show swatch folders in recolor artwork panel
In the recolor artwork panel when you double click the color on the right to determine what the color is being changed to, you can choose from swatches by then clicking on swatches. But, it's just a list of all of the swatches with no indication of which swatch folder the swatches are in. This makes recoloring difficult at times

Preview brushes like I can in Photoshop
In Photoshop, when I open brushes, I can see a preview of all my brushes. In Illustrator, if I want to use any brushes, I have to first load a library based on the name of the library. I have dozens of libraries, and often they all have similar-sounding names. Not only is it frustrating to open the same couple of libraries EVERY TIME I open Illustrator, but I have tons of brushes I probably never use because I don't want to individually load 50 different libraries just so I can find a brush that looks like what I need.

Make an option for the Bounding box to hug text tightly
For the love of God, please make an option for the bounding box around text to only bound to the visible text. When I'm aligning text, either visually or by inputting numbers in the transform panel, I absolutely do not care about invisible space, what I want is what I can see to be centered or aligned. I'm so sick of having a text box snap to a guide or object, or me inputting exact numbers in the transform panel, only for the text to be offset and misaligned. if this option DOES exist, then make it obvious that it's…

Please make live paint more convenient!
To fill in my drawing outlines or an object, I have to select the section of outlines or shapes first, which is dumb, because in selecting the outlines or shapes, the color fill automatically changes to the color whatever is selected (the color of the stroke or shape's outline, that I want to fill in with a different color. This is made even more frustrating when I have to use the eyedropper to select a fill color, only for my color section to immediately change, upon reselecting the shape outlines I intended to fill in.

Illustrator 25.4.3１．ドキュメント上にテキストを入力し、フォントを指定するために文字パネルを開きフォント名をドロップダウンする。
２．フォントプレビューを非表示にした場合、モリサワフォント等接頭辞の大きなフォント（特にAP-OTFで始まるもの）は不適切な省略表記となりフォント名の特定が困難となる。これはフォントの命名にも絡む問題で一概にIllustratorに問題があるとは言い難いものです。ですから、ドロップダウンをプレスした際に表示される幅を可変にして略記表示が問題ある場合にユーザーが表示幅を調整して認識できるようにしていだだけたらと思います。
添付画像の矢印部分をユーザーが調整してフォント名の表示部分の幅を任意に調節することで略記の部分を変更できるようにしていただけたらフォントを探す際に楽になるかと思います。

Share for Review Comment Not Appearing on Artboard
Adobe Illustrator's "Share for Review" feature is a wonderful addition. I see the comments in the comments window or via the cloud link. However, I can't see what or where the specific comment or feedback was placed. I know this is still in beta, but I hope it can be resolved.

日本語版Illustratorの字形パネルメニューには、メニュー項目「標準字形に戻す」があります。
期待する「標準字形に戻す」の仕様：
選択文字からGSUBフィーチャーが取り除かれ、そのフォントのデフォルトグリフが表示される。ただしccmpのようなデフォルトで有効なフィーチャーは除く。InDesignはこの仕様。現在の日本語版Illustratorの「標準字形に戻す」の仕様：
選択文字にGSUBフィーチャー「fwid」（等幅全角字形）が付与され、等幅全角字形のグリフが表示されてしまう。標準字形の意味は、デフォルトグリフ（フォント内のcmapテーブルでマッピングされているグリフ）です。標準字形が「fwid」を意味することは決してありません。InDesignの仕様が正しく、Illustratorの仕様は間違っています。
おそらく字形パネルが実装された当初から間違っており、現在でも間違ったままです。ユーザーはこの間違った仕様にいつも苦しめられています。

Why is there a limit to number of spot/global swatches you can use in a gradient?
We use Illustrator for carpet design which includes complex grades using multiple colours.
As we reference colour poms it is easier to create named colour swatches to keep track of the colours used however we can only apply 27 to a gradient - can this limit be increased?1 vote -
Could you please allow to move the color control pop up menu, when adjusting the gradient point?
Have the option to move the pop up menu to different location. Not right on top of the artwork you're trying to fix?

