2. Add Export JPG/PNG option to Package Feature

3. Batch Import Swatches

   How about the ability to batch import swatches or gradients using csv or xml files? It would make it significantly easier to import colours from sources like ColorBrewer or matplotlib.

5. Add a new API to delete the swatch

   There is a problem with global gradient swatches, described at https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/908050/suggestions/44461230

   Illustrator applies changes to all copies of a gradient in a document when this gradient is changed via a script. It makes sense from a practical point of view, but is devastating for scripts in general.

   We can’t duplicate gradients with a script properly, like we can do with any other swatch, because when it's done, the gradient swatch get forcibly added to Swatches and then corrupt the art which uses them when deleted... and it does not break this global link anyway.

   At the moment we copy a gradient into the swatch, it will be associated with the first object. If we repaint the swatch to use it for another object, the first object will change its fill momentarily.    So we 'instance' gradients instead of 'duplicating' them.
   Creating a new gradient via script also creates a new swatch. Deleting either the new gradient or the new swatch also deletes the other. If the need is to get rid of the swatch but not the gradient, that doesn’t look to be possible via with the current APIs. Perhaps we need a new API to delete just the swatch and not the associated global (gradient, pattern etc.).

   Having this will allow us to keep gradient changes on one object from affecting other objects. To duplicate, a new gradient will be created and a copy of all gradient properties (type, number of stops, stops) will be performed, via existing app.activeDocument.gradients.add()
   Then we will be able to delete the swatch with a new API without crashing Illustrator.

6. Workspace layout seems to constantly change over time. Keep it more fluent and natural

   I can arrange workspaces, rearrange them, add new ones, remove some and so on and on and on. My issue is that somehow, the tools and panels I want are never at hand when I need them.

   It's so subtle that I can't put my finger on the exact issue. But it's suddenly occurred to me that as far as I can remember, I'm always rearranging the workspace layout in Illustrator to get the tools I need, but I don't have this issue in other Adobe apps. I've been using Illustrator as my core graphic design tool for around 8/9 years.

   This has slowly been dawning on me. I think there's a lot of things going on here.

   • Issue: For Premiere Pro I can sync workspaces to my account. I presumed this is standard behaviour for all Adobe apps. However I have always used the same account and I have several times over the years set up custom workspaces in Illy. But I've just looked now and I can't see any - I don't know when they disappeared or why but it's happened.

   • Solution: synchronise workspaces to my Adobe account. Keep them there regardless of Illustrator version. Sync to all computers using my account.

   • Issue: Popups. In more recent years, I seem to get popups appear about once a week about something that I'm not at all interested in, usually some irrelvant new feature. I open Illustrator to work, not to play around with the latest features.

   • Solution: please get rid of these popups and tutorials unless I ask for them. The things I do in Illy, I know how to do. If I don't know a feature, I probably don't use it.

   • Issue: Sometimes the workspace opens on the same one as last time when I open Illustrator. Sometimes it doesn't. Not sure what the expected behaviour is here, but usually it seems to open on "Essentials". Every time, I switch to "Essentials Classic" and then add any other panels I need. Unless I have a custom workspace that hasn't disappeared yet.

   • Solution: every time I open Illustrator, switch to the last workspace I was using.

   • Issue: Over time as UI design changes, the workspaces change too. I get it, you add more features, you play around with the default workspaces. But please don't make it affect me.

   • Solution: Add more features if you like but don't push them out to my workspaces unless I want them. Ask me if I want to switch / update workspaces.

   • Issue: Workspaces always seem to be resetting and panels I add to my workspace disappear next time I open Illy.

   • Solution: Auto save changes to workspaces as they're made. Even default workspaces, just save the changes.

   That's just a few things that are obvious to me. But the whole workspace just seems to fluctuate often, and I just want to get the tools up that I use and keep them handy instead of rebuilding my workspace every time I open Illustrator.

7. Retain layer blend modes from Photoshop when placing in Illustrator.

   Please, allow the layer blend modes from Photoshop files to be retained when placing them in Illustrator. It's done within Corel, it should be native to Adobe products.

