  1. Show status for Hide/Show Edges

    It would be really useful if you had an indicator in the toolbar that shows if Edges are currently Hidden or Shown. It could also be a toggle, but just showing the status clearly and always would be enough.

  2. When pasting into photoshop, masked objects should be defined by / constrain mask size. Objects / pixels outside the mask should be ignored.

    When pasting a masked object from AI to Photoshop, the size of the object is determined by everything inside and outside of the mask. It should be determined by the size of the mask only. Photoshop interprets the clipboard size based on the entire object size rather than the masked size. The result is that the desired final cropped artwork is pasted pasted too small.

    I believe this is a bug or design error. I am pretty sure much (much!) older versions of AI didnt do this.
    I dont know of a scenario where the current action would be desirable.…

  3. Add an option to create a preset for layers

    It would be very helpful if there's an option to create a layers preset where I can customize the names, colors, & etc of the layers & sublayers and save it as a preset for when I needed it.

  4. Object > Repeat > Mirror needs Snapping

    When using the handles in the viewport, snapping is not available. Snapping would make all of the "Object > Repeat" functions much more useful.

  5. Request: Add Custom Font Sizes to Text Size Dropdown in Illustrator

    It would be great if Adobe Illustrator allowed users to save custom font sizes (such as 150pt, 200pt, etc.) to the default text size dropdown in the Character panel. Currently, while you can manually enter large font sizes, they don't appear in the dropdown for future use. Allowing custom sizes to be added to the dropdown would save time, improve workflow consistency, and make working with large text sizes more efficient. Thank you for considering this feature!

  6. Ajout d'un plan de travail calé sur une sélection

    L'idée est simple : un bouton permettant de générer un plan de travail sous la sélection en cours.

    Le cas concret : je dois isoler chaque colonne "mois" d'un calendrier complet, afin de pouvoir importer ensuite chaque colonne indépendamment dans InDesign. J'aimerais pouvoir sélectionner mon mois de Janvier, et cliquer un bouton afin de générer un plan de travail sous ma sélection, directement aux dimensions piles.

  7. Make custom layers outside of artboards visible in Trim View

    Sometimes when using Trim view I do want to see other items shown. Like Notes or measurements that are outside of the artboard, But I still want the preview of Trim View to hide bleed and artwork that extends beyond. I wish that inside the layer Options Settings. there was a checkbox to show in Trim View, so items on that layer are still visible when trim view is active

  8. Make Illustrator inform users about the live shape nature of the path used for area type and provide associated controls for it

    Currently, when we use a live rectangle as a path for an area type, it secretly stays live shape inside, and it allows us to scale the object with the round corners honored. If we round corners for a rectangle-looking path (not live shape), corners will get stretched.

    However, there is no way to distinguish these two cases with UI, or to convert a rectangular path used for the area type into live rectangle shape, or to have shape-sepcific controls.

  10. View Transparency Grid only in artboards

    Like other users I've encountered here, I find the whole-window Transparency Grid to be a significant distraction. It'd be helpful to be able to at least opt to show the grid only within artboards, and even better to toggle the grid for specific artboards (see screenshot).

  11. Generate a full calendar design with a text prompt from a custom template

    I think this will be the next level of GenAI
    The idea is to generate text using AI recognition from the customized template and add multiple artboards with Gen AI.

    For example:

    If we have a calendar design for January 2025 with editable text.
    We input the prompt like "generate remaining months of 2025"
    The GenAI feature should recognize the template, colors, and text within.
    The GenAI should make additional artboards with the remaining months and accurate data keeping the template and the colors consistent.

  12. Put Apply to Selected button into Dimension Tool Options dialog

    At the moment we can edit existing selected dimensions using Control or Properties panel (except for Scale!)

    But if one chooses to open Dimension Tool Options dialog, all the settings won’t be applied to a selection, these would alter only dimensions created AFTER.

    I’d like to have another button here, to allow me to apply chosen settings to what I have selected already, or perhaps even to All, similar to the Properties-only quick action button (this and others there should also be available via Object > Dimension menu the team 'forgot' to add: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49010378)

  13. Make the font selection panel less intrusive by making it editable and moveable

    The font selection panel currently takes up a large portion of the center screen, making it difficult to see the font changes on a large scale. It would be nice if the panel could be editable and moveable, like other panels on Illustrator. Also, it could be positioned on the right side of the screen by default and made slightly transparent, to see through.

  14. Illustrator Share For Review | "Actual Size" Page View

    In share for review, the previews allow the viewer to change the page view to “Fit Window Width” or “Fit Full Page” in the lower-right corner.

    We need an “Actual Size” view setting. It would solve issues such as unwanted enlargement of small designs and checking details on large designs.

    BONUS: The ability to select a default view in our Share For Review settings would be the icing on the cake!

  15. Allow to assign several colors as transparent for Image Trace

    Currently Image Trace allows to pick one color to ignore and replace it with full transparency. Perhaps some users might need to pick more than one color.
    UI in other places offers to setup several color chips, seems like a consistent move to allow the same here.

  16. 文字プロパティの「さらに検索」の言語表示を改善

    文字プロパティの「さらに検索」で母国語以外の他言語が上位表示される仕様になっている。

    日本ユーザーの場合、韓国語が上位表示されており、利便性に欠けるとともに、ローカライズが出来ていない状態といえる。

    ユーザーの母国語を最優先に表示する仕様に改善すべきと考える。

  17. Dimension tool style presets

    The dimension tool gives alot of style options for the arrow size, line thickness, offsets, etc. It would be great to save presets that could be switched from a dropdown list in the dimension tool options dialog.

  18. Bleed option for multi-color object

    Currently if you expand an object with more than one color the paths will overlap where they meet. It would be beneficial if the expanded paths split the difference where they meet to better setup objects with bleed.

  19. Rename updated Move locked and hidden artwork with artboard

    CC 2025 v29.0 introduces the long-awaited "Scale Artwork with Artboard" option.

    The checkbox in Preferences > Selection and Anchor Display > Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard now also affects whether locked or hidden objects are scaled with the artboard or not.

    I didn't realize this right away. When I tried to scale an artboard with a locked object, I got a warning and thought that the new feature just doesn't know how to scale such objects with an artboard. Only then did I realize that the existing option in the settings affects the function.

  20. Make Polygon tool dialog offer to set a shape by its Side Length

    ¡¡¡¿Por qué pregunta el radio de un octágono?!!! Tendría el programa que calcularlo. Si yo pongo cuántos lados quiero, en donde dice RADIO tendría que dar la opción de la medida de cada LADO, no del radio. Para ello yo tendría que estar haciendo cuentas matemáticas que me atrasan en mi trabajo.
