When I try to type something it is shown with some prepared text
When i try to click the T button to create new text, it is shown already made some text example with a tag. This tag is hidden and if I click "show hidden character" it is shown with #.
Can I start with completely blind text function without this suggested pre-made alphabet arrangement looks like some word (but doesn't make sense, it is just look like preview of the text)?1 voteThe # symbol marks is included into any text at all, to help designers to see where text ends. There are other hidden characters that mark column breaks, paragraph returns, line breaks, special space symbols, etc.
The text that gets inserted when you create a new text helps to quickly see how text would behave on canvas with set font parameters. You can disable this option in Preferences > Type > Fill New Type Objects With Placeholder Text, if you find this irritating.

Please restore "Lettering" in the Trace presets
I cannot match prior documents with the new advanced settings.
I trace documents of text to be made into glass etchings and the previous "Lettering" preset in CS 5.5. Illustrator was perfect but the new sliders don't produce results as clean as previously.1 vote -
Please consider resizing second artboard (14,400 x 14,400) on video presets
While the second artboard on the video presets is incredibly useful so imported art doesn't get cut off in After Effects, it is unnecessarily large. I can't imagine that anyone is actively storing art to be animated from off screen 7,000 pixels above or below the main artboard. Many people think this artboard is a mistake, but it would be far more useful if it were about 3000x3000 in a 1920x1080 document. Hitting Cmd/Ctrl+1 to "Fit Artboard to View" often zooms out to show the gigantic artboard because it is automatically selected any time you click outside of the main artboard. This makes that command less useful if you want to simply deselect your art (by clicking outside of your main artboard, which also selects artboard 2) and have your artboard fill your view. Cmd/Ctrl+0 to show your artboard at actual size is a useful command, but it's not always what I want to do.

Too small to use?
When scaling down a complex drawing especially one created by image trace it often says cannot complete the operation because it would make some objects too small to use. So how can i scale my group? Can you just disappear those objects? If they are too small to use they must be too small to see so make them go away. Or it could automatically select them so you have the option to delete them. It seems silly that i can't make something the size i need because a part of it is too small to use. I'm on mac os sierra 10.12.8 and my adobe applications are up to date.1

Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.Been on hold with support for 1/2 hour. Not my machine i don't believe you have tried it. you would have to make really small objects. you are just brushing me off. Not happy with support quality.

Fix the speed of the UI response time; it's unusable.

incorrect color assignments
Actions to change path color to black instead turn the path white on the first try. Repeating the exact same action flow a second time in a row turns the path black.

Allow a new feature to resize workspace so the page doesn't get hidden behind the dock
Several of us on Adobe Forums experience the same issue for many years. Often times the workspace window gets hidden behind the dock, or even below the visible area of the monitor, there is currently no way to adjust this. I am trying to resize the window of my current workspace and I cannot. Bottom right corner not visible. It's a shame that after 18 years of using this application we still have basic issues like this. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thank you so much.

Hide or gray out panels on second screen, if InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc. is in background / currently not in use.
When I am working with 2 or 3 or more Adobe Programs at same time, I have all the panels from all the programms on a second screen. If just one programm is open, then it is fine. But if there are more Adobe Programs running like Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and so on at same time, the screen is full of panels. There are no way to distinguish which panel belongs to which program. That disturbs the workflow. Back in the time of Windows XP and CS products, the panels of the Programs that were not currently used were grayed out.

It's better if you increase or make a custom image trace more than 16 you have.

Newly added item/layer place on layer above rather than below
when designer designs a page, it is natural to design from top to bottom. But currently when I add a new item on a page, Illustrator create a new layer ABOVE my last item/layer, and it makes things hard to find and hard to organize. If we can reverse the order of a new layer created, to match a natural work flow, it would be extremely helpful. Please see the screenshot on what I mean.

iCloud Compatibility
I was just at Apple the other day because my Macbook Pro (2018, running Mojave) kept crashing when I would open it from sleeping. They told me something in the Adobe App Suite was causing this to happen. So I uninstalled apps, then reinstalled them and it fixed the crashing upon waking issue.
However, when I tried to use Illustrator, it was very buggy, glitchy, would freeze up. I contacted support and they told me the only solution is to sign out of iCloud to use Illustrator. I don't even have any Adobe related files in my iCloud, but it is my primary account I use to sync calendars and email.
It seems crazy to me that I can't even be signed into iCloud in order for Illustrator to function properly, considering none of my files are even stored in iCloud.

Allow links to be embedded when link is missing, rather than showing an empty box
If a link is missing from my file, rather than hunt down the link, I create a new file, and embed the file with the missing link in it. Once it's been embedded I have the high res raster image, just not necessarily with the same name. Much like photoshop tells you raster info will be used for fonts, or missing links use raster info it would be great if Illustrator gave you the option to embed. It may only be possible for images with full PDF compatibility, but it'd be a great improvement!

SVG code for current document visible in non modal view
When fine-tuning SVG files, the ergonomics of the workflow are far less than optimal. This is especially problematic because SVG supports only a subset of what is possible in Illustrator.
A round trip to some other app, or viewing code via the export modal feels awkward and is certainly time-consuming. Worse, it takes me away from the main Illustrator editor where my art is actually visible/editable.
Can't we have a panel which shows the SVG code 'live', without having to visit the file menu. It need not be an editable code view, but 'pretty printing' and perhaps code folding would be extremely useful! This panel would be kept in sync with the current document (when open). The SVG export settings might be present as controls on the panel, but otherwise it could just use what is set in the Save As... dialog box.
Tightening this feedback loop would take a lot of the guesswork out of SVG production with Illustrator.
9-slice scaling, for example, is not supported in SVG - and the only way to find out is to try and fail.

Need to be able to design an imege of W 3000CM and 2500 H
As Illustrator work with Vector files. Vector graphics are computer graphics images that are defined in terms of 2D points. They can be scaled to a bigger size.

Allow the existing file to remain active when using "Save as"
When working in AI in a native file format, then saving as a different file format (ie PDF), the new file format is now the active file. In InDesign and PS, when you "Save as," your new file is saved in a folder but you are still able to continue working on your native ID or PSD file. I wish Illustrator would work this way, too. Or am I missing something in settings to fix this?
1 voteUse 'Save a copy' command instead of 'Save as', it does exactly what you want.
