Put all Blend options and commands into one dialog / panel
Blend Tool > Blend Options Panel stinks, nothing personal.
I use the Blend tool. A lot. When I start a blend, the Properties Panel helpfully tells me that I have a Blend. Thanks for that. But I still have to go to Object > Blend > Blend Options to get any options for the Blend tool. What if the Blend tool options would magically appear in the Properties panel while I'm using that tool? Also, the Blend Options panel will not let me make any changes to the blend other than Spacing or Orientation. How about putting the other Blend Options (Expand, Release, Reverse Spline, etc.) in the Blend Options panel so that I can make or preview changes to the blend without having to click Object > Blend > Blend Options each time?

New artboard default to spacing set in Rearrange artboard panel
It would be useful if when you create a new artboard that the spacing between it and the previous one reflects the spacing you have defined in the 're-arrange artboards' panel.
Currently it defaults to something around 7/8mm which is annoying when you have artwork that spills over, as moving the artboard drags the artwork with it. I know you can turn that feature off, but the spacing defaulting to what you've already defined would still be very useful.
36 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

link panel shows what layer the (missing) link is on and/or makes 'go to link' work on hidden layers too.
When links are missing that are on a hidden layer there is no way to easily spot them and check on in multilayered files. Since the GoToLink function only works on active layers, there is no other way but showing ALL layers and then using this function, remembering the layer and then hide the layers again; a painstaking procedure with large multilayered files. Would be nice if the link panel would simply state on which layer the missing link resides. Or make the GoToLink function automatically make the appropriate layer visible, like when pasting onto a hidden layer with 'paste remembers layers' on.

Keyboard shortcut for Properties panel
There is a keyboard shortcut to go to any other windows option except this.. I don't know if it is because it is a new feature, but this should really be implemented... Can there be a mappable keyboard shortcut for the new properties panel on illustrator
10 votesYou can assign a custom hotkey for Properties panel in the Menu Commands section of the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog in the latest Ai versions

Change values with scrubbing sliders
It would be great if, as Photoshop, we can just click and drag on the text dialogs to quickly “scrub” values.

pencil tool selection behaviour adjusmtent
A detail that im missing from the legacy pencil tool.
Its a missing detail in the option keep to path selected or deselected after being drawn.
When this option is unchecked the object is deselected.
If the path is selected again to be drawn upon to adjust the shape. It deselects it again.
Now thats all logical and according to what the option says its supposed to do.BUT
The legacy pencil tool before its rewrite it worked almost like that but not quite the same, and it was great.
So you had the option to have the path deseletced after drawing.
BUT if you den reselected it it stayed selected for as long as you needed it to adjust the shape. So to be clear im gonna try to describe th procees
Draw shape
Shape drawn, not selected.
Select the drawn shape to draw on it to adjust it, its selected, you drawon on it, it still stays selected. This was very useful. Because usually you just want it deselected on first draw, but sometimes you need to go in and adjust a particular shape and then youre mentall in the mode of massaging that shape and want it selected till youre done.
Please try the old pencil tool out and you will understand what i mean.
Please impelement this again.Basically that the shape only deselect upon first draw. If reselected again it stays selected till you decide when to deselect it.
It worked like this for 20 years or however long the the pencil too has been around.A detail that im missing from the legacy pencil tool.

Make Animated zoom and Scrubby zoom as two different settings, as in Photoshop
I love the GPU animated zoom when scrubbing/dragging the canvas.
BUT no that it starts zooming automatically when the mouse is pressed down less than a second.
It’s extremely annoying. In Photoshop when you deactivate the Animated Zoom you can still scrub/drag the GPU zoom.
If you deactivate the Animated Zoom in Illustrator you can only do the classic stepped zoom, but not drag to have the animated zoom.
Can you add the feature to make it so that you can disable the automatic Animated Zoom but still keep the animated scrub/drag zoom please, just like in Photoshop.

Mixed Ink Swatch like Indesign.
Please add the Mixed Ink swatch like Indesign. This would simplify building files with varnish, white ink, and bump plates.

Angled Guidelines
I'm working on a typography piece right now and my guidelines look like this (see attached.) The black lines are straight strokes. I think it would be really neat to have an option for angled guidelines, so I don't have to mix vertical/horizontal guides with strokes.

