Disable 'Use preview bounds' option to exclude strokes and effects from the bounding box

If this happens for you, please check the 'Use Preview Bounds' in Preferences > General. When it’s enabled, Ai will treat strokes and effects as a part of the object’s bounds.

This happens if the colorization method for a brush is chosen to be just None.
Changing it to be Tints or any other form the dropdown in the brush’s options solves the problem.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yolanda, please check if you have the colorization method in brush options set to anything other than None.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tiago, this can be caused by GPU.
Try to update your video card driver and/or disable GPU preview to see if it’s related. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Does it happen only with this file or any other too?
If everything is affected, then Try to reset you preferences first: https://astutegraphics.com/support/tutorials-and-troubleshooting/resetting-illustrator-preferences
If it doesn’t help and/or only this file is affected, please share it. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Allowing direct selection to edit parts that outside of clipping paths, however, could definitely cause a lot of frustration when mistreated. I can think of a lot of cases this would **** me off :) Still, I think that this can be very useful.
Alos, I believe that this could work well with this thing:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/41001730-don-t-display-clipped-paths-in-outline-view-optionAs for the second part, I believe this is the original intention and not a strict 'bug'. But I agree completely that it’s not how it should work and I have a request for fixing it:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/40073080-clicking-filled-clipping-path-doesn-t-select-it
It has surprisingly little votes. -

An error occurred while saving the comment You should definitely share the file, here, or via sharewithai@adobe.com
I personally met files that just had their extensions wrong (but I see yours one is a screenshot, which makes the theory less plausible). -

An error occurred while saving the comment Magnus, I can confirm this also happens for me when I try your file.
Well, Illustrator is not a CAD program, unfortunately. It’s based on an internal grid, and you were lucky to find a weak spot when rounding coordinates makes AI think the tangent is not perfect.
To workaround this, open the tool’s options and set a gap detection to a very small value — it worked for me. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Sorry, I don’t get it.
Perhaps you should try to record a video.
if English is not comfortable for you — add a description in comment using another language so it could be translated. -

The description matches with the fixed 'auto-keying' issue.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ninian, the thick blue line is the way Illustrator marks the 'key object', which is used for the aligning. The fact it’s showing up when you have more than one object selected is officially a bug, introduced in 24.2, but almost fixed in 24.2.1 (normally you would have to single click an object in your selection you want to make a key one).
Are you sure you are updated to 24.2.1?
If yes, please try to open Align panel and manually change the 'Align to' mode to 'Artboard', and then try to work as usual. If the bug with auto-keying is still there after it, please record it on video (including Align panel look), and send over sharewithai@adobe.com, to help the team to finally fix it.
As for the cursor issue, please log it as a separate feature request (I can’t find one). -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mariusz, do you want something like this?
If yes, than it’s something you can do already. It’s a combination of a graphic style and an isolation mode. It will keep every line live until you expand the group. Also you can set the style as the default one and let Ai automate its creation for you. It’s quite versatile, and covers many general needs. You should definitely write more about what you expect still, to help the team to prioritize.
Also, do you know about DynamicSketch plugin from AstuteGraphics? It’s quite complimentary to drawing and might be useful for you. If it won’t suite you, feel free to explain why on their Slack channel: http://bit.ly/ag-slack — they would love to help artists, it’s their major priority. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Have you tried to check 'Persistent' in your custom swathes panel? Please try and let us know if it works for you (it should but I have several reports that it does not and I personally can’t make it work too).

An error occurred while saving the comment Does it differ if you lock guides? Hide them?
What is your 'Align to' mode in Align panel? If you try to change it to different modes, does it matter?
Can you record the video or a GIF (with e.g. LICEcap or Sharex)? -

An error occurred while saving the comment And I’m against of putting this mode to the same shortcut. A separate one maybe.
An error occurred while saving the comment Onur, meanwhile you can use a trick and execute 'Select inverse' twice. Put it into an action and it will work just like you want 'Select all' to work for points.

Smart Guides can be used to align artboards almost the same as other shapes. If you have a feature request or a bug report on the behavior you don’t like about — please upvote an existing one or make a new one.
An error occurred while saving the comment Vladimir, but they do так то.
Yeah, hello again. Same thing — disable 'Use preview bounds' option.
