Libraries should allow expanding / collapsing all groups with a button
25 bonus points if we also get an Expand/Collapse all groups button.

Add a "starred" section in CC Libraries for the ability to save libraries at top of list (not just recent).
Currently, CC Libraries lists a selection of "recent" libraries used, and then lists libraries in alphabetical order.
Proposition: to create an option to "star" libraries in order to permanently save them in a section at the top (until "unstarred" and be removed from the starred list).
Why: Working at an agency, we are constantly cycling through a long list of libraries on a daily basis, and the libraries I have used most recently are not always the libraries I use most often. I am constantly scrolling through to find the library I need and it's almost never in the recent…

Scatter Brush Options
I would like to see a Transparency Scatter Brush Options added to the current list (size, spacing, scatter, rotation). In addition to the usual Control Methods in the dropdown menu, it would be neat to have a way for Transparency to match Size option. (e.g. 50% size -> 50% opacity.

Reinstate the Full Retype Editing Functionality
I have been a dedicated user of Adobe products and have greatly appreciated the advanced features that facilitate creative workflows. One such feature was the "Retype" function which allowed users to edit text directly within images. This feature was incredibly useful for many of us in the creative and professional fields, as it streamlined our processes and enhanced productivity.
However, the Retype feature now seems limited to only identifying similar fonts rather than enabling direct text editing within an image. This limitation has significantly impacted the utility of this tool.
Could you please consider reinstating the full functionality of Retype…

Bi-color contour brush
I want to suggest to the Adobe Illustrator developers the creation of a brush that allows for precise adjustments of both the line width and the outline width in millimeters, and that, when lines intersect or overlap, it combines the elements and creates a continuous outline around them. This would allow you to create patches for milling machines.

Allow to reposition buttons in the Align panel
Recently Ai Beta added the Full Align button in the Align panel, following this request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/34796770
Works perfectly, great icon for it too — my only extra beg is that the order of the align buttons can be amended, so I can drag them into an order that works for ease of use :)

Make arrowheads have a dedicated fly-out palette
Arrowheads are too difficult to select. Having a fly-out panel so I can quickly choose and apply them would be a great addition for technical illustrators.

A mode for Free Transform tool to hug selected points tightly
Affinity has Transform mode for selected points (see the GIF).
Figma recently announced a similar thing — https://x.com/figma/status/2018778936482935124Illustrator meanwhile allows to use Scale, Rotate, and other dedicated transform tools for a partial selection. No bounding box is allowed when Direct Selection is active.
We can pick Free Transform and use a familiar frame to transform the partial selection... but this frame hugs the entire object. This can be useful in some cases, but not that handy in others -—like when you need to work with a rather small part of a larger artwork.

Schriftanzeigeaktualisierungen beim Nachladen von fehlenden Schriften inclusive Aktualisierung bei Texten mit Silbentrennung.
Wenn Schriften nachgeladen werden, sei es manuell oder durch PlugIns, wird die Anzeige in Textfeldern mit Silbentrennung bezüglich der nachgeladenen Schrift NICHT aktualisiert.
Für die Anzeige ist die aktive Schrift + die eingestellte Sprache + das Wörterbuch von Bedeutung. Bei Änderung der aktiven Schrift durch nachladen, wird die Silbentrennung nicht automatisch aktualisiert.
Was zu falschen Umbrüchen im Dokument führen kann, welche nicht immer sofort bemerkt werden.
Eine Aktualisieren auch der Silbentrennung nach Laden einer Schrift bei einem geöffneten Dokument ist daher wünschenswert.3 votes -

Please bring back the search function for "Shared with you" files in Adobe Illustrator 2026
My team uses the Adobe cloud to store and share files across the team. Looking up for older files shared is now very inconvenient as the search function for "Shared with you" files in Adobe Illustrator 2026 has been removed.
Please bring it back.

Make UI text size scalable
Allow for scaling of text in the UI, especially the Layers panel.
I have to strain to read the layer descriptions. Since I work a lot in After Effects I have to name all my layers. It would be easier to work if I could just glance over instead of working hard to read the little font sizes. Add "Go to Object" in layers panel, not just "Select Object"
Would love "Go to Object" option when selecting an object to find it in the layers panel. Currently, it only has the option to "Find Object" from the menu. I then have to scroll through sometimes hundreds of items within that layer to find the little dot.

DATA MERGE . File Names from CSV

It would be tremendously helpful, if we could name exported files via the CSV-file used for data merge, so we can have actual full names, instead „Data Set 1“, … „Data Set 217“.ISSUE
Data Merge exports are being exported without customized file names, which is a major time issue, when dealing with large scale data merge exports.SUGGESTED SOLUTION
Giving users in the VARIABLES -> VARIABLE OPTIONS menu the option to assign „FILE NAME“ to a variable via TYPE, and make this accessible to the ACTIONS when exporting via BATCH.WHY

Make Intertwine into a tool, available from a tool panel
Objects on Path is a tool, and it creates a dedicated object... and does nothing else! all the operations with this new object are performed using the Selection tool...
Meanwhile, an Intertwine object would need a command, Object > Intertwine > Edit (or a button in the Control panel) to be edited — which just enabled the hidden tool! Make it a real one!5 votes -
Improve Trim Mark Settings When Exporting PDFs

In the Japanese printing industry, it is common practice to require both corner crop marks and center crop marks when exporting PDFs.
Currently, in Illustrator’s PDF export settings, enabling the “Trim Marks” option only adds corner marks. To include center crop marks, users must also check the “Registration Marks” option, which results in registration marks being added as well.
However, these registration marks are generally disliked and considered unnecessary in Japanese print workflows. There needs to be an option to add only corner and center crop marks without registration marks.

Zig Zag effect Ridges per Path option
Illustrator allows us to set ridges per segment when applying a live Zig Zag effect.
Cool, we can use it creatively... sometimes... in very rare occasions...But most of times we need the frequency to be uniform for the whole path, like Roughen does.
