1. Stroke displaying incorrectly and Offset Path broken

   In the first screenshot i show where i have duplicated an outlined letter R and rotated and it is rendering the stroke differently on both.
   I have also had issues with using offset instead where the stroke is broken on some letters even though the path is closed, see other screenshot (Q).

2. Symbol mangling when exporting into SVG

   I see an incorrect result when exporting into SVG through File -> Export -> Export As... -> save as SVG. I have two gradient filled rectangles presented as symbols (see .ai inside the attached .zip), one is blue gradient and the other is gray gradient. When export into SVG, the resulting image shows both rectangles filled with gray gradient.

   It looks like AI thinks both symbols are visually the same an merges them into a single symbol. If i use solid colors, this doesn't happen.

   As for SVG options see 'svg_options.png' inside the .zip.

   Check 'system_info.txt' inside the .zip for system info.

3. Adobe Illustrator asks you to Save when no changes were made?

   Why does Illustrator, for the past many years, ask you to Save when no changes were made? Makes me think I accidentally did something or forgot that I did something. If nothing was changed, Don't ask to Save....please.

5. Scrolling is not smooth anymore

   The scrolling in illustrator is not smooth or fast anymore. I have to swipe way too many times to move a bit around the artboard. Very frustrating. What gives?

   I have just updated my OS and Illustrator. (Mohave, Illustrator 2019).

6. Isolate Selected Groups Does Not Work in CC 2019

   Spent 4 days following a tutorial thinking I was losing my mind.
   Then, it dawned on me I downloaded CC 2019 four days ago.
   Downloaded CC2017 and the operation works as advertised.
   Used especially for cartooning…
   Goes like this:
   1. Select all inked artwork>Object>Expand Appearances>Merge.
   Create and color a rectangle covering artwork.
   Select All>Merge
   Then>>>>>Right Click<<<< and click "Select Isolate Selected Groups”
   This will put editable color with all closed line work.

   The enclosed pic is where things go wrong in 2019
   Once Isolate Selected groups is clicked you should be able to delete the outside green in isolation mode and edit any enclosed area.

   You should get something that looks like the second pic.

   Works fine in 2017.

7. Paste Remembers Layers doesn't work if original layer is hidden

   Steps:
   Create object on layer.
   Copy object.
   Hide layer.
   Create new layer.
   Paste object with new layer selected.

   It will warn you that the layer you're attempting to paste onto is hidden. But... no it's not. I have the "Paste remembers layers" checkbox turned off.

   This is either a bug, or someone should stick close to someone who actually understands user expectations.

8. Cannot Resize - Bounding box reset doesn't help

9. Files don’t get displayed when opened or displayed corrupted with Application Frame enabled

   These are not 'ideas' they are bugs, errors, problems - stop with the Orwellian language, just makes you look insincere and untruthful.

   The problem:
   When Application Frame is selected, files either do not display when opened or have a corrupted display. Doesn't happen every time, but quite often.
   Mac Pro macOS 10.12.6, Illustrator 22.1

    1. The dropdown menu in the type window for anti-aliasing options is disabled seemingly at random.
    

    1. The anti-aliasing dropdown menu in the type window allows me to designate a render setting to one type selection however, this setting also seemingly applies to all type on the document (i.e. I cannot apply "Sharp" to one text block and "Strong" to another).

11. cant copy text from illustrator and paste to indesign

    When I attempt to copy selected text characters (not the object) and paste in Indesign, I get outlined characters. I have to go through TextEdit, or any other place I can paste text, then copy it again to get text that will paste in Indesign as characters.

    The latest version of Illustrator and InDesign have better handling of the buffer contents now. A selection of text at character level from Illustrator now gets copied and pasted fine in Indesign.

    Please check if it works for you now and comment back.

13. Properties doesn’t show alignment options for live shapes

    In the new Properties panel if you select a custom shape you get the alignment options, including the option to switch between "Align on artboard" and "Align on selection".
    If you select an live shape e.g. a circle, you don’t get these options in the Properties panel and you also have no option in the Align panel window to select if you want to align on artboard or selection.

    The Properties panel should have the possibility to align all elements, shapes and so on.
    Also as a backup you should include the possibility to align on artboard and align on selection in the Align panel again.

14. Free Transform of Text does not operate as expected

    Free Transform of Text does not operate as expected; Text should rotate with the text box when using free transform - instead the text does not rotate. Having to stop my workflow to find the rotate command and then guess what angle I need to rotate is a time waster.

15. With "Snap to Point" on, the cursor doesn't change colour to indicate a snap to anchor will occur

    I just switched to AI 2017 from AI 2015 and i'm noticing this straight away. In preview mode and artwork modes. Turning on Smart Guides helps in some situations but in other cases it fails to identify a Snap when an anchor is around. Snap to Point should work independently of Smart Guides anyhow.

    Massively annoying.

    If you are still having problems with this, please provide a test file and a small video showing the exact workflow and the combination of options used. This would help to start investigation.

16. 「選択範囲を書き出し」でSVGを書き出す際、無関係なPNG画像が同時に出力される

    Illustrator 2024で「選択範囲を書き出し」からSVGを書き出す際、本来選択しているオブジェクトではなく、無関係なPNG画像や別のSVGデータが出力されます。

    問題のPNG画像は、
    ・アートボード上に存在しない
    ・現在開いているファイル内にも存在しない
    ・2年ほど前に使用した記憶のある画像
    ・アセット書き出しパネルにも表示されない

    という状態です。

    また、
    ・新規ファイルを作成しても再発する
    ・通常のPNG書き出しでは発生しない
    ・「選択範囲を書き出し」→SVGの場合のみ発生する

    ことを確認しています。

    さらに、出力されたSVGには、現在選択しているオブジェクト以外の無関係な内容も含まれており、意図した内容だけを書き出すことができません。

    使用環境：
    Illustrator 2024（28.7.10）
    macOS Sonoma 14.6.1

    my swatches are all white but when I click on a color it shows the actual color

19. Illustrator repeatedly gets stuck saving causing a forced restart and loss of document

    Illustrator repeatedly gets stuck saving almost every document that has any complexity. It will not finish it's save and requires a force quit/restart. It will also not autosave any document changes made before the error, so every time it happens it requires the file to be made from scratch. This has become so persistent in my files that I can no longer use illustrator.

    Operating system: Windows 11 Enterprise 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
    Version of Illustrator: 30.3

20. Multipoint Freeform Gradients Uneditable

    Randomly all gradients in Illustrator with multiple points become uneditable, I cannot click on "Edit gradient" button and if I manage to it does nothing. Point on gradient temporarily come up when in Gradient panel, but disappears when I click off. I have reset the application numerous times.
