Estimate file size before PNG and other formats export
I would love to save an estimate of file size before exporting PNGs, that way I could adjust the resolution to suit my needs. I would be really useful for exporting files for web for example.

Delete all / individual color chips in Recent Colors sections
Recently Ai added Recent Color sections (the request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/44772598) to Swatches and Color panels (with an ability to disable them — thanks!)
Unfortunately, we have no control over the section. Once a color gets added, it stays until Prefs reset.Sometimes I misclick and create almost identical colors and have to hover later to understand which one is correct... or want to remove some chips to keep some older ones... or wipe everything to be less distracted, because I switch projects.
I’d like to have an ability to hold Opt/Alt or Shift and delete these chips with a click.…

Advanced Image Trace Results for Cartoon/Comic Book Outline
Hello, I'd like to see enhancements done to the Image Trace feature. I am a cartoonist and draw comics. Whenever I scan my drawings in I see that the digital copies show the outlines rather jagged. I began looking for a way to have the outline show smooth. That's when I found out about Image Trace in Illustrator.
Now the Image Trace feature does smooth out the lines, however, it will merge the lines in a way I'd rather not have. I've tried many different options and have not landed on the exact look I want, unless I first do…

Make Free Transform scale corners, strokes, and effects by default, like it used to
In the past, 99% of the time I used Free Transform was to resize objects without making them look different. I realize that it also has perspective+distort options, but I only use those occasionally, and I very frequently switched between the Selection tool and Free Transform depending on how I wanted to resize an object. Now every time I want to do that, instead of simply hitting the V and E shortcuts, I need to go to the Transform panel and check/uncheck 2 boxes. Rotate bounding box only

Ai should give us a mode to freely rotate the bounding box the way we need, to zero or any angle.
There should be a way to quickly align it to a chosen straight segment or even a point.Affinity Designer has a feature that can be used for this purpose, Select > Cycle / Set Selection Box — even though it doesn’t exactly does the same thing.

Create new document using current document settings
I would like to be able to create a new document using the current settings in an open document; artboard measurements, bleed, color swatches, etc.
For example, when I am creating logos I often iterate on multiple artboards until the client is happy with the final output. I would like to then create a new document so that I can copy/paste the final, approved, logo into a new doc so that I have a clean file I can share or link in InDesign documents.

【要望】文字組み更新機能が本当にいらない&邪魔です。
せめて無効に出来るとか設定追加してほしいです。
他デザイナーから受け取った最終データを書き出した際にハングル文字が混じった状態になっていました。
ウィンドウも毎回邪魔ですし余計な機能です。
せっかくレイアウトに合わせて文字組みした状態なのに勝手に変換されて崩れるのも困りますし、バグも多いし全然嬉しいと思った場面がないです。何か新しい取り組みの一環なのか知りませんが
このような機能を追加するなら有効/無効が選択できる状態で実装してください。

Move artboards with the Selection Tool the same as Photoshop
In Photoshop, artboards can be moved simply by selecting the artboard name above the artboard. The same functionality would be useful in Illustrator, instead of having to select the Artboard Tool.

Snap Bézier handles to consistent lengths
Would it be possible to add more precise settings regarding the snap behavior of the Pen tool’s anchor points, especially for the handles? This feature exists in Figma and is very useful for ensuring that handles have the same length, distance, and alignment.
In addition, these handles are often difficult to click. They should be made more accessible, either by increasing their size or by enlarging them by hover.

Image Trace is still not functioning properly. The 'Simplify' feature is still missing. Forcing Simplify should not be allowed.

Allow to make folders in Appearance Panel
Appearance are the most powerful feature of Illustrator, but the learning curve is difficult and for Advanced User it's difficult to manage and remember what are doing what in a Complex Appearance (cf. Screenshot where I had to use Colors to identify properties…)
Please allow to have folders in the panel (like in Ps: "Pass Trough" blend mode, knockout, vector mask based on "Convert to shape" with 9 points proxy…)
It will be more easier to understand Complex Appearance samples and for Advanced users, it will be way more efficient.

Update / Preview Grid on canvas when the grid and Constrain Angle values change in Preferences, before hitting OK
I use grids all the time and I have to change the grid settings to fit my tasks regularly.
When I do this, the rendered grid updates only when I hit OK, and it makes choosing the step less convenient — if I’m not happy with the resulting grid cell size, I’d have to open Prefs one more, navigate to the section, try again.
Same goes with Constrain Angle — changing it won’t make the grid rotate until OK is hit.
Sure, it’d need a Preview option, to fit the way it works in other dialogs, enabled by default.2 votes -
Arrowhead style should be retained so I can continue drawing lines with arrowheads
Arrowheads are way too difficult to apply. If I want to draw multiple lines with an arrowhead style, I have to keep going back to stroke palette and keep applying the arrowhead style, OR use the eyedropper tool. This is inefficient. Being able to set my line weight, color, etc. and then choose arrowhead style and continue to draw multiple lines using the style would be VERY useful and a big time saver.

Kinda like... 9-slice symbol scaling, more like, locked side scaling
9-slice symbol scaling works FOR CORNERS. But can you make it so that the TOP, BOTTOM, OR SIDES can stay in place and you can just make the length of an item longer? It's not always about Rounded corners, sometimes it's about an ARCHED TOP or CURVED SIDE, which is static but box needs to grow. This is important to me because I'm in signage and every template we work with can be for example: 6" wide or 8" wide and vary in length or width. Illustrator and Photoshop show fractional CMYK color values differently
I have a CMYK document, and it has a linked image in it, with an intentionally chosen profile, with some specific colors set for the background, and these have to be the part of the background, because of blending modes used.
Now I need to grab those colors form the clear parts of the background to quickly transfer them into vector part of the design. But when I try — Ai lies about values.Instead of

I get
69.8-14.9-0-0
0-34.9-85.1-0
