Ellipse Tool Properties/Dialogue
Ellipse Tool, if make an ellipse then you have a little squire pointing to make ellipse’s End Angle and Pie Angle, but you do not have these feature available in its properties/Dialogue/Menu when you just select Ellipse Tool and you clip on the canvas or on Art Board you have no control features for that and you also do have the same features in Control Bar and Useless Properties Panel. I hope in the future version there must be added a dialogue for proper setting and measurements like retangle tool.

Distortion tool like the feature in Photoshop
Could you please add a distortion feature in Illustrator, such as the one in Photoshop, for clipping mask objects and linked images? I know that Illustrator already has one called 'envelope distort' but I find it difficult to use.

Align to object on ANOTHER artboard! yeah yeah!
Aligning to an object on another arboard would be really great + needed, for AI users.
In addition to functions like, align to key object and select/edit similar shapes,
It would be so so great to be abled to align an object, to another object, on another artboard! In short:
Aligning objects to the position of other objects on other artboards.
Without having to move objects to the same artboard 1st, or copy their x/y values, just for alignment. Some thoughts/notes:
Implementation,
With artboard rules activated, of course. This seems to be a similar function to the ones that exist: Like the align to key object option and the align to artboard option. I can Imagine it would take relatively little coding to implement this. Though, what to gain from this feature would be very much worth it.Scenario, where this is needed,
When working with multiple artboards, often I need to cut and past objects to align them to another artboard, and back. Just to align them to of an object over there. Many ways to rome of course. But all vary from being time consuming task that need to be repeated to often, to actually causing faults in documents.
Other ways, for example:
Cutting and pasting the object that needs to be aligned, to the artboard containing the object that needs alignment / vice versa.
Cutting and pasting X and Y values.
Using the select/edit similar object (if similar). In the end, all available options are time consuming actions that can even cause faults.
Examples of faults: values ending up within positions in the artwork, that might be missed and actually end up in your client corrections feedback. Even if you are super precise, within large documents, a more reliable option would be welcome for this task. Other examples, cutting and pasting, taking extra actions/time to lock and unlock other layers, or having object ending up in the wrong layers, causing ..more actions.Efficiency, user experience, workflow/time,
All of the mentioned examples of faults that can happen, can off course (if you know your basics well) be prevented. But I think anybody who does work wit AI often, would agree this task could work much more intuitive. There are so many details to it, that make this simple task, you execute so often, very unpractical, and to comprehensive.Select/edit similar shapes, is often not the option that works out:
- What if (this is many times), the object needing to be aligned is not similar and/or not on the same artboard.
- Or even when similar: often the key object that is positioned right, was moved already (the creation process is not entirely planned ahead). In that case new problems arise, that could all be resolved simply. A great solution would be to to select one of those, align it to an object on another artboard.
Examples:
Other objects on other artboards, that are similar, still need to be aligned to that one.
- Select/edit similar objects does not work in combination with selecting an object that you want to align them to.
- If they are all in scattered positions, editing the position of these similar objects by moving a key object, moves them all accordingly, but keeps them scattered, instead of aligned.
- So.. they will ALL need to be either replaced, or.. aligned ONE BY ONE..I could go on.
I am a bad writer and not a native English speaker,
However, I hope this is a convincing case for both users and developers, that will be implemented.:) Thanks for reading and kind regards!

Split / Divide Paths into equal parts
It would be useful being able to split a path into a specific amount of equal parts. Tools like including the possibility to include a gutter like the tools we find in the "Split into Grid" option would be superb too.
There are ways around to get it. but in makes the whole process tedious and not what someone would expect from software like Adobe Illustrator in 2020.
PS: It also doesn't make sense that we can not sing in with our Adobe Account into this specific UserVoice forum. But I guess that paying our membership doesn't makes our opinion more relevant. Or should do?

3D Revolve Perspective is Always Off Center
The perspective setting for the 3D revolve effect seems to be centered on the OBJECT being revolved rather than the AXIS of the revolve. That means that adding any perspective skews the object off-center (see lower cylinder in attached example screenshot).
Could a setting be added to shift the center of the perspective to the axis (among other options)? Sorry if a setting exists and I just can't find it.

