Copying text styles whilst still using text tool
Can a better way of picking a text style other than using the picker tool as this takes you out of text editing mode which is really inconvenient especially when you have selected a text box which is several layers below another item. I would be really great if whilst I was in the text box I could use something like the Ctrl+Shift key to get the curser to change to the Picker tool so that I can copy an existing text style from nearby.

Double tap to expand window
Double tapping the chrome on top of a window should expand window to fit screen as default in Macos (Zoom window command). This used to work for all Adobe software but now there is no easy way to make windows utilize all available screen reals estate (without going into full screen where other app’s windows are not available.

Allow pattern scale and position to be locked to objects...
I know that there is a setting when moving and scaling to apply the translations to patterns or not - but I'd like to be able to define that setting on an object-by-object basis.

Scrollable tabs and more usable Layers panel
I would like if the Ai interface was less "cluttered" and "manual" to use.
Specifically, as in the case of having many tabs open than they fit in the viewport, I have to click on the double chevrons (>>) to only be able to open one file at a time. Rather, would you guys consider making it scrollable? Or have the Layers panel open like Adobe Xd (aids renaming and hiding/locking)?
As for a more "usable" Layers panel, I would appreciate if the panel could make it easier to name and select layers. For example, if I have an item…

make that tiny little ANCHOR and HANDLER bigger. I'm tired of failing to click that tiny rectangle every single second. PLEASE. I BEG YOU
1 voteThe size of handles can be changed in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, using the Size slider.
As for the selection tolerance for these — the problem with it is known and reported in a separate bug report: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/20358952-selection-tolerance-for-selecting-handles

file>export>export as... still lists Flash as an option
How long ago was Flash rebranded to Animate? Five years now?
The "Flash (SWF)" option in the Export As... dialogue should be "Animate (SWF)".

Measurements are not working correctly
If you want to make a new path with 100mm x 100 mm in dimensions and and do that via the transform palette then the path shows an incorrect size (100,013 mm x 100,009 mm) but only if the path has an outline. If there is just a colour filling then the measurement is correct.
That should be corrected quickly.OS X 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.2.3
1 voteThere's an option 'Used Preview Bounds' for that in Preferences, which toggles the behavior. When it’s on, Illustrator includes stroke weight into dimensions, and does not when it’s off.

Please give the option to keep Libraries palette open when you close all of your documents. I often start work with an asset in my library.
Please give us the option to keep the libraries palette open when all documents are closed. I often start work with items in my library and it is annoying to have to reopen the palette when I close the project I just finished and am ready to start a new one.

photoshop distortion feauture
could you please add a distortion feature such as the one in photoshop for clipping mask objects and linked images on illustrator? I know that illustrator already has one called 'envelope distort' but I find it difficult to use.

レイヤの表示状態を保存するカスタム表示の機能向上
カスタム表示を一度設定したあとに、レイヤを追加したり分けたりすることが多々あります。その都度、一度「表示の編集」から削除して「新規表示」に追加しなければならず、手間がかかります。AutoCADにも同じようにレイヤの表示状態を保存する機能がありますが、あちらは一度設定したあとでも表示状態を変更して同名で保存すれば上書きができますし、名前をつけた設定ごとに表示状態の編集もできます。大変便利です。
ここまで出来なくとも良いので、せめて同名で保存した場合の上書き機能を付けてほしいです。1 vote -
Is it possible to get a preview screen of your document when you look at your recently opened documents
I always really like the previews when you open illustrator. Once you opened one document you can not look at the previews anymore, because you have to select a recently opened document via the file menu. This means you have to rely on your names, which can get confusing when you have multiple version of one document.

Spell check artboard navigation
Please allow Illustrator to visually navigate across artboards to show the suspect word when spell checking.

The features I am looking for
*subject tracing like Photoshop and masking like Photoshop and bring it to illustrator.

Crop command embedding linked images
I would be thankful if linked images remain linked (instead of being embedded after using the crop command). I would like to believe that this can be made possible. This is the normal behaviour in other graphic design software.
1 voteIf you want to keep a cropped image as a live linked image, you should Clip it instead. Press the Mask button (in Control or Properties panel) and Ai will create and select a rectangular path with the same dimensions. Transform this path with any tool you like or with the bounding box, and the image inside will remain unembedded.
Crop command, on the other hand, is intended specifically for 'physical' cropping, and since Ai won’t edit the original placed image, it gets embedded and then cropped.
Just use the method you need.
