Stroke Cap
Stroke Cap display error. The cap is displayed as a rounded cap even when projecting and butt cap are selected.

All outlines here are closed path, therefore Butt Cap does no affect them — it applies only to open paths.
All outer points in these are smooth, therefore Miter Join does not affect them — since there are no corners this setting applies to.
To see sharp corners here you’d need to modify the outlines to actually have sharp corners, for the stroke to follow.

This is not an error. This font has no sharp points that can make the difference, all points (except for inner connections which do not contribute here) are smooth.
Take a look at this image: the path on the left has sharp outer points, the path on the right does not — but both have the Miter Join selected. There are just no CORNERS in the second path, that is sharp connections, the font is smoothed out originally.