Simulate color blindness for accessibility
It would be nice to be able to quickly check my work for accessibility. A button group/panel that lets me switch between protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, and monochromacy would be really useful. Arguably, a monochromatic view is useful outside of accessibility, allowing one to check the tonal or value relationships in a design. This feature is not only applicable in Illustrator but across many of your products.

Paste into selected object
Very easy to paste easily from the clipboard to the selected object.
⌘ + alt + shift = paste into selected object.Currently, the option is complicated and not intuitive. A lot of time.

Merge multiple vector files files
It would be very beneficial if you could target two or more files (.ai/.svg./eps/pdf) and merge all artboards in each of those files into one new document. There are scripts out there to merge multiple files but they often ignore the original artboard size or only merge the first artboard in each of the source files. This would save so much production time such as for Ui design, merging stock assets.
Thank you for reading!

Auto guides
My workflow would be so much quicker if when you draw a box or shape, you could hit a command that creates auto guides vertically and horizontal centrally to just that box.

Distribute / align on edges of an artboard or a shape
A request to add two buttons to the "Align" options :
distributing shapes on an artboard in order to have equal spaces between those two shapes AND the edges of the artboard.
This could work with more than two shapes, and artboard could also be replaced by another shape (like a background color...).This should be clearer with a picture...

Improved curve tools: splines
I think curve drawing in illustrator could learn a lot from 3d design software like Fusion360 but particularly Rhino: the options to draw curves there are very very advanced and allow for extreme precision and manipulability

Change values of recorded actions
It would be great if the values of recorded actions can be changed in the actions panel.

Find and Replace Text in Object Name in the Layers Panel
Add the ability to perform a find and replace in the names of object. For example: If I have a seating chart with 10 rows, I want to be able to name each seat in the row such as "Row A - Seat 1", "Row A - Seat 2", etc...
After I create one row then copy and paste it to create Row B, I need the ability to highlight that grouping and replace all the "A"s with "B"s and so forth with each row.
See attachment as an example

Copy / Apply object coordinates
Copy object coordinates / Apply object coordinates would be useful when you want to move an object temporarily, or apply the same coordinates to another object.

Highlight Pantone swatch in Pantone palette
It used to be when you selected a pantone swatch in your palette, it would highlight the same pantone swatch in the pantone pallete. Somehow in the last couple years, this feature has been lost. The reason it is helpful is I can quickly find my pantone and pick a color deeper or lighter than it by looking to the left or right of that swatch. Right now, to find a pantone color, I need to type in the color and of course the only result is going to be that color. I can't see what is to the right (darker) or left (lighter).

Open the color picker with a single click
In Photoshop and XD the color pickers open with a single click. I can't think of any reason why we need to double click in illustrator

Toggle Lasso tool
When using the direct select tool, use a key modifier to toggle the lasso tool rather than always having to completely switch tools to get the lasso tool.

Remove Onboarding features as they get in the way of me trying to do my job
It can be extremely frustrating to have popover windows introduce features or to say "hey let's start designing". I'm already trying to design by firing up illustrator and opening a file. I'm busy and just need to get some work done for a deadline. I don't need you asking the obvious or interrupting me from completing my job.
I get that you want to help me know that new features exist, but please, please, do that in a way that doesn't force me to acknowledge your popover when I open up a file that already exists. Or even if i don't open a new file. You can assume I know that I can use illustrator to start designing...

Enhanced Miter Join with Obelisk/Chisel options for shortening spikes スパイクを短縮するためのオベリスク/チゼルオプションによるマイター結合の強化
Instead of Miter Joins just defaulting to Bevel Joints when the Miter Limit is too low, Obelisk/Chisel options can give a whole range of symmetric/asymmetric shortening of spikes, for the whole path through the Stroke palette and/or as a more flexible feature like live Corners applicable to one/more/all joins.
Described and shown in the thread below where just a few possible shapes and uses are included.
