  2. change stroke color of custom brush

    I've downloaded a few custom brushes & their colors don't change. They're black, that's it, no matter what stroke color I choose in the palette. I don't like having to expand their appearance just to change their color. In a few projects that I'm working on, I want to be able to try a few different brushes in the color that I like (and be able to change that color, too) + at any point that I wish to change that brush again in the future & maintain that color.   3. bug: Screen turns black after choosing width tool

    In between bugs I still try to make something in Illustrator, and now this happened:

    1. I hit Shift + W on the keyboard to select the width tool.
    2. Instead of the width tool cursor, the cursor became a black rectangle.
    3. I noticed both the Selection tool and width tool were selected in the tools window.
    4. I dicided to click on an Anchor anyway, and the screen turned black. The video signal went off, monitor went on standby. The HDD/SSD light on the PC was flashing nonstop. PC did not respond to anyting (I think, but I could not see because…

  6. Finished art / dtp related issue

    New Bug
    in the latest version of AI , overprinting type objects all of a sudden have the correct colour i asigned & the correct overprint or knockout behaviour in the attribute field, however, if you generate seps or activate seperation preview it shows that type boxes remember their previous colour & setting - however they are showing the newly assigned setting but the behaviour does not match

    i believe it originates if type boxes are grouped to other type boxes or objects, if i have a group of various elements, it should allow me without ungrouping & entering each…

  7. Make the brush and pencil tools respond to color changes. Place a color selection box in Paintbrush Tool Options

    I cannot change colors on Brush and Pencil tools. I researched many Q & A threads and none of the answers solved the problem. Fill new brush strokes does not work for the brush or pencil tools.

  8. CC Library Items give wrong preview when dragged to artboard.

    Objects dragged from a CC library as linked give sometimes a wrong preview.
    Switching to CPU preview or dragging an embedded copy can solve it .

  10. Please make center of circles to show up when I drag anything inside of them to snap to

    Windows 10 PC, Illustrator CC:
    I'm trying to connect lines to the centers of circles, since this program has a problem snapping to center points of circles, I need to highlight a circle and hold ctrl to get the center of the circle to show up. Many times I try this there is simply no center point showing which doesn't make any sense. Please have all circles center points appear once you are dragging inside the circle in the work area. It would be nice if they snapped to the center as well.

  16. Smart Guides HUD says 'Interect', when snapping to the Center of the Artboard

    Since the introduction of Smart Guides, the info given when snapping to the center of the Artboard is incorrect. It says 'Intersect' in stead of 'Center'. This is confusing. We want to know if it is the Center we're snapping to.

  19. Allow Save Options to be Skipped

    Personally, I'd like to skip the extra dialog after I name my file and click the Save button.

    If I actually want to alter any of the settings, I'd prefer to do it by actively clicking an [Format] Options button in the Save dialog (opening a new dialog) rather than after already naming the file and clicking the Save button.

    Sometimes performance is slow enough that it takes some time for the next dialog to even show, which breaks my workflow as I move on to other tasks in other apps, thinking my file is safely saved already (I did…

  20. Correctly include vector objects from previous Illustrator version files

    A customer file created in CC 15 MAC and (according to tech support) using a CS/3 template does not open properly in CC 18. a group of objects appear as a missing linked file rather that the actual objects. However CS/5 opens the file and placed the vector objects inside a clip mask properly, allowing access to the vector path information. Why would CC18 not have the same capability? Worse, why would it confuse the issue stating a linked file is missing? The vector info is obviously in the file (since it appears in CS/3 and CS/5, get that info…
