Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

Latest Beta Build 29.2.34 now adds Eyedropper in the Color Picker dialog to allow us pick colors from artwork.
Please try to test it and comment on if it works as you expect.
An error occurred while saving the comment Neil Patrick McMillan commentedWould be better if you could eyedrop from anywhere on any screen (eg: from an internet browser window).
Cinema4D eyedropper allows this.

Escape key does that.
If this does not work for you for some reasons — please provide it in the comments.

C'mon. The iOS CC "help->search" tool will freaking show you where the button is.
THAT IS 'POTENTIALLY' THEEEEE COOOLEST INTERFACE-FEATURE EVER.
Windows CC "Help->Search" sends users to the internet.
That's just plain mean. That's Racist! That's a hate crime!
IF Hardware has that level of influence on the performance of your software, that should be BLATANTLY labeled "Batteries not included for Windows users"
The users of your software are not always the ones who choose the hardware. Often, that is beyond control. If apple starts making true 3D animation machines, then the ground would be level.
Until then, please do Windows users a favor. Please share the invisible helper tool which shows the user where the function is.
If 3D animators are using ≥six programs simultaneously (i.e. for 3D), those users are the most-likely to need the feature anyway.
Dear Bill Gates: if that limitation is your fault, Please do the right thing. Our tools could help us learn how to use them.
