Illustrator Internal Font Maker
I wanted to request Adobe Illustrator to be able to create and export a font file on its own. I know illustrator can export file types for font creation. I would love to not have to jump to other software to finish making a font as well as be able to make the font automatically be added to my library for use in other Adobe Cloud apps or share/upload to Stock.

Select objects underneath
Sometimes there are duplicate objects below your most top object. There should be a command or feature that lets you see/ select duplicate geometries right below your top shapes.

Undo feature do not apply to selected objects
Basically what the title says,
An ability to isolate objects or lock certain layers where the undo feature will not apply to.
There have been a number of times where I start to work on a complex graphic with separate parts to it where I later realize I made a mistake on a piece i did earlier, so instead of saving the project, undo everything, save again and re import the previous saved file or other copy paste methods, we can just select the objects where the undo feature will not apply to, to keep the progress of the work…1 vote -
Please, for the love of god, add a key command or right click function to either collapse or expand all layers in the layer panel.
We work on enormous files with a complex layer arrangement. It gets frustrating when a layer containing a selected object expands itself whenever a different layer is interacted with. For the sake of organising your workspace, there really ought to be a button (in the options menu or what have you) that allows you to just collapse all layers. Obviously the opposite - expanding all layers - would be equally valuable. Muchos gracias.

AI 2023 does not associate AI and EPS files correctly
Problem: after installing AI 2023 (vai CC update process) all of the .ai and .eps files are not associated with AI 2023 in Windows 11. The files now show up as "unknown filetype" and the AI 2023 EXE is not in the normal place.
This should never be a problem. Its not a problem with other CC updates, PDF files, PSD files, ext...

Offset path within appearance palette
It would be good to have 'offset path' built into the appearance palette, so you could automatically draw a stroke which was a double line, maybe of two different colours or widths, and it would perfectly shape itself around corners and bends.

Eyedropper doesn't include the arrow heads on a line
If I have a line selected and I use the eyedropper on a different line with a stroke and arrow heads, it only copies the stroke not the arrow heads.
Please make it include the arrow heads.
Also, the most useful arrow head is number 27, it should be number 1 not number 27.
In fact, if there was a checkbox you could click in the stroke properties window that automatically changed a line to a measurement label so it put an arrowhead 27 on each end, changed the stroke to like 4pt yellow, and a text box half way…
1 voteThe Eyedropper tool’s options can be configured to transfer arrowheads, which are treated as 'complex appearance'.

The ability to create individual strokes on each side of a rectangular. By now I create a fill and transform it into a stroke using the transform effect. Obviously, this is a workaround with its own downsides.

Artboard size no longer shows 4th decimal place
You can create a document with 4 decimal places, but it will no longer show you that exact measurement in the toolbar unless you click the Artboard Options button (otherwise it is now rounded to the 3rd decimal place). Likely not an issue for most people, but this could cause confusion/issues in industries where small rounding issues can cause problems when repeating artwork. I'm fairly certain earlier versions of CC 2023 didn't have this issue, but I know for a fact this was not the behavior in CC 2022 or earlier.

Save SVG without the enable-background style property being added
The enable-background property seems to be automatically added into the svg code when created. That attribute is deprecated and no longer recommended to be used. There doesn't seem to be a way to avoid it being in there, and the only option is to manually strip it out of the svg code. Could a feature update be made to stop automatically adding this property?

Simple Drop Shadow Action - make action active
I'm trying to create a drop shadow action for a specific ratio that will be used company wide. But each time I try to record it, it doesn't want to stay active. It's always grayed out and unusable.

"alternate" Grid by keyboard shortcut
In technical drawings (but not only), sometimes we temporarily need a finer grid (more subdivisions) just for a couple of work steps, after which we return to the original (larger) grid.
It is painful that for this we always have to go and change Illustrator Preferences (back and forth).Feature suggestion:
In Illustrator Preferences make it possible to define two different grid subdivision values: "default" and "alternate".
The "alternate" grid is such that it becomes active immediately when holding a specific keyboard combination (e.g. ALT key) while drawing.

Please make New Swatch available all the time
Sometimes, I have a complex selection of unpainted paths, and then I need to create a color swatch to apply. But unfortunately 'New Swatch' is greyed out. Why? Why isn't it always available?

Adobe fonts do not auto activate reliably. Constant issues with Adobe fonts activating properly.
Your product does not auto activate and integrate "Adobe Fonts" properly. Fonts constantly fail to load or activate from the Adobe fonts library.
When features like this are not available, you are selling us a product that does not work. Everyone paying for an adobe subscription should be refunded based on the value of the feature. I.e. we should all be refunded for the value of PANTONE color use your app lost... why are we constantly paying to subscribe to a suite of programs that does not live up to the features promised? Send me a letter when the class…

Do not include objects outside artboard when exporting to jpg or png
When I export Illustrator files to jpg or png, it includes all shapes and objects sitting outside my artboard area. This is impractical, especially when working on a range of concepts and you just want to send the work to the client that is on the artboards and not all the working files sitting outside the artboard area.
1 voteChecking 'Use artboards' option forces Illustrator to ignore objects on canvas outside artboards, even when the one artboard is used only.
When the option is off, Illustrator will export the whole artwork on canvas.

Fonts do not displaying on Character panel
Select the text inside the illustrator and character panel is empty, never show any fonts be using. My computer didn't install the fonts but can display correctly in illustrator.
When exported to PDF, can check the fonts is using Lora-Bold.I'm really frustrated and worries, how to check incoming files if always having this issue.
Please help on this method.
