Export elements / assets in more formats than default ones, maybe ALL. Plugin or option needed
Any way or plugin to export elements / assets in other formats than default ones by Illustrator? Especially DXF files. It's killing the workflow to jump to the dropdown every single time...

Rename embedded image
I want an ability to rename an embedded image.
Perhaps I don’t like the nonsense somebody else used to name it before embedding.
Or I just want to give it a name in Links, to be able to distinguish them better (and no, renaming an item in Layers does not do that).And please consider the other similar request about renaming a linked image:

Buttons in Pathfinder panel should be disabled when nothing is selected
If you have nothing selected, Pathfinder still have all buttons active, despite clicking one will give out an error message.
What’s a point? Why shout? Why not display a shallow message (like the one we get when a live shape gets expanded)?
Why not disable the buttons in the first place when a selection is empty?11 votes -

Saving from Ai to PDF do not show the link image
When saving Ai to PDF, the link image is not shown in the saved PDF.

Clear guides should delete guides in transparency masks too
Just took me ages to work out why i couldnt remove guides from a file and discovered they existed only within various transparency masks and had to go through each mask individually to remove them. Clear guides feature should remove those too, surely?!

Auto synchronised text boxes for copy
Have two or more separate text boxes synchronise to the same text when either one is edited.
When creating numerous different sized online banner advertisements, each with multiple copy variations, it would be beneficial if I could synchronise the copy of one across all creative versions.

Please Fix Image Trace
Image trace has been fairly low fidelity since I upgraded from CS5 to CC, but in the last few years especially I've noticed an extreme downturn in the quality of the basic settings for live trace. In previous versions(CS5, CS6) the basic settings were high quality enough to provide good traces of artwork. I used to be able to live trace type without much of an issue if the image was large enough; I don't even do that now because even if it's set at 1500dpi the type will come in with irregular shapes or curves that should be straight/straight…

Find / Replace font... to include adjusting font and text size
I would like to see a capability added to the find/replace font... feature to include finding and replacing text sizes throughout a document. I make a lot of repetitive text throughout many artboards and sometimes I have to adjust the text size of a particular font. In addition I sometimes have mixed fonts in a textbox and have to adjust the size of one or a few of them separately without changing the size of the other fonts. That would be a super time-saving feature too.

Illustrator on Web now has Quick Pen tool. Desktop Ai needs one too
Illustrator on Web got this Quick Pen tool (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-on-the-web-beta-discussions/introducing-the-new-quick-pen-tool-beta-in-illustrator-on-the-web-beta/td-p/14146260) in October of 2023, very similar to the recently abandoned Spiro Tool plugin, to Tangent Arc tool by Graffix, and to some of Astute Graphics’ plugins.
This is not a replacement to any one of them, and to the Illustrator’s native Curvature, but it’s an interesting tool to have at desktop as well.

Live align
With this live align feature, you could have two objects maintain their alignment properties even if you change one of the objects. For example, if you have a rectangle and text inside it. You should be able to align the text to the rectangle. Later, when you change the text or change the rectangle, it should keep the alignment settings persistent. So, if you made the rectangle longer, the text would remain centered on the longer rectangle.

Shortcut/button for the "Enter isolation mode"-function
After Illustrator changed the place where to put pasted objects (before the objects where put in the selected layer, now the objects are put in a new layer at the top), I use the "Enter Isolations mode"-function a lot, to get the pasted objects the right place. I know there is a button, but it doesn't always show. So I would really like a shortcut for this function. Or make a button in the properties panel. Or both. Please.
1 voteDisabling 'Paste Remembers Layers' in the Layers panel’s flyout menu solved the problem with pasting in place into a selected layer, therefore a specialized hotkey to the layer isolation is no longer required for the user.

Change the cursor for Artboard Tool when a click is going to create a new object-sized artboard
When using Artboard Tool, you can do several things with a simple click.
1. Select an artboard under the cursor
2. Deselect an artboard if there is no artboards under the cursor
3. Create an artboard which size is the same as the object you click — but ONLY if the object is inside of the already selected artboard OR if the place you click is not inside of any artboard.This #3 case prevents deselecting artboards efficiently in cases when you don’t have 'naked canvas' inside of the viewport. A hotkey to switch gradient types, Linear/Radial/Freeform
Shift + > and Shift + < are not taken.
We’d assigned them ourselves, but guess what — you forgot to expose these in Keyboard Shortcuts. As 90% of all other commands and buttons we have in panels. But hey, we introduce new features... finish old ones already.

Auto layout is a property you can add to shapes and many things, to create designs that grow to fill or shrink to fit, and reflow as their contents change.
Also can add padding and margin , this help us when we design C.V., Menu, branding guideline & ...ect

Modifying paragraph style doesn't trigger the unsaved changes flag
28.2 on macOS 12.6.5
Illustrator doesn't prompt to save changes to paragraph styles if no other changes are made to a document.
To reproduce:
1. Create a document, add a paragraph style, save and close.
2. Reopen document, modify the paragraph style, close document.Expected:
At the end of step 2, when closing the document, Illustrator should ask if I want to save my changes, but it does not. After modifying the paragraph style, I can also see that the asterisk (*) does not appear next to the filename on the current tab, which normally indicates unsaved changes.2 votes -
