Asset name in Export panel = Symbol name
It would be a huge time saver for a symbol to be named in the assets panel after the name of the symbol instead of the name of the instance.

Shaping (intersection and trimming) to work normally
It would be very nice to have shaping tools (intersection and trimming) to work as expected.
For this:
• When intersecting, leave both input objects (do not remove) and inherit the properties of the last selected object• When trimming (cutting objects) cut the last selected object with the first selected. Leave both objects. Maintain the properties of the last selected object.
Very simple - the 'front-minus-back', 'expand appearance' and 'alt-clicking' tricks are confusing annoying and over-complicated.

not so much a feature request as a request for a learning resource: Adobe to create a set of online flashcards to memorize Ai techniques
flashcards to learn to memorize the very many Ai techniques, at all levels.

Eyedropper shortcut
If I have a box with a gradient stroke (as an example) and I want to then fill it, if I use the eyedropper to grab the color from another object, it overrides and deletes the stoke. I would like to be able to use the eyedropper on fill or stroke without deleting it's counterpart. Right now it's a long process of clicking off my shape, eyedropping the color, copying the color value, reselecting the object, double clicking the fill or stroke, and pasting in the value. It adds up to a lot of time lost for something that should be much more simple.

1 voteTo make Eyedropper pick and apply only fill, without modifying the stroke, you need to open the tool’s options, and uncheck the ‘Focal Stroke’ option in the left column. This will force Illustrator to ignore the stroke from the source object, and your target object will keep its original stroke.
Use other options there to fine tune the tool to your needs.
There is a similar resolved request that is about the same thing — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38241262

I usually use graphics from Libraries and Symbols to sharing icons, logotypes, and e.t.c. I would like to lock size ratio to these graphics.

Can't place the anchor point at the spot I want
Anchor point keeps on placing at the spot I do not want. If I click on the canvas to place an anchor point, it places distances away from where I wish to place.
1 voteMost probably caused by having the Snap to Grid option enabled (or other snapping options) in View menu

I have found effects and transparency to be problematic
I have found effects and transparency to be problematic in the past for print, and svg unless you convert the graphic to raster. Which then defeats the benefits of vector.
What if you had a feature that could take the colors used in the effect or transparency and convert that to a basic gradient. "convert effect to gradient" or "convert transparency to gradient"

Radial interface (popup) for previewing ALL THE SWATCHES.... S I M U L T A N E O U S L Y.
If a user wants to preview ALL the swatches in the swatch library at once, the time and sequence of events to do so is extremely unnecessarily tedious.
"Preview all swatches" button -> BAM: radial view of all swatches on screen. (doesn't even have to be legible. text can be upside down. Maybe rotate it with the mouse wheel. Click one swatch set -> then Bam! That's the swatch docked to the panel. All the others dissapear. or "Unsummon the swatches" button.

Support for Microsoft SCUP
We have invested very large in SCCM infrastructure to support Global distribution of client applications. To speed up distribution of Adobe product versions we have analyzed Adobe Update Server solution.
Based on our global environment that would require an enormous investment create a Adobe Update Server at every site location. We would like Adobe to add support for Microsoft SCUM, that would speed up product distribution without very large investment.

A tool to drag and make objects 3D
A tool that would be used to click and drag an object into varying aspects of 3D, rather than guessing and drowning in menus with the normal 3D effects.

One more thing
Can the context overlay that appears as you move an object show the absolute X and Y as well as the deltas? Thanks

3 improvements for general non-print UI
Would it be possible to enable global pixel snapping-possibly assigned to a modifier key combination when moving things directly(not via a dialog)?
Could you have rounded corners as a parametric property when unexpanded, with separate W & H values, (expressed as PX and % if it doesn't dilute the general paradigm)?
When transforming (particularly SCALE), could the bounding midpoints be shown, maybe in a different colour, if their position on their respective axes is outside of the viewport, to enable grabbing/moving them? So you don't have to zoom out and lose accuracy?
Thanks

Better drivers for monoprice drawing tablet
Drawing with monoprice drawing tablets causes random drawing effects. Trying to draw a straight line will cause loops, be off screen, etc. Only with brush tool currently. Drawing will occur without pressure just hovering above the tablet.

Emoji Support
I tried to type the emoji on my Windows keyboard and it comes up as boxes. I can type them in Excel-- it seems like I should be able to in illustrator too!

Stroked Object Transform Bug Constrain Error Adobe Illustrator CC 2017-2018
When using the transform panel to resize an object or multiple objects, it goes without saying if you select constrain, there should be confidence it will scale respectively. A circle remains a circle, a square a square, a 16:9 Graphic stays 16:9 etc. etc.
Unfortunately I have noticed a very concerning bug where if one of the objects has a stroke, it will not transform constrained. I noticed because the object I grabbed had a perfect circle, that seems maybe 5% horizontally compressed afterward.
I have done this screencast to show the bug does not occur on non-stroked objects- only on transforms applied to ones with strokes.
I have no idea how long this has been the case, but I have done the screencast on a new document to replicate the findings in hope a patch can be done asap.
I also have AI CC 2018, so will perform the same check also and post if not resolved.
Here is the AI CC 2017 screencast https://youtu.be/q0YK-OOdA5s
