  1. Allow to add points in curve when Simplify panel is open

    With the Object > Path > Simplify feature, it seems like the ability to quickly add a point to the outline by clicking on the artwork, while the panel is open for refinement. The feature in there 'show original outline' combined with this new recommendation would be a very intuitive way to refine a shape.

  2. I hope CS5.6 sale

    私はＣＳ３使用時の機能要望をいくつか取り入れて戴いたＣＳ５．５ユーザーです。
    ＣＣは経済的負担が大きいので使っていません。
    Ｗｉｎ１０にＣＳ５．５を入れましたが、特に問題なく使えています。
    ＣＣになってからデザイン業界を除く個人ユーザーが更新しなくなり、
    古いバージョンのまま使っているユーザーが多いのは認識されているはずです。
    画面デザイン的に繫がりがあるのがＣＳ５．５までで、
    ＣＳ６からは大きく変更になりました。
    ＯＳが実質Ｗｉｎ１０だけになり、動作環境の面でバージョンアップを迫られているユーザーが多いはずですが、
    それでもＣＣは無理と考える人が大多数です。
    バージョンアップしたいユーザーが受け入れやすいＣＳ５．５をベースに、
    パッケージ（売り切り）版を再販して貰えば、需要がある事は明らかです。
    ここで、最低２つの機能改善を行い、ＣＳ５．６としてリリースしてはどうでしょう。
    機能改善は、
    １．描画編集中などにナビゲーター画面が逐一全画面更新され、データが重いとスマートガイドやコピー＆ペーストなどのキー動作が不安定になる。長い文字の入力編集中は特に酷い。これを極端な話、ナビゲータ画面に付けた「更新」ボタンを押すまで画面更新しなくていいようにする。
    ２．現状、文字の縁取りが文字の塗りの上になっているが、文字の塗りの下に設定できるようにする。これで一々「文字を全てコピー」「背面ペースト」「縁取り設定」をやらずに済む事になり、データが軽くなり、修正も楽になる。なぜ今までこれが出来ないのか不思議と思える基本的な機能です。

  4. Eyedropper tool to have option to pick gradient settings

    If you have a gradient set up with custom rotation and you want to pick it to another object with eyedroper tool, the rotation doesn't transfer.

    It would save time not having to type it again.

    Maybe add some other options as well to have more control.

    It should be an option at the eyedropper tool properties. (See image)

  5. Export X, Y, W, H and angle to a text file or Excel format?

    Please add a feature to allow AI to export X,Y,W,H and angle to a text or Excel file.
    I have a need to get the coordinates and sizes of buttons (in pixels) for my Touch screen. After you design the image for LCD. You will need to know XYWH and angle for touch purpose. It will be good to have AI to send those information out to a file (not image).

  6. Fix it so that it isn't so laggy and so that keyboard shortcuts work (on a Mac)

    Fix Illustrator so that on a Mac the performance isn't so slow and laggy that I can count to 13 before menus drop down, and I end redoing so many things because the lag caused me to overclock. Keyboard shortcuts don't work either, 99% of the time. Used to be great software, but now it is almost unusable. It's lack of performance ate up at last 65% of my work time. It takes hours now because of lag time to do something that would have taken 30 minutes in vision 2018 and earlier. I have no lag or performance issues…

  7. Make the "Object Selection By Path Only" and "Scale Strokes" and "Scale Corners" easily available

    Make the "Object Selection By Path Only" a check box in the Control panel. It is something that is very useful and very far tucked away in the preferences and VERY impractical for us to get to every few minutes.
    The same goes for "Scale Strokes" and "Scale Corners" and other options. These should be also accessible with keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys). I have been asking for these for years. I like to know who are the "professionals" that you consult with who don't run into these issues?

  8. import autocad layers

    when importing a file from autocad, regardless of which version its saved as the layers are not preserved and every object appears as a separate item under 1 layer. What a nightmare. I only purchased Illustrator to present our CAD drawings and it cant even do that properly, waste of money. User interface is logicless and not at all intuitive, totally reliant on youtube tutorial videos and web search solutions.

