Error to open/import .DXF format archives in latest update version (error 2067)
I work in textile area, and we need to import .dxf archives from Audaces program. I've never had problems, until the latest update version. I can't import this extension, it appears the unknown error message number "2067".

Illustrator uses Autocad library licensed from Autodesk for open/import DXF files. The DXF/DWG files that are showing error during open/import are mal-formed, they are not created adhering to file format specification. Autocad application also does not open these files.
Illustrator versions 24 and below use to open/import these files as the library used was a different one and it did not strictly check the dxf/dwg files for conformance. The same library did not had support for the some of the recent OS upgrades, resulting in Illustrator switching to Autocad library from Autodesk for open/import of dxf/dwg files.
Please report such files to the application that create these files, so that the same can be fixed by them in future release.
Any of the dxf/dwg file that could open in Autocad but not in Illustrator then those are bugs that will be fixed. If you have any such case, please report the same as a separate issue.

I have a solution that seems to work for windows users. the issue seems to be with 64bit versions of Illustrator. 32bit is no longer being developed but is still downloadable for cc2019 on windows. That version is working for me, I think mac stopped supporting 32bit some time ago so trying to find a version for mac might be tricky.

Hi Rama - it is crazy this problem is still going on. This is preventing many people from using Illustrator.
Where are we able to download Illustrator 24?

There are many cad software for apparel production that save file in DXF, they are different from Autocad format but a lot of people think need to open this file to import different pattern with size grading. Lectra and Gerber export DXF to share pattern with other application. I'm stuck to illustrator 25.01 version because all new version open this DXF file loosing the group information and this is a very big problem for who work in apparel world.

HI,
After 24.3.2 version we have updated dxf/dwg support. We have changed reading/writing library of dxf/dwg. Now we are using Autocad library, who is original inventor of dxf/dwg file format. So, the files which are not opening in Autocad cannot be opened in AI. If incase there is any file which is opening in Autocad and AI is unable to open it then please feel free to reach us out. Hope this helps. -

I can't open dwg files of autocad educational verison 2020 to illustrator 2021. Dxf files neither. It appears the "unknown error 2067".

can they take a look back to the beginning of 2021 the .dxf still opened then
the new 25.20.1 did not fix the problem
my entire work load requires the .dxf import
