Please revise the new tool to simplify paths once again
Hello, the new tool to simplify the paths will be great for many people. But I draw my lines deliberately blurred. With the old tool I always set the value to 98% or 99%. But even if I set everything to maximum in the new tool, the paths will be really smooth. But I don't want it to be that smooth. Please rework the settings again. The paths should look blurred, but have as few anchor points as possible. With the old tool it always worked great. Many thanks

The same tool as Moho's magnet tool
Has anyone tried Moho by Smithmicro? Pretty fast vector animation tool. It has a drawing adjustment tool called Magnet. Here's how it's described in the manual: "The Magnet tool is similar to the Transform Points tool - it is used to move points around. Do the 'Effects menu' as the After Effect's
Why don't you make the AI effects menu as practical as the AE's menu? It is much easier to type in what do you want.

Set exact dimensions to one object in a group that affects the entire group.
Example: I have 3 squares. 2 large ones and one small one overlapping the two. (see picture)
The task is to set the small red square to exactly 140 x 140 mm without losing the proportions in size or position to the blue or green box.
I want an exact scale up where the end result is that the red square is 140 mm x 140 mm.
I can use rulers, but the small square doesn't snap since it isn't touching the bounding box. Using this I can eyeball it and get a result like 140.062 x 140.062 mm. I…2 votes -
Make Adobe Stock Images and Vectors avialable to earlier versions of the app.
Remember there are a lot of people that use Creative Cloud but are limited by the equipment they are using. The latest version of Illustrator I can use on my computer is 2019 and when I try to save or open a vector from Adobe stock I am informed that I need the latest version to continue. This is not possible. If you wish to offer free images/vectors make sure they are free and accessible to other versions other than the latest. Please do not increase user frustration by misleading what is available.

Full Unicode Support and Unicode Hexadecimal Input Support with the Alt key
Please add full Unicode support to Adobe Illustrator. I understand many Unicode characters are not supported by different fonts but it would be great if there was support for Unicode characters such as angle brackets, ⟨a, b⟩ that are supported by certain fonts that incorporate a wide range of Unicode characters. For example, the Noto font family supports over 64,000 Unicode characters. It would also streamline the workflow if there was a way in Illustrator to enter Unicode characters using the Alt key (in Microsoft Word, if you type the hexadecimal code of a Unicode character, then press Alt+X, it…

Better options to layout and save button mode in actions
Allow editing of multiple actions at once: eg shift select a group of actions, go to action settings and set the colour for all. Allow separators in button mode.
This would help me as I have a large number of actions, grouped by the type of illustration I am working on. I usually work in button mode, so segregating by colour allows my to identify actions quickly. If I have to reset my preferences, or reload group actions, it can take nearly an hour to set this up.3 votes -
More vector brushes
Have more brushes! (like a tapered brush), allow to add, export, and make custom brushes.
Easily delete overlapping lines like in CSP.
Include patterns like half tones for comics we can drag and drop inside shapes.
Allow gradients and patterns to be applied to the stroke.
We can choose which part of the stroke to change the width instead of all of it.
Have an option to do an even width change or freehand.
Be able to fill color within the visible strokes/lines instead of shapes.5 votes -
Disable bristle brush warning
Whenever a document contains any bristle brush (or expanded bristle brush strokes) you get a warning when you save the document that it contains complex shapes etc.
Could you please make it possible to completely disable this warning?
I know you can tick "Don't show again in the current session" but that's not enough. The warning pops up again the next time you open the document and working on multiple documents containing bristle brushes gets quite annyoing in the long run.

Print Nesting
Illustrator needs the ability to perform efficient object nesting. This would greatly help in making files for printing and cutting as well as saving loads of time. Please add nesting to Illustrator!

More Text Frame & Type options like: Inset Spacing, Auto Fit, Columns and Bullet & Num Lists
I highly appraise adding the much needed Vertical Text Alignment feature from indesign to Illustrator. While they are at it I would like to request more Text Frame & Type features to be migrated over from Indesign. Like Inset Spacing, Auto Fit, Columns and Bullet & Numbered Lists .
Why? Due to Illustrator having more flexible and abundant creativity oriented vector design features I often pick Illustrator over Indesign to create single page designs like flyers or posters. Warnings Popup Manager

The Named Views feature should be expanded for more names, listed alphabetically, and be more easily editable..
The Named Views feature is under developed. It is useful for complex drawings with several Artboards and many layers. Its functionality can include several categories of the Illustrator program. Attached is a file with several points of improvement.

Libraries panel background
Can we stop changing the look of the Libraries panel.?!?!?

Untie the Transform Patterns checkbox in General Options and Transform Effect dialog.
Sometimes (actually pretty often) it is necessary to alter a pattern size for one single object. So you go to Appearance -> Fill -> Effects -> Distort and Transform -> Transform and there you have checkboxes to chose whether to transform object or pattern or both and that is great.
But once you have done this (for one single object) this setting changes the general Option under Preferences->General and this setting affects the entire app, not this file only and you must change it back each time. And that is not that great.2 votes -
Version History - a couple feature requests
I sorta like the new version history option. It's at least kinda a step towards the history panel so many people want. There are a couple of features that I think would improve it. (If these already exist and I'm missing them can you teach me where they are?)
My first request is adding an option to save at anytime you choose. This only saves every 5 minutes. Say I make a bunch of changes in only 3 minutes. I'd then have to wait 2 minutes for it to create a save point before I could choose to revert to…

Convert to Line effect
If you try to apply 'Convert to Rectangle' effect, Ai will limit you minimal width/height to 0.01mm — not zero. It means we can't use it to create 'lines'. And this is something appearance and styles will hugely benefit from.
