will disagree on having extra fluff on canvas.Mockup image by Oleg Krasnov

American's with Disabilities Act Request for Adobe iOS/Desktop apps Google Play
As much as Katerina (our autistic artist) loves your apps, she has made it clear that she needs Adobe to migrate the apps for iOS/Desktop to android due to how her disabilities impact her life. We are forever grateful to Adobe for giving Katerina the ability to focus on creativity instead of her disabilities however, not having the same ability to create on Illustrator has decreased our productivity. Multi selected Linked files Placement options change (links panel)
Preserve: transforms
Case:
Multiple linked files on artboard. Default Placement option for all files is Preserve: Transforms.
I need to change them for Preserve:File Dimension but must do it file by file,
because after selecting all linked files Placement options are greyed out
and not avaiable for multi use .It would be nice to improve it by letting change Placement options for multi selected files.
I need to change 30000 of them clicking one by one right now. So any help (or bypass idea) to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Adobe fonts do not auto activate reliably. Constant issues with Adobe fonts activating properly.
Your product does not auto activate and integrate "Adobe Fonts" properly. Fonts constantly fail to load or activate from the Adobe fonts library.
When features like this are not available, you are selling us a product that does not work. Everyone paying for an adobe subscription should be refunded based on the value of the feature. I.e. we should all be refunded for the value of PANTONE color use your app lost... why are we constantly paying to subscribe to a suite of programs that does not live up to the features promised? Artboards panel showing how many artboards are there in total
Artboards panel showing how many artboards are there in total, simply have the artboards total in the bottom left hand corner, currently you have to scroll down or click goto end/last to see how many artboards.

'Position-Lockable' Text Boxes/text
Would it be possible to be able to 'lock' the position of a text box/line of text, but for the text content still be editable? This would be great for templated work, or just to make sure nothing shifts on the artboard to keep consistency.?

Go to last-viewed artboard navigation shortcut
I would love to have a quick shortcut to jump to the last viewed/edited artboard. I often have to jump back and forth between artboards on large documents to compare items, and it would be great (!) to scroll to the place I need to compare, look at the comparison, and then have a single keystroke to jump back to where I just was previously, rather than scrolling all the way back.

3D Materials Inflate: taper volume, change direction of taper
I love the taper feature! It would be helpful to change the direction vertical/horizontal. Also the ability to also taper volume to create squeeze bottles that are round at the base but flat at the top.

Separations Preview should show colour values
The Separations Preview panel doesn't show the colour values of each colour channel at the cursor location. This makes checking the total values of overprinted spot colours or taking colour-value readings from inside gradients impossible. As such, it's only half useful. If it works in InDesign, the expectation is that it works in Illustrator.

Option to replace RGB sliders with HSB everywhere - all swatches and all color pickers.
We need ability to universally use HSB instead of RBG. I want the ability to fully replace RGB input and sliders with HSB everywhere in AI. I never want to look at RGB sliders ever again.
This request is all over the forum in different phrasings/forms but unfortunately that has divided the votes leading to lower ranking.There is a similar report, now marked as fixed, but users say it’s not:

Please show document name in full screen mode too
When in Full Screen mode (MacOS), the top bar shows 'Adobe Illustrator 2022', but not the name of the document (which is much more relevant ;-)

Top toolbar should display true length and width of shapes, not the "properties" of the shape.
It's very confusing when you reference the top toolbar to see the length and width of a shape only to realize the values are completely wrong. This is because the top toolbar displays the "properties" of a shape for whatever reason. The length of an object should always be the longest horizontal measurement, and the height should always be the longest vertical measurement, regardless of rotation. Despite not displaying true length and width, the toolbar uses symbols which clearly indicate length and width: a double ended horizontal arrow first, then a double ended vertical arrow second. Find and Replace text panel not closing after every replacement
When you need to replace multiple text in illustrator right now you need to copy the text go to Edit - Find and replace, paste your text, replace it, and then click done which results to closing the window.
So you must reopen the window every time for the next replacement.
You can have this option as it is in InDesign where you can copy and paste text while the window is open and the window stays open after you done replacing. Also it will be more convenient to be able to add the panel at the dock.

Select objects underneath
Sometimes there are duplicate objects below your most top object. There should be a command or feature that lets you see/ select duplicate geometries right below your top shapes.

Make Undo feature to not apply to selected objects
Basically what the title says,
An ability to isolate objects or lock certain layers where the undo feature will not apply to.
There have been a number of times where I start to work on a complex graphic with separate parts to it where I later realize I made a mistake on a piece i did earlier, so instead of saving the project, undo everything, save again and re import the previous saved file or other copy paste methods, we can just select the objects where the undo feature will not apply to, to keep the progress of the work…1 vote -

Sarebbe bello avere aggiunta la funzione "copia attributi" / "incolla attributi" nel testo così come negli oggetti, quindi uno shortcut da tastiera per, ad esempio, attribuire un font o aggiungere un grassetto o corsivo a singole parole all'interno di un testo (FreeHand lo faceva ed era comodissimo)

Disable smart guides to some specific object/layer

After using Illustrator for quite some time, I found there has one function I need the most.
Which is to disable smart guides to some specific object/layer.Smart guides are amazing but I found that they won't work well if I had a crazy vector texture background.

11 votesThe latest Beta now has a dedicated option for this in Preferences > Smart Guides section, in Limit Snapping area. We can now choose if we want Snap within Entire Canvas (as it behaves normally) or the Active Artboard.
This is a WIP feature, and the team desperately needs your feedback on it. Please test it and comment if it works as expected (or not).
