  1. Cursor at the end of document name field during "Save as"

    When you "Save as," the cursor automatically appears at the end of the document name in the document name field - i.e. right after the file name extension. I never need to edit the file name extension, as I can do that in the dropdown menu, but I DO need to edit the name of the document. This, combined with the fact that there's now a lag of a few seconds before you can type in the document name field (submitted in separate comment), is making saving different versions of the same file veeeery annoying.

  2. Select multiple identical objects and make each its own group.

    I'd love to see a feature in which you could select a bunch of similar objects, each of which had multiple parts, and it would automatically make each individual object into its own group. For example, I just drew an oval with a line down the middle - which is a leaf. I copied and pasted it 100 times but didn't make it into it's own group first (oops). If I could just select them all and make each it's own group, it would save me going back and grouping them first and doing it all again. They're a pain…

  3. Would be nice to add an additional document color mode with CMYW or CMYKW

    Would be nice to see a feature to include the color white in the document color mode as either CMYW or CMYKW as an addition. There are printers that use all 5 printer color inks. (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, and White)

    Special printers that utilize white ink to print onto black (or dark-colored) t-shirts can be useful if white is included in the document color mode in Illustrator. This will play a huge role making white more vibrant from the printer.

  5. Accessibility of tutorial videos, for users with hearing impairment

    I am a new creative cloud user and need to use Illustrator as part of my university course so wanted to access the learn ‘how to’ tutorials, but found the video tutorials for Illustrator does not have ‘closed captions’ nor printable version of the text. I checked some of the other Adobe programs within creative cloud and they are the same, so I contacted Adobe online chat who sent me on to an online dedicated adviser. I was then told no accessibility options available for the tutorial videos.

    Please could you pass my feedback to Adobe….

  6. Libraries panel background

    Can we stop changing the look of the Libraries panel.?!?!?
    Can we have an option to adjust the transparency's of the links? so they view better with a darker background?

  7. Allow "Welcome to Illustrator" presets to be customized to actual user presets

    When the landing or launch page for Illustrator CC2021 opens, there is a box of presets under the line "Welcome to Illustrator.

    This system will not allow a drop or upload of either an AI nor JPG screenshot...the default presets are Postcard, Letter, Common, iPhone X, HDTV 1080p and "More Presets."

    In my case, I never use any one of those presets, so I have to click "Create New" or "More Presets," which are the same outcomes, then click my way through the various options to get to "Web Large."

    It would be nice if (a) the user could enhance…

  8. Views haven't updated in a while

    Views haven't updated in a while. I can't figure out why. can anyone help me? this process slows down my work so much.

  9. Untie the Transform Patterns checkbox in General Options and Transform Effect dialog.

    Sometimes (actually pretty often) it is necessary to alter a pattern size for one single object. So you go to Appearance -> Fill -> Effects -> Distort and Transform -> Transform and there you have checkboxes to chose whether to transform object or pattern or both and that is great.
    But once you have done this (for one single object) this setting changes the general Option under Preferences->General and this setting affects the entire app, not this file only and you must change it back each time. And that is not that great.

  10. Export with Grid

    I tried to search for how to export a document with the grid visible and found some results in Google, but couldn't apply any of them. Over an hour chatting with a Help Agent, I was told it can't be done. Why wouldn't there be an option to export/print with the grid on?
    I've been learning how to do Floor Plans using Illustrator (since I already have Creative Cloud) and got reprimanded for handing in an assignment without a grid...imagine my frustration that it's not even an option AND that it took over an HOUR of chatting with someone to…

    Please change the name Export to Screens. It seems like saving low Res files in RGB just for screens. Also need presets that can be used next time.

  14. Make Keyboard Shortcuts and Action panel both see shared conflicts

    You can assign F-keys to panels in Keyboard Shortcuts.
    You can assign F-keys to actions in Actions.
    But they know nothing about each other.

    When you try assign a combination that is already taken by another command, Keyboard Shortcuts window will warn you and give ways to solve the conflict... but not if the F-key-combination is taken by an action — it knows nothing about actions.

    Same with Actions panel — it knows nothing about Keyboard Shortcuts and never warns you, if you try to set, say, Shift+F8, which will disable native Transform panel call.

    Please let these two work…

  15. There are a number of issues with Adobe Libraries - Recovery, Archive, Search

    Library backups/Recovery - I have just had an issue of losing a library of over 200+ logos. Whether this was because of a glitch or human error isn’t clear. One thing that is clear is that there is currently no way of recovering libraries.

    Archive old libraries - Also we have old libraries which we spent time creating for all of our clients. Half of these clients are no longer working with us, we need to keep their folders incase they re engage with us however they are cluttering up the menu.

    Search function - The search function seems useless.…

  16. Add the ability to select multiple files to open at once from the Home Screen

    The home screen in AI, IND & PSD NEEDS a Multi-Select feature to easily open multiple recent files at once.

  17. Raster Effects Resolution

    Currently the Raster Effects Resolution has only 4 options 300/150/72 & 36 ppi. At times, specially when working for CMYK prints, the designer needs a specific resolution which is currently not available. I would suggest that there should be Custom option to input the desired resolution.

  19. Adding Scale next to Units in Preferences

    I would like to be able to work with scales. For example sometimes I design large objects that don't fit the working area and using scales would be much easier to have a real idea of the dimensions of the object. I would like to be able to choose scales 1:5, 1:25, 1:50 and see the scaled dimension in "Properties/Transform" .

  20. Select all the value at once

    Is it possible when clicking on a value such the shape, dimensions or text height etc. to select all the value so it can be replaced faster. Right now I have to delete the values number by number or select all with Ctrl-A then delete.
    It would be appreciated if you have the option to select all when clicking on it.
    It will save a lot of time.