Easier custom arrow head design
I use custom arrow heads for a lot of projects and would like an easier interface for creating and managing custom arrow heads. I want to be able to rearrange the order of the arrow heads available as well as have fine grained control over how the arrow head will scale with stroke size. Non-symmetrical arrow head support is important to my work as well.
Also, I really want to be able to place an arrow head at one end of a path at the tip and have the arrow head at the other end extend beyond the end of the path.
Thanks!

[View / Outline] low-contrast mode
Hi,
It would be really helpful for those of us working in low-light environments to have an inverted/low-contrast option for the 'Outline' view.
As it is, working on an all-white screen is very fatiguing. Having a simple switch to change the display from light to dark would be a welcomed QoL improvement.
I've attached two images showing how I see this implemented.
When "invert" is active I'd prefer the background not be pure-black but a dark shade of grey (shown as #1E1E1E here).
Another option could be to make the alternate mode adaptive, where the color scheme matches the users [Preferences / User Interface / Brightness ] setting.
Thanks

Rotate tool - centering bullseye needs to be larger
So it's easier to grab, if you don't get your mouse exactly, directly on it to move it, everything rotates where you don't want it

In the new properties, have the overflow menu at the top opposite the panel name.
Feels odd seeing the overflow menu at the bottom, where it almost looks like it's part of the panel above it. Also, by placing it at the top of each panel, this could have space.

Highlight the layer that is selected on the artboard
When selecting an object, it's extremely hard to find the layer. Can the layer be auto selected/highlighted when selecting an object?
3 votesWhen one or more objects of a Layer are selected, the Layer gets highlighted and also indicates a selection. To locate the object in the Layer panel – see if this works. Select the object, click on the Layer panel flyout menu and pick ‘Locate Object’.

Allow tool bar to be fixed horizontally on either top or bottom
Now that the properties has been finally set in the right panel, I love it! This allows me to have the layers set in the left panel. Next step, It would be nice to have the ability to set the tool bar above or below horizontally.

Typesetting formulas, mathematical equations and symbols in LaTeX-style
When typesetting mathematical formulas, LaTeX is the way to go and is the standard in many scientific areas. But a problem arises when mathematical symbols should be used in figures. If these figures are e.g. created in Illustrator, it is always a bit inconvenient to include the symbols in the figure. It is e.g. necessary to render the symbols separately and include them as EPS files in Illustrator or the symbols are added later to the figure by another program.
It would be really cool to have a build-in feature in Illustrator which would allow direct typesetting in the common LaTeX-style. Ideally, symbols are typed as e.g. \vec{u}_i, the text area is marked as mathematical formula and are then transformed to the proper symbol with a setting for the font to use (e.g. Latin Modern).
This feature might be realised in a step-by-step way: typesetting symbols in the $$ style is probably the easiest and most beneficial change for the user. Allowing separate equations in the \begin{equation} \end{equation} style would could be the next step.
I see two main advantages of this feature:
1. It improves efficiency a lot since it is much easier to include symbols and equations to figures.
2. It allows to store related content together. The symbols used in a figure are part of the figure, so it is only natural to store both in the same file and edit it with the same program. This makes changes to the figure much easier since everything is located and edited at the same place. When typesetting mathematical formulas, LaTeX is the way to go and is the standard in many scientific areas. Take that light bulb icon that accesses tutorials and push it further...
Take your tutorial access feature and push it further, make it a customizable recipe resource, not unlike a cookbook.
• Enable users to save (links to) tutorials relevant to their specific interests AND allow them to bookmark.
• This idea fits well with all your apps.
• Explore some ways to encourage users to post accessible tutorials on Adobe Cloud, formatted for this function. That would stimulate your apps community greatly. Example: Zbrush
Ps. The new properties feature is awesome. Thank you!2 votes -
Artboards in 2018 can no longer be rapidly deleted
In past versions of Illustrator, I was able to click on an artboard and continuously delete artboards until I had to ones that I want. Now when I select an artboard and delete it, the selection is deselected. I now have to continuously highight and delete, highlight and delete until I have removed all the artboards I need.
