I am closing the ticket due to lack of response.
Please get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com or any of the other support channels – helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Please give a reference to this post so that we can identify you.
Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.An error occurred while saving the comment Steve, how do you 'rename all artboard at once'? You mean consecutively, one by one?
Can you reproduce this behaviour exactly, if you try to do it from from the scratch? If yes — please provide a video demo and the exact steps. An error occurred while saving the comment Sounds painful :(
Can you check Preferences > Units > Identify Objects By, if you have Object name there or XML ID? I doubt it is related, but so far I have no other guesses.
Can you also record a video that shows exactly how it happens? An error occurred while saving the comment Not a feature request but a bug report.
Some users confirm something like this happens from time to time. -

An error occurred while saving the comment This is strange... Artboard don’t snap for me to 0.5 px!
What settings do you use for the document grid and the units? What snaps and modes are activated for you? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I have a suspicion that the document was saved as a PDF without the 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities'... But it’s hard to tell three years after :(

An error occurred while saving the comment This is exactly what I am thinking and thus hesitate.
I think it should just be refurbished into a 'Don’t use CMYK PostScript placed in EPS when placed in RGB documents' request. An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting... This does solve this indeed. Ton, can this report be closed then?

An error occurred while saving the comment Georgette, there are three size options for the font previews. You can access them in the top right corner of the dropdown list, like it’s shown in the attached screenshot. Do these suffice, or do you want to have them even larger? How large? Can you show a mockup maybe?

An error occurred while saving the comment A lot of people still need local instances.
I am one of them :)AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Editing content of the text can possibly change the dimensions of a symbol and therefore break the layout. Do you think it a tolerable evil?
Seems like a good suggestion though. Ai can borrow a lot from components and blocks from Figma or various CADs. -

An error occurred while saving the comment There are several downsides to the Transform method.
1. You can’t move the clipping line to crop the object
2. It’s hard to setup the rotation of the clipping line
3. it’s hard to make the whole object rotated, if you need it
All of these can be solved, though, but with a lot of effort.
So the request is valid still.
However, since it really feels strange, can you please attach a screenshot of the thing you are making, to better convince others?AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment A bit strange to have a mirror that not only mirrors, but also flips, but that’s because the name implies this. I get the idea.
For now I’d advise to use Transform effect to workaround this. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Eric, I don’t force you or anybody to purchase anything. I just share an existing workaround other users may find suitable. Yes, it is a paid one, but I share free workarounds as well, if I know about them. I think it brings more value to the discussion. The request is pretty valid and I voted for it myself.
An error occurred while saving the comment PathScribe is absolutely worth having, especially if you struggle with a certain task right now. Yes, I too believe that dealing with handles should be better to have from the box, although I doubt it is going to be as powerful, if it’s ever going to be implemented.
Anyway, PathScribe does not allow to nudge handles with keyboard, but it allows to change their length with a specified increment. Other than that — almost anything.
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Daan, I don’t believe they can handle this right.
And you know about PathScribe plugin by AstuteGraphics, don’t you?An error occurred while saving the comment There's a plugin called VectorScribe from AstuteGraphics that does exactly this. It's on their annual service plan. It's worth it! But maybe you already know. Adobe just won't do anything about it, when there's a superior tool around.

An error occurred while saving the comment What is exactly you are trying to copy? Paths, text, meshes, gradients... what is the contents of your copied selection?
Does it help if you try to copy something more basic, like a simple path?
If yes — what exactly in your selection makes the operation fail? -
There's a problem creating a NEW link to share the document after the initial link has been created.
1 voteAn error occurred while saving the comment Can you please share more information, so the team can start investigating this?
— what is your exact build number?
— can you record a video of the issue happening?
— can you share this file in any other way? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Hmm. Can’t reproduce at my side, but I am on Windows, using Opera, and most probably try wrong sides form a different provider...
Anyway, I will push it to the team for investigation. Thanks! An error occurred while saving the comment Perhaps the format the browser uses to keep the image in the buffer is something Ai can’t read. Even if the image is said to be a JPEG or a PNG, the CDN can use something like a WEP instead... but Ai now supports WEBP. Which version are you using?
Can you paste this image anywhere else, like in Photoshop? or something less graphics-related, like a word processor?
And it can be a different problem altogether. More details needed.
A nice request, but hard to implement... Definitely not a bug, but a way the mechanism works now. Glyphs now don’t get distorted, but just rotated to follow the path, so ligatures don’t connect perfectly. The system just was not meant to deal with connected glyphs :(
I’d advise the same workaround with the brush, although the distortion it makes in some cases are even worse.
