AutoCAD DWG support on Illustrator Silicon
To import DWG (any version) into Apple Silicon Illustrator. The current version 25.3 is no longer compatible. This is a critical missing import ability.

command+option+z should *not* be the shortcut to revert the current project
command+option+z is "step backward" in photoshop, undo basically. Why is it revert file in illustrator?! so many people have lost work because of this simple oversight.

Allow to filter files in Recent menu/section to include only AI documents and exclude chosen formats like PDF, JPEG, TIFF, Save a Copy, etc.
RECENT FILES SHOULD IDEALLY BE ONLY AI DOCUMENTS.
If I have exported say 10 jpgs in my previous session, on start-up my RECENT FILES is over-run with those JPG file names. They all have the same thumbnail too. That's outrageous!

Unify point tangent, angle\length\direction
Short rationales:
Point Angle - I need a way to control the exact angle of point handles to unify them across a design. Currently the only way to control the angle is to constrain it to vertical, horizontal, or 45 degree angles.Point Handle Length\Direction - If you grab a point handle and make it a different length or direction than the handle on the other side of a point, there is currently no way to re-unify them besides re-drawing the curve.

This might actually be useful in other products but have an "open frequent" as well as open recent, if you have to load a file alot
I was thinking you could add hexadecimal count in file so only adding a byte of data but then what happens when you share files ect, I don't know if there is already a easy way already in the metadata you could implement it
Now I know you can create libraries to sort of do what I'm saying or bridge.
A couple of situations where it would be useful loading up logo for a frequent client or company you work for.

Blending modes respecting self intersecting strokes
When drawing with a real marker, overlapping strokes are darker than single strokes.
I would like Illustrator to have the option to mimic this when using strokes in Multiply mode. It works with to separate paths, but not with self intersecting paths,Compare left and right in the image.

As we know, Adobe market themselves as the premier in editing software - the best of the best.
This is simply untrue. Illustrator is such a difficult program to access and this leads to more people being unable to use it.
Firstly, the custom brushes are nearly impossible to make as a pattern brush if you don’t want a ridiculous amount of tiling. How about instead of making it tile in a grid, you give the option to have it only tile vertically or horizontally? This would help people who are on fashion and architecture…

プリント画面表示時にそのバックの作業画面のスクロールを可能にして欲しい
デザイン画面をプリントアウトする印刷物を作成するデザイナーのほとんどは、広い作業画面の分割プリント指示を使って複数のラフをプリントします。そのときどのページをプリント指示する場合、作業画面に表示される分割プリントの番号をプリント画面で入力します。ところがプリント画面が表示されている状態では作業画面をスクロールすることが出来ません。その結果、ページ番号をメモしたり覚えたりしてその数字をプリントタイル範囲に入力しなければなりません。かつてのかなり古いバージョンではスクロール出来た時もありましたがいつの間にかその機能はなくなってしまいました。プリント画面でバックの作業画面をスクロールできると、プリント指示の効率が非常にあがります。ぜひ復活をお願いいたします。

日本語での作業時にフォントの選択が困難を極めます。
日本語版を使用しているとフォントの数が極端に多くなります。モリサワ、フォントワークスなどがサブスクリプションで多数の書体が使えるようになっており、そのうえフォントの名前が頭にA-OTFなどのベンダーのつけた記号によって、記憶しているフォント名順にならず、さらに欧文フォントが多数インストールされており、とどめにAdobeTypeが加わり、フォントの並び順がめちゃくちゃでかつスクロールも以上に長く、使いたいフォントにすぐたどり着けません。最近使用したフォントをフォントメニューの頭に並ぶ設定にすると、こんどは実際に書類のフォントを変えながら探すときに、毎回フォントメニューの頭に戻ってしまい、たとえば欧文でAの名前から順に探すために毎回ながいスクロールをするハメになります。また、ラップトップの小さい画面で選べるようにポップアップしたフォントメニューの天地幅が狭く、大型モニタで作業する多くのユーザーは少しの範囲しかないポップアップで延々スクロールしなければなりません。提案は3点。 1｜フォントのポップアップの天地幅を大きなモニタで長くして欲しい。 2｜フォントメニューのフォント名の並び順を任意に変えられるようにして欲しい。 3｜微妙に違うフォントが増えたので、フォント名の右側だけではなく、固定ウインドウにもっと大きなサンプルを表示して欲しい。以上です。英語版以外の特に日本語版のフォント選択の不便さは誰もが困っているはずです。非能率このうえない状態をユーザにいつまで強いるのでしょうか。改善を強く望みます。

Improved Type on a Path
Type on a Path still is and always has been difficult to align. Trying to find the little cursors that allow you to adjust the end , middle, and begin points to move type around is difficult as they are so small and finicky and even blend in with the bounding box guides of the path. Having a clearer, easier way to move the type on path would be extremely helpful to everyone. I have even heard professionals teaching classes on Skillshare complain about this issue.

Move selected objects while "object selection only by paths" is on
When "object selection only by paths" is on in my preferences, I should be able to move a selected object while clicking on it's fill. At the moment, if I select an object, and then click left mouse button down and drag on it's fill to move, the program think I'm trying to do a drag selection, and that make no sense.

copy and paste at pre selected place in group shape hierarchy
When did this change… I am 100% sure in the past when trying to paste a shape within the layered structure of a grouped set of objects, ….prior to pasting you could (A) Direct select, or maybe even double-click isolate a place in that layered grouping of shapes to specify where you want your newly pasted shape to go. Before I could, copy - hit (A) direct select an object, and then when I hit CTRL-F or V… the pasted object/shape would sit on top of previously selected shape in that layered hierarchy. Now, there’s no recognition.. or option to…

Ability to temporarily flip canvas horizontally (mirror view) for design checking
For illustrative purposes, it would be really handy to be able to temporarily flip the canvas horizontally as if in a mirrored reflection.
You would instantly see slight imperfections in a design in this new angle that was not previously noticeable due to one's specific viewpoint.
A lot of graphic programs do this to allow scrutiny from an alternate angle. InDesign and Photoshop do this already of course.

A couple of years ago we asked about an API for getting the reflection property of a frame/linked image (flip).
Back then, your answer was that there was no such API.
1. Is that still correct?

Airbrush features
It would really open up Illustrator to a brand new superior level for not just technical illustrator artists, but other artists that would like to see their drawings in a vectorize art form where they could really explore blending and shadings, instead of just typically relying on pixalated, or rasterized form to perfect their drawings. An ability to lock the order of layers, but not their content
On fixing the hierarchy of layers.
In data with a large number of layers, such as a map, the vertical relationship and stacking order of objects is very important. We are very careful not to make mistakes, but there are times when our hands slip and we end up moving them.
At the moment we can lock objects, but we can always manipulate the vertical relationship of objects.
If there is a lot of demand for the ability to lock the vertical relationship other than mine, I would like to see improvements.1 vote
