You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.

The latest Beta 28.8.0.37 now has this function back.
You can enable the mode using a button in Control Panel or in Properties, with the Artboard tool picked.
The option automatically enables Scale Strokes & Effects option temporarily.
As always, you can hold Shift to resize proportionally.
Please test it and comment back!

The team has revised the UI for Image Trace and reverted it to the way it looked in 27.0. So far this is only available in the latest Beta version, but it is planned to make it released soon.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thank goodness. That new menu was TERRIBLE! At first I thought it was going to give you a preview of what it would actually look like (the art you were working on). But it was static, meant you needed to endlessly scroll through a bunch of pointless previews and placeholders.
Thank you so much for changing it back - I hope it hits the production version asap -

The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

Latest Beta Build 29.2.34 now adds Eyedropper in the Color Picker dialog to allow us pick colors from artwork.
Please try to test it and comment on if it works as you expect.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.
Agreed! And one for each of the different pathfinder options. I waste so much time on this when it can be simple :)
