This is a normal and expected behavior (sadly). Both document are in CMYK. While CMYK > RGB conversion is pretty straightforward and always gives the same result, RGB > CMYK one (and this is what happens when you try to paste an RGB HEX code for a color in the second doc) is converted anew, following your current conversion profile. You don’t have to create a second doc to test it even.
Welcome to color management and printing, where one and the same RGB color can be presented with many variations of color inks in CMYK. Won’t be fixed ever, and it works the same across all apps which allow CMYK.

Generative ai doesn't show up after update
I updated Illustrator to 28.0 version, saw new features, tried tutorial and... nothing (see snapshot)

Stroke Cap
Stroke Cap display error. The cap is displayed as a rounded cap even when projecting and butt cap are selected.
1 voteAll outlines here are closed path, therefore Butt Cap does no affect them — it applies only to open paths.
All outer points in these are smooth, therefore Miter Join does not affect them — since there are no corners this setting applies to.
To see sharp corners here you’d need to modify the outlines to actually have sharp corners, for the stroke to follow.

Align text to Artboard
When I Select text "Arabic or English" and align it to Artboard center , The alignment move to the right of the center. it just happen to Text and more obvious to Arabic text.

Make the share button bigger
I think the blue share button in the top bar doesn’t attract enough attention. A solution could be to enlarge the size of the button. (See mockup). Also, consider a brighter color or blinking!

Also, you can even make it less blue, if you go to Preferences > User Interface and toggle Share Button option from Blue to Match Brightness.
The same option in Photoshop is named Interface > Neutral Color Mode.

Unable to create "New Folder" when saving file on Windows 11 Pro PC!
When working on a job, I get to the point of wanting to create a New Folder to save in. However when the File Directory comes up in Illustrator, I click the New Folder button and nothing happens! Its as if it is not active at all.

Not Responding. Crashing when I go to make a pattern
Operating system: Windows 10
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
31.85GB RAMCurrently in the process of creating a 40cm x 40cm all over surface pattern design print. So far everything has been fine. My total file size is 435mb.
When I select my imagery ready to turn in to Object > Pattern > Make
Illustrator decides that it can't process this, freezes and crashes.
I am on the most up to date versions of Illustrator and drivers for my RAM.
I have also tried simplifying my pathways to no avail.Does anyone else know…

Illustrator v26.1 - save file after assigned color profile does not work

Windows 10 EnterpriseWhen opening an illustrator file created under a previous version of illustrator that was saved and/or created without a color profile assigned (not color managed), with color settings set to inform/warn the user of the missing profile, assigning the profile at file open when the prompt is displayed or clicking OK with "leave as is (don't color manage)" selected and then selecting edit > assign profile and assigning a color profile...
then saving the document with ctrl+s or File > save does not save the file with the assigned color profile. Opening the file again…

Error to open/import .DXF format archives in latest update version (error 2067)
I work in textile area, and we need to import .dxf archives from Audaces program. I've never had problems, until the latest update version. I can't import this extension, it appears the unknown error message number "2067".
17 votesIllustrator uses Autocad library licensed from Autodesk for open/import DXF files. The DXF/DWG files that are showing error during open/import are mal-formed, they are not created adhering to file format specification. Autocad application also does not open these files.
Illustrator versions 24 and below use to open/import these files as the library used was a different one and it did not strictly check the dxf/dwg files for conformance. The same library did not had support for the some of the recent OS upgrades, resulting in Illustrator switching to Autocad library from Autodesk for open/import of dxf/dwg files.
Please report such files to the application that create these files, so that the same can be fixed by them in future release.
Any of the dxf/dwg file that could open in Autocad but not in Illustrator then those are bugs that will be fixed. If you have any such case, please report…

Illustrator 25.3 breaks extensions
The Illustrator 25.3.0 and Illustrator 25.3.1 updates prevent several extensions to launch and to run properly, such as our extension Fontself Maker.
The CEP team suggested a workaround to bypass the initial blocker issue, but there are additional critical bugs that prevent users to run their tools as expected.

3 votesThe changes are intended as part of the new CEF update. These are not issues on the CEP side but more security restrictions that came with the new CEF update. The workarounds (https://github.com/Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources/issues/367) should be good for the plugin developers in the short term, but for the long term, plugin developers should make changes to ensure that they are following the latest web standards for cross-site workflows.

Color changes when saving as .eps
Saving out a pattern with a purple background as .eps turns out as black when previewing the file on the computer or in pdf-reader and when opened on other computers. Opening the file back into illustrator still shows everything as purple.

AI 2020 V.24 Unknown Error while saving in AI "when a PDF joboption file is present in the adobe PDF preferences folder"
Just updated to V.24.
There is a critical bug while saving on an external hard drive or a network storage. The saving process ends with a generic error and the file just DISAPPEAR from the server.I'm on MacOS 10.14.6

Replacing image does not match position of original
When replacing an image, the placement of the new image is in a (seemingly) random position on the canvas rather than in the same position as the original image.

Object Transform Reflect default bug
Small one, but the reflect tool doesn't seem to be saving last input, i.e. usually it will remember whether you last used reflect Horizontal, Vertical or Angle, but now it defaults seemingly at random. With perhaps a bit of a bias to Angle. Which I don't think I've actually ever used.
25 votesWe could not reproduce this issue due to a lack of information. It may appear this happens very easily for people who face this issue, this may be due to specific hardware setup, etc.

Align to pixel grid not working
I'll have a shape like a rectangle that is, for example, 84px x 118.9999px (according to every panel with those dimensions). If I click "align to pixel grid," nothing happens. The expected behavior is for the 118.9999px height to become 119px. I run into similar issues with X and Y coordinates as well as W and H dimensions.
