  1. Remove extra boxes get generated when a scatter brush is expanded

    When I outlined the stroke of a scatter brush it adds a box around the shape, not useful at all. Should be the way it was before, now I have to delete all the little boxes to change the colour

  2. Sometimes when I use the Shift (m) tool, I get duplicate layers. Is there a tool to only select the top layers and delete bottom layers?

    Sometimes when using the shift (m) tool, I delete out centers of objects, and then it creates multiple layers as duplicates. I must put a stroke on the top layer so that It can be cut out by my plotter. Well if there are duplicate layers, then all the layers get the same stroke, and then my plotter cuts multiple cut lines. Is there a tool to only highlight the top showing layers, and delete any duplicate layers underneath?

  3. Artboard Resizing

    Would like to be able to resize the artboards in both directions with a preview.
    I'm sometimes having an issue where I can't resize the artboard in both directions x & y. Also now there is no preview for this operation like in previous versions.

    Dear Developers of Illustrator CC and Management team, i have seen the list of all of your pretty names in about illustrator section and can now play "How many Kumars worked on the latest version" game. It may be different in your culture and menthality, like you have more patience, tolerance, you think strategically and working on the long term goals or such.   5. Slices

    I have created a logo and it saves in slices, and at one point in it's own folder, which I didn't ask it to do, I don't want that. Also the Illustrator program is to big, it falls off the screen at times and Photoshop is to small, I need a magnifying glass can they both be fixed so they can fit properly on the screen. Also now and then all the colors in swatch window disappears.

  6. Allow to see full name past artboard extent / Don't truncate artboards' captions

    The artboard name is restricted to the size of the artboard, which truncates the name and makes it illegible. Better logic would be to only shorten the name if it collides with another artboard name.

  7. If an active text area is way off-screen, end text entry and treat keyboard input as shortcuts.

    If you have been typing in a text area and pan away somewhere else, continuing to type results in the view port being dragged part of the way back to the active text area with the first key stroke and the rest of the way on the second.

    Typing into an off-screen text area is almost always a mistake for me and usually results in a text area that is now empty except for a Space, V, T or A character from my most common keyboard shortcuts. I'd prefer if it just registered that I probably didn't want to type…

  8. Give Illustrator stand alone software buy.........

    You really should let ppl buy standalone software like Photoshop and Premiere is now..

    WTF not with Illustrator? and the other softwares...

    I won't be using it much so paying under a subscription is too much....

  11. There is a double layer enabled at the launching screen and New File screen

    Upon opening the 2018 CC apps the welcome/launch and the New File screens have 2 layers attached and thus makes it hard to select the file or action that I want.

    Please add a feature to the AI Action to able to record "Object > Make Pixel Perfect". It's needed when I prepare bitmap assets for HTML5 Advertising in Animate CC

  13. Ai File icon turned upside down

    Hi. I have updated the ai to version cc 2018 and all the icons of my files in ai format turned upside down. It makes me feel annoyed even it does not hinder me from opening and working on the files. May i know how this can be fixed?

  14. Use arrow keys to kern letterforms

  15. Adobe installers for Mac install corrupt files

    Adobe installers for Mac install corrupt files, as shown by DiskWarrior "Files - Check All Files and Folders”. For instance:

    /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager/LWA/amtservices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/._Info.plist

    /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager/LWA/asneu.framework/Versions/A/Resources/._Info.plist

    It would be great if Adobe checked that to make sure all files are OK before releasing installers. Thanks.

  16. Colours in Diagramms adjust to numbers

    It would be cool that if I create a pie chart that I can name a "master colour" and Illustrator automatically adjust the colour transparency in percent. Or if I could say these are my colors, combine them in a smart way so that a bar chart gets a smart gradient

  17. "Effects" in menu when right clicking a selected object similar to InDesign.

    In InDesign I can select an object and then right click on a PC and the menu that appears shows shows "effects." Illustrator should do that as well.

  18. libCC remain path aspect vs PDF like

    When incorporating an object from a library, (but the same behavior occurs if the file is placed) the Object lose all the appeareance and is imported as expanded wth some "clipping path added"

    however, the Appearance information is still in the file because if you ask to edit the original all is fine.

    Could it be possible to add a preference in the "embed" menu to ask if you embed as "Pdf" or as "AICB" the same dialog you can have in Saving Clipboard Prefs ?

    This could be really valuable.

    Hi Jean-Michel,

    Press the Option key while dropping graphics from CC Library to artboard in Illustrator to bring the ‘original’ AI content. This will directly embed the graphic. Without the Option key it places the graphic, and all AI files get placed as PDF, hence the issues.

    Does the Option key work for you?

  19. stop Live corners assumptions

    When drawing with the curvature, I haven't tested with regular pen, if you draw a mix of corners and somewhat curved surfaces, then you go back to add some nice radiused corners, you will likely be annoyed by illustrator Thinking that you intended to draw a giant chamfer.

    This should not be happening. Seems like a bug. The corner should not become a chamfer unless you do an Option-click on the live corner widget. Could you please share more details on when this happens?

  20. Unable to Make sunbeams in Illustrator.

    In Pixelmator for Mac, in generators, I can create a sun beam. I need this for a project I am working on for a client for there business logo but do to its design I can make it into vector. so I need to be able to create it from scratch in illustrator but it lacks the ability to, see recording attached or link. I need "exactly" what you see as vector no lame alternatives, unless you can do better.
