An error occurred while saving the comment Can’t confirm, works fine for me.
There must be something more to this... The bug is familiar to me, but it never is about Repeat objects (because I do not use them). It happens for newly created rectangles too an both for existing ones. -

Out of curiosity I’d like to know why do you need to view these many documents at once in a grid, using Illustrator? I suspect there are many other ways to achieve this, rather than adding a command 'Fit All on Artboard for every Open Document' that might confuse a lot of users. -

An error occurred while saving the comment What can be done, I suppose, is converting these former gradient fills to freeform gradient ones (triangular mesh inside), but this would require some fat math and doubtedly a thing you want.
A mode where a gradient would be kept live but thus displayed wrong on a rotated surface (because it is, even if you use 'Off-Axis Front' that looks quite similar, because it feels like rotating along one axis only)... well, maybe. But the 3D in Ai is terribly dated and will not be fixed until is completely rewritten, which I suppose is in the development, according to some public hints from the management. Let’s hope that it will not worse.
Voted.An error occurred while saving the comment Well, it the different story. This is not a bug. It is a completely normal behaviour.
Gradient in 3D gets distorted along two axes and thus can’t stay as a linear live gradient after you expand it.
That is why it warns you about it. So you do everything correct to workaround it.An error occurred while saving the comment What type of gradient are you talking about exactly?
This is not how it works for me.
Can you please provide steps and a test file or a video that demonstrates it? -

As for the green scrapes — it is a GPU issue. What is your GPU?

The message is not getting shown for me, but I am on the latest version on Windows. When I open or switch — no problem.
Well, maybe updating the app can be a solution?An error occurred while saving the comment Emile, what version are you using?
Does it happen for all files or only some of them? What about a fresh new file? Do you have guides in them? Are you sure?

You mean that Ai tries to decided for you, when to enable which? Or what? Please explain. -

Also if you want more control over the variable width of a stroke, consider trying AstuteGraphics plugin set, that has this extended functionality that allows to drag a over a stroke and get this range applied as a width gradient. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I see. I suspect your artwork is more complex than just Rivers over Roads, so it is not that easy to just maintain the order. I never had problems with maintain the relative order of the layers, but I admit that I never have more than a dozen of them. Also I do not hesitate to use numbers before the names to track the order.
So far I do not see a solution that will not obscure things... I believe this is not something needed broadly. And 'locking' is a different thing, so it will be hard to inject this feature without convoluting things.
Still, I am interested to learn more!

An error occurred while saving the comment Are you using shortcut keys or context menu? Or is the issue happening with both of them?
The developer replied that they did had some issues which crept in with one of the OS (it is thought that Catalina broke something) and this looks like a damage from there.

Finally you wrote something that can be checked, hooray. I’ll try to bring some attention to it. Thank you for your patience. Please note that I am not an employee, I just want Ai to be a bit MORE stable. Same boat as you.
An error occurred while saving the comment So it means you paste a previously copied name in the new folder’s name, and it gets paste, but you can’t commit the change? or it does not get pasted at all? Can you paste it somewhere else (which means it is an the buffer) or no (which means it does not get copied in the first place)?

Radial, Mirror, Grid Repeat objects are available in the latest desktop versions, 25.1 and higher.
There are some improvements still to be made, and the team is aware of some of them.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.2.3 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Does not happen for me if done properly (mouse first).
Elena, can you demonstrate or describe the problem? This would bring more attention to it for sure.