Fast way to make multiple text boxes
I like to break up words and phrases in to multiple text boxes so I can move them freely. It would be nice to have a fast way while typing out the phrase to break it in to more than one text box. Like a “command + enter” type thing that instead of going to a new line it goes to a new text box.

Apply arrowheads with eyedropper
When using the eyedropper tool on a line, I would like the arrowheads from the line I am imitating to be applied to the selected line. I don't want to scroll through all the arrowhead options for every line! If I apply it once, It'd be so much easier to eyedrop that same feature on all the other lines I need it for.
This is something I would use for my job while making tech packs every day! I have arrowheads on the ends of dimensions and callouts.

To modify the paragraph, you can use the node + Shift button to move and adjust the size without offset.

Please re-add 3D mapping with Symbols to the new 3D functionality.
I know it's included in the "3D (Classic)" Effects menu, but it needs to be added to the new 3D functionality. Calling it "Classic" means Adobe is going to abandon it (for something worse). I use 3D mapping with Symbols ALL THE TIME. PLEASE add it back.

Display Measurement Labels when Snap to Grid is on
We can enable Measurement Labels in Preferences > Smart guides, to display a drawn line’s length, or width/height for shapes, or distance for moved objects.
Cool.
But once you enable Snap to Grid, labels stop being displayed.
I get it, Smart Guides stop work in terms of snapping and actual guides rendering, but why ditch labels? We still draw and move, and it’s maybe even more important with snapping on!15 votesThis is fixed in the latest Beta Build 29.5.0.15 — now the measurement labels are displayed when both Snap to Grid and Smart Guides are enabled. Source/origin paths and follower paths
I'm looking for a way to set a certain layer/path as the origin so when I duplicate and change the original path, the rest will automatically update.
This would for example be useful in iterative design workflow to quickly change designs and/or clipping mask instances where you need multiple copies of the same path, but only wish to edit one

Share for review | When sharing a second document it took over the first documents link including all comments etc.
The share feature is confusing when you have multiple Ai documents to share. I had one document already out to share and then I was working on another document and tried to share that one and somehow it took over the first share link and now all the comments are showing on another document. There needs to be an easier way to manage shared links and link the share button to the current tab/project that is open.

Speed up Redraw with All Thumbnail Options on One Button
Switching off thumbnails for improved draw speed means switching various options and locations to get the layer, object and transparency thumbs all switched off. Working many customer files per day this is a drag.
Please put them all on one "thumbs" radio button with options for all-on, all-off, or custom preference, so I can get my work done faster.
Make this an application preference rather than document preference to save me even more time.

Colour Book/Pantone Swatches to remain in Custom Workspaces
Hi - is there a way to have custom colour books/Pantone swatches to save in a custom Workspace? I have to keep adding them again each time I restart Illustrator, and it's a bit of a pain! Thanks!

Toggle Off Large Canvas Scaling when Saving as PDF
Any artboards created larger than 227 x 227 inches are changed to a large canvas setting, which adds a scale factor to the canvas. So Illustrator will say a document that is 300 x 300 is actually 30 x 30 and just scaled by 1/10 of the size. This setting causes issues with my printer software where it reads it as a 30 x 30 and not the true size, it is disregarding the scale factor. I have to take these files and chop them up into smaller panels to print them. When I chop them up it is still…

Incorporate a shortcut inside gradient's panel
I would like to suggest to incorporate the shortcut D for "reset" the 2 initial colors inside the gradient's panel to system standard colors (black and white). I usually use as a last step before finishing my artworks some shadows for a more realistic depth/aspect using black-to-white together with multiply. The D shortcut reset the main stroke and fill colors main swatches, so it would be a little bit faster if the software understands the D as this way while it's working on gradient's setup windows.
