Option to disable scroll bar to make the working area bigger.
I do not need the information in the scroll bar and all the information stored there.
Just add a little tick box in the preference menu to just not show them. I want my Illustrator clean.2 votes -
Add an option to "place" an artboard inside an artboard of the same drawing.
Could it be possible to place an artboard in another one?
I have a particular workflow in which I have to create an illustration to be printed, and I have a "technical drawing" with some dimensions and comments related to the illustration on another page.
In order to have only one document to keep both illustration and technical drawing synched, it could be fine to have this feature.2 votes -
Smooth Tool slider applies to a partial selection. Make a way to quickly apply it to the full selection
According to Madelyn Renaud (form here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/938463/suggestions/46987777):
'I also have not been able to find the option for a global selection vs local, so the tool continues to isolate a single edge, forcing me to return to the selection tool and re-select the other elements to begin smoothing again. It's horrible and has made a smooth workflow into something clunky and annoying. Please change the smooth tool back to the way it was before!'
Indeed, when using the slider together with Smooth tool, Ai selects the portion of the path which has just been affected by the tool. The slider then applies to this partial selection only. If one choses to apply this to the whole path instead, they are forced to reselect the whole path, and there is no a way to quickly do that with the slider itself.
Sure, one can just learn to do that, but in heat of editing you just can easily miss some points are deselected.

Bleed 5 mm
Buenas tardes, mi sugerencia es que por default al guardar un pdf el illustrator y el indesign, venga con 5 mm de sangrado en lugar de 0 (cero). Trabajo en preimpresión y el error mas común de los clientes es que envian los pdfs sin sangrado lo cual implica tener que volver a editar el archivo cuando se podria evitar si por default el bleed vendria activado en 5 mm

Introduce an option for for 3D and Materials to extrude only forward or backward instead of both ways at once
The extrude effect seems to be extruding along the Z axis in both directions simultaneously. Maybe there should be an option to fix the front face and extrude it backwards (or fix it as a back face and extrude it forward) so that it would be possible to match the same isometric view as the original flat vector in a graphic style.

Unembedding Multiple Images keep only one of them selected on canvas
Since 27.8 we can unembed several images at once, if we check 'Unembed all selected images to this folder' option in Unembed dialog (requested here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/20608015).
But if I do this, I get only ONE of them selected after the unembedding process is finished. I am seeing the last one gets selected briefly and then the first one, and stays like this. Why not all previously selected?

Live preview missing in many tools
In these 2 tools:
— Create Object Mosaic
— Transform Effect
I see a live preview toggle is missing.If the development team can add it, then it will make them more intuitive and smooth.
The Transform effect has Preview only, however a A LIVE PREVIEW would be better and faster.

Allow to hold Opt/Alt while using Lasso tool to toggle freeform / polygonal modes, like in Photoshop
Make lasso tool like Photoshop so you can use the Option click with more detail.

GUIDELINES
Full transform options for GUIDELINES. I want infinite DIAGONALS!

We all know math is the basis of all good design work. (Critical for branding) I can't count the number of times I've messed up manual diagonal spacing. It's a sticking point for me, especially when working on deadline.Being able to set up a template of guidelines (in the same way that "workspaces" functions) could be beneficial for different types of jobs.
Other things that would be nice:
-Golden Ratio guideline (also Branding essential)
-Colour of guidelines matching layer colour (much more helpful than getting an 80% gray or yellow bounding boxes)
-I'm sure there are plenty of other kinds of guidelines that are critical to different fields.I realize we can all throw our custom guidelines onto a locked layer, but that's not the point. The traditional guidelines are second nature in our workflow. Maintaining that workflow is essential to integrating new features and enhancing the experience for us right?

Spend less time developing those other useless app and develop illustrator for mobile. Its frustrating that it isn’t a thing!

Add a triangle to the shapes tool apart from the star.
I'd LOVE if there was a triangle tool other than using the star tool to make it easier and quicker. I make a lot of signs with arrows and it'd be SO nice. THX!