8. Allow transparency mask for new 3D function

   I've used the transparency mask function combined with symbols and 3D (Classic) for a long time to create complex objects with ease. This is such a great combination, and it would be wonderful if you could keep the possibility to use transparency masks with the new version. This is not the case today, see provided image for explanation.

10. Artboard Mod

    IDK anything, just learning tried multiple products so far AI is the only one I have accomplished anything in. My current issue may just be just be user error due to the lack of knowledge and experience. So I am designing new dash panels for an antique kenworth truck. The panels are flat with lots of round holes I have the old panels and have been taking measurements from them but I have experienced 2 problems #1 is that AI measures from the edge of the art board. #2 I cant seem use the edge of the art board as the edge of the project because it cant be modified to have radius corners and wiggles and skwiggles its very much stuck as a rectangle

11. Unembed filename and format

    I don't get why images can't be unembedded in the original format they were embedded in, but assuming there's some internal format limitation, there's certainly no reason why all the unembedded images should default to the generic "AI_Image.psd" filename when you have the original filename right there in the links palette!!!!
    Throw us a bone here, please!

12. Blend annotator

    It would be good if the blend tool worked like the gradient annotator where you can weight the blend along the linear axis using sliders to quickly adjust the spacing of the blended objects.

13. File Save Options - Recovery data location

    I'm running the latest version of Illustrator (26.2.1 as I'm writing this) but my data recovery preferences are somehow stuck at the location for Illustrator 20 and the application warns me every time that it can't save recovery data for the current document. I can change this, I know, but that still just keeps it then stuck at the location for version 26, and will presumably break again when version 27 is released.
    What I need is some way to restore the default behaviour which would (presumably) automatically update to the correct relative location for the current application version.

14. Allow clipping paths to have complex appearances.

    Currently, a clipping path can only have one stroke, one fill, no effects, no brushes, no multiple fills/strokes. Well, it can have all the fills, strokes, effects, and other stuff your heart desires, but only one fill and one stroke will be displayed.

    I would really like this to change. I use a lot of complex appearance stacks and working around this makes things complicated.

    To make this play nicely with existing art, there probably needs to be a switch somewhere for backwards compatibility with existing art that may have a lot of complex appearances on clipping masks.

    There also probably needs to be some support for deciding exactly where the masked art goes with regards to multiple fills. Probably by putting the usual "Contents" entry into the Appearance panel for clipping paths.

    I don't have a feeling right now on how bitmap effects should alter a clipping path's actual clipping area, but I do feel like vector effects applied to the entire path, whether above all the fills/strokes, or below them, should alter the clipping area.

15. Image Trace Default black and white preset is grayscale after expanding

    When you Image Trace, using the default black and white tracing preset and expand - the black and white are grayscale. When you double click the fill in the toolbar to choose a new color for the black or white, the resulting color is a shade of gray. Then, you have to go to the Color panel and change the sliders to a different color model to be able to see the color you chose. It would be easier if the black and white were aligned with the document color mode, RGB or CMYK instead. You don't encounter this issue if you apply color from a saved swatch, only when using the color picker.

    STOP to change interface items and options possition everytime. I need to have my tools everytime in the same place, for the rest of my life, that's effective and productive. is a waste of time and energy to be looking everytime where this morning design team have put some tools and items in the interface. 17. Type tool does not keep selected color

    If I have one fill color selected on the type tool, it changes to black the moment I click on the artboard to begin typing. It needs to stay the selected color for all tools. I shouldn't have to go back and change the color.

18. Add RANDOMIZE button (RANDOM SEED) for 3D Materials like Substance 3D has.

    Add a Randomize button (RANDOM SEED) for the sbsar materials that we import when working with 3D within Illustrator. This way, 3D objects, look different within your work. Example from Stager as to what I mean that would like implemented in Ai.

19. CMYK Support for svgs - make use from the device-CMYK attribute

    When opening an .svg File that got several device-cmyk Params set, i would love to choose (e.g. by popup) which colors i would like to use for the svg - the rgb colors set as a fill or the device-cmyk colors. It would make svgs printable