  9. Enhance Miter limits on type inner strokes

    There are a few mentions of "miter" you might get interested in.

    One that I regularly had to deal with was Miter Limit for typefaces (as applied in appearance panel).

    Could there be a way to have a miter limit applied only to the outside paths of the letter and not to the counterparts ? (like the holes in e, a, o…)

  10. Repeating pattern random recolor art

    The merger of Recolor Art and the idea of variations in the context of repeating patterns. The Recolor Art needs a slot like interface where the user can store several variations on a theme into 'alt slots' these could be accessed by the repeating pattern algorithm to generate a more diverse result. Perhaps with variations on size and rotation of the constituent elements.

  11. Toggle Scaling fonts

    i would like to see a toggle so that when i set a text size on path or text box i can scale the box or path without scaling the text within and without direct selecting the path or box
    this way i know my format is un interrupted
    also the scale effect and strokes and text needs to be in the top tool bar at all times so they can be toggled

  12. Switching between documents with shortcut CTRL + TAB on Macs

    Switching between documents with shortcut CTRL + TAB like it is used in PS. When you, as I do, constantly work in both at the same time, it would be nice to have this functionality in both PS and AI.

  13. Photoshop + Illustrator Plan

    I am Photoshop user and I would like to learn Illustrator. But it's a bit pricy, especially when you don't use it as professional. Could you create another plan like Photography Plan but with Illustrator insted of Lightroom?
    Or maybe would it be possible to pay for example 1€ and get 10h per month to use one of any program ? I think it will be great chance for people to learn any of Adobe software who don't need it as professional.

  14. Make Split into Grid to work for several shapes

    When multiple shapes are selected and Split into Grid is used, instead of splitting each individual shape it creates a big box containing all the shapes and splits the big box instead.
    Who would want that? If I select multiple shapes obviously I want to split them individually. If I want to split a big box I'll take a second to create a big box first instead of ruining my delicate little shapes.

  15. Rounding errors when changing the unit

    When working pixel-perfect, e.g. for creating icons, I switch the unit to pixels and the standard move distance to 1 px. After changing it to mm for different projects and then going back to pixels, it always goes to 1.0001 px distance - which means 2 px. Please fix this rounding error.

  16. Apply any Cap and Corner style to each stroke’s corner and end points

    Allow user to be able to select an end anchor point on a stroke and apply any cap they choose. So one path could have a butt cap on one end and round cap on the other end. This would make building certain styles with strokes far easier and avoid problems that the current workflow creates when expanded at times.

  17. Shape-mode

    Just as there is an outline-view, there should be a shape-view. I am incredibly tired of having to guess which parts of a path are part of a shape.

    There should be a mode where the focus is the shapes that have been defined (e.g. through pathfinder or manually), and the status of any line in relation to a shape.

    The overview should differentiate the status of every component by colour (e.g. part of a shape, part of multiple shapes, part of compound path etc) and then allow you to click on any element and see a list of which…

    Instead of Miter Joins just defaulting to Bevel Joints when the Miter Limit is too low, Obelisk/Chisel options can give a whole range of symmetric/asymmetric shortening of spikes, for the whole path through the Stroke palette and/or as a more flexible feature like live Corners applicable to one/more/all joins.

    Described and shown in the thread below where just a few possible shapes and uses are included.

  19. save to cloud documents for illustrator and other apps

    Can we please add the function of saving to the adobe cloud documents on apps other than PSD?? Currently after the 2020 update there is a function window that pops up when you click save/save as and it gives you the option to save to the adobe cloud documents, which is great because it saves me from using space on my flash disc memory. However, sadly illustrator does not have this option, it only has the option to save to the creative cloud synced files which is different from cloud documents because synced files still takes up space on your…

  20. Implement adaptively-sampled distance field (ADF) technology for 2D drawing

    Please incorporate adaptively-sampled distance field (ADF) technology into illustrator's drawing tools. Adobe already licenses this technology for use in fonts, and Mischief the only 2D drawing software that incorporated the technology has been discontinued.
