  1. Allow Global Edit to work with Text, Clip groups, Images, etc.

    Would love to see advance global editing. I've noticed that grouped, clip masked and text doesn't work with global editing. This will really speed things up for all adobe illustrator user.

  2. Separate Marquee tool to Object and Path selection marquee

    Also, use shift to only ADD and alt to only REMOVE objects with ALL selection tools.

  4. I'd love for the pathfinder to be able to cut up bitmaps, avoiding having so many extraneous paths in a complex file

    It would be nice if I could embed a jpeg or some other graphic format and then be able to use the pathfinder tools to change the shape of the image. Seems doable as the graphic imports as a path that happens to be filled with pixels rather than a color or pattern. The main reason I'd rather use the pathfinder for this over a clipping path is to reduce the number of paths in a complex document. When there are many elements in a file, having a lot of clipping paths makes the structure of the file difficult to…

  5. Turn "Export for Screens..." into a processing powerhouse for screens and print alike

    Why limit exporting to screens? Many graphic design workflows require assets for both screen and print. A user should be able to pick and choose (and save) all kinds of combinations of formats, dimensions, resolutions, and naming conventions for exporting.

    PNGs, JPGs, EPSs (Please add), PDFs, TIFFs, GIFs, SVGs, etc.

    This could be such a timesaver, and go a long way to help restore faith in Adobe CC.

  6. Make the eyedropper appear with the Brush / Blob Brush tool selected by holding the Alt / Option key

    With the Brush or Blob Brush tool selected, make the Eyedropper appear by holding down the Opt / Alt key. This would allow colors within the document to be sampled just like in Photoshop, without having to keep selecting from the swatches.

  7. Freeform gradient live update option

    While live update is a nice thing to have (we still wait until you make all draggable art live updated), it's still not very fast.
    Please make an option to turn off live update for freeform gradients, so a fill would update only when you release fill points.

  8. Preferences User Interface UI Scaling: Drop down menu list needs to scale too.

    Drop down menu text is too small/light to tell if an item is unavailable (grayed out) I thought if I increased the UI Scaling the dropdown menu items would also appear larger.

  9. Switching to gradient should use as starting gradient color the original solid color

    Switching to solid color to gradient, by default gradient should use as starting color the original solid color.

    Since imho mostly people uses solid as starting point, then converts to gradient.

  10. Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and show column preview on

    Hi
    On Mac, Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and "show column preview" turned on.

    File says "Illustrator is unable to save this document... due to some unexpected errors"

    Illustrator and photoshop, please change your code to work on Apple SMB. Apple confirmed they will not change their code to fix Adobe cross platform app issues saving.

  11. Illustrator Macos

    Currently Illustrator ues lots of system memory and .performance wise it's not optimized on mac, it doesn't use metal api. why in the world adobe not use metal api... now adobe need to optimize on mac to run faster and doesn't need lots of ram .

    I want metal api, run faster open faster ... still slow on imac pro

  13. The Graphic Styles Panel needs to have Global and Local panels to allow persistent styles across Illustrator

    We create a lot of vector elements and having to change the fill and stroke every time is painful. No fill/No stroke as the default would be MUCH better. Why it's a white fill and black stroke is beyond me.

  14. 回転させる時にある程度拡大しないと出来ないのを改善欲しい。

  16. Auto convert from ft. to in. missing from cc2019

    I added my forum to make sure it wasn't a setting.

    There was a feature in cc2019 that allowed me to convert ft. to in. automatically in illustrator. This made my workflow a lot easier because I didn't have to think about the conversion it just did it for me automatically.

    I'm not sure why this was removed in cc2020, but can we get it back please???

  17. Feature to be able to edit class name of SVG file. We faced some issue, when using svg of same class names in a single page.

    If we are able to edit class name of SVG files, there wont be any class override and style overide issues.

  18. Anchor point lasso tool and manipulation suite.

    click to create a selection area on a selected object(s). Scale, translate and rotate selected anchor points.

    This would save lots of time when working with pre-existing artwork or if you draw something and notice afterword a certain part in too small, to big or a little out of position. Some of this is already available but require manual selection or the selection in question to be a square.

  19. New text alignment icons in the paragraph panel

    I would suggest to add new text alignment icons in the Paragraph panel.

    It would be useful to have the possibility to align text to the top, the center and the bottom of a text box.

  20. Make artboards searchable in finder

    Make artboards searchable in finder. If I would like to search for a specific Page/artboard.

    Example:
    Search: Order3 = file: Order2019 will appear in finder as that artboard named Order_3 are located in that file.
